An AFC team has already offered a second-round pick for Foles, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation. The offer was proposed earlier this offseason, per the source.

At the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last week, both head coach Doug Pederson and executive vice president of Howie Roseman left the door open for Foles to be traded.

Pederson said in Indianapolis that he wouldn’t feel right blind-siding Foles with a trade, “if that happens,” the clearest indication that the Eagles are willing to move Foles for the right price.

Teams from the AFC most commonly linked to pursuing a quarterback are the Browns, Bills, Jets and Dolphins. The Browns have two second-round picks, one of which came from the Eagles in the Carson Wentz trade, as do the Bills and Jets. The Dolphins have one second-round pick.

The Browns, Jets and Dolphins could also get their new quarterbacks in the first round, especially given the position depth this year. The Browns pick first and fourth overall. The Jets pick sixth. The Dolphins pick 11th. The Bills select 21st overall, which might them more willing to deal a pick for an established quarterback.

MoreIf they wind up moving Foles, that will say a lot about their belief in Nate Sudfeld.

Eagles have fielded - not solicited - more than one inquiry and offer for Nick Foles. Eagles' basic answer is it's going to take more than the 1st and 4th round picks they got from Vikings for Sam Bradford. Foles is Super Bowl MVP and best insurance policy in NFL.

IDK, a 2nd rd pick for a superbowl MVP who was absolutely lasering passes with pinpoint accuracy seems like a fair deal.

He was originally drafted in the 3rd. If traded, he will cost a 2nd or possibly 1st rd easily.

That is pretty interesting and we probably make more sense than any other AFC team. Cleveland and Jets and Broncos can draft their own QB, Jags just committed a lot of money to Bortles. If McBeane thinks we won't be able to trade up and take a QB it makes a lot of sense to go after a proven winner in Foles and use our draft picks on other positions.

Gonna have to invest in some offensive support if we get him.  One of our firsts and the remaining second round pick in support players.

I can't say I hate this strategy. You have to cover all your bases, and as a GM it might take a different approach to this thing. The Eagles won the SB when many said they were a one and done in the playoffs without Wentz (I know I did). They didn't exactly play " small ball " in the playoffs either. There aren't 32 elite QBs, and it may take the Bills entire draft or close to it to move up high enough for a guy they may not be sold on. There's something to be said for keeping that draft capital, the Bills roster isn't as strong as say , PHI or MIN.

id take Foles for a 2nd in a heartbeat.

If im the Browns, i would make that play too.  Get him, draft Barkley 1st.  Trade back from #4 and maybe take Lamar Jackson later in the 1st as a developmental guy with loads of extra picks.
