A little better...but it's goning to be really hard to get any sure-fire starters beyond the QB position this way...plus, we're giving up next year's first. 

 

I'm not sure trading up into the top 4 is worth it. Not when we'll have a great chance at Mayfield or Jackson...or, grab Rudolph or someone else later. 

 

I'd almost rather stack a roster with talent first...then go get a QB next year or 2020. Depending.

Granted, it's rare to see this much moving - but look at the top of this draft: By trading down from 12 to 28 with PITT, we pick up another 2 - and get a potential placement for Shady one day. I don't think Tim Settle lasts until round 4, but Michael Gallup is one of the vastly underrated WRs in this draft - PFF has him rated as their No. 1 WR this year. And look what we pick up in the 3rd - a day 1 starter opposite Tre White in Davis Carlton. 

 

I would be thrilled with this draft - even with three fewer picks at the bottom. This draft gives us - literally - 8 potential starters. That's insane.

Yes, draft-pick's rating are crap. But I'm not going for a good score - I'm going for potential starters and/or contributors.

As far as the depth chart goes, I say we do a cage fight tournament to whittle the group down to 6 (including AJ and Nate) and then have an open competition.
