Slightly off topic but...the other day my 26 year old son who is not 'drinking savvy'(I know, I know, we tested his DNA, he's definitely mine despite this short coming) was asking about picking up some liquor at the state store.  he was giving me the list of what he wanted to make his desired concoction, rum, gin, etc, then he added in that he needed some jigger liquor....I felt so bad that I was laughing AT him so hard, but i just couldn't help myself.  :P

Funny this thread came up today...just found out yesterday Eddie Gadowski died on Christmas Eve this past year. Everybody in the Falls knows this guy was the best bartender ever.

Had Fish and Pierogis every Friday at Gadowskis growing up..what a guy

RIP Eddie

Watch this video; this guy must be the best bartender on the planet.

He oozes style and panache.

This is like bartending porn.

I like this guy. Must be a $50 cocktail though.

I lived in Hilton Head, SC back when they still had mini-bottles for all liquor. Tourists would come into a place I frequented and ask for a Long Island ice tea. Bar tenders had to warn them that it would be enormous, and about as much as one mortgage payment.

Long islands are my absolute favorite...

Once I drink one... I usually have about 5 more

Back in the mini-bottle days, once you drink one, you’ve HAD FIVE! It was like a small pitcher!
