Lions looking to Trade Ebron

Recommended Posts

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Lions were "listening" to trade offers for Eric Ebron at last week's Combine.

Ebron's $8.25 million salary becomes guaranteed on the first day of the new league year, next Wednesday, and Schefter says Ebron is "a name to watch in the coming days" on the trade market. The Lions have maintained the stance that they're keeping Ebron for his contract year in 2018, but they obviously aren't married to the idea. The No. 10 overall pick in 2014, Ebron hasn't at all lived up to his draft status. He wouldn't fetch more than a mid-round pick or a similarly unproductive player at a bloated salary. GM Bob Quinn didn't draft Ebron in Detroit.

Is he worth a 3rd?

Somewhere Doug Whaley just started feeling a little bit "aroused" at the idea.

Ebron worth a third round pick?

No, and never!

id throw a 5th.  we would get it back if he leaves in FA next year via comp pick...

Send them next year's 5th (with a condition that it can become a 4th if certain benchmarks are met). They'll take it.
