ONE OF THESE JOKERS HAS TO BE BETTER THAN TYROD TAYLOR! IF TWO OR MORE ARE GOOD, TRADE BAIT FOR 2019.

very bold strategy!

Mocks are impossible to even get remotely accurate because of the trade ups and downs on draft day.    If everyone stayed put, there would be some value in them, but once the opening bell sounds it's chaos.

Here are a few things we know

1.  As a new GM and head coach, you have to figure on three years grace period to produce results until you get replaced.

2.  Our GM has shown pretty good skills in talent evaluation, free agent acquisitions and stockpiling picks.

3.  We are drafting a QB this year for sure.

Right now the Broncos and the Raiders are the two target trade ups, as they won't be drafting a qb and both sit in front of Jets and Dolphins who it seems will both likely be taking qb's this draft.  Broncos at 5, Raiders at 10.  The interesting thing is AFTER THE JETS PICK AT 6, THE NEXT FOUR TEAMS ALL HAVE QB'S (and even Miami at 11 with Tannehill, although there is talk Gase wants to move on, lots of Mocks have them taking a qb) which means there will be lots of offers flying around for teams in this zone.

I see it this way, if you think the guy you want is either Allen, Rosen or Darnold, then you're guaranteed one of those dudes if you're Beane, due to the Broncos "Open for Business" sign.  They're in a great spot to move down, and if you use the Jimmy Johnson trade value chart,  we could easily slide up to their spot with packaging our 21 and 22nd, and would have to throw in another 4th or 5th round pick to get to the 1700 points the chart says is needed to get into the 5th spot.

If you think the Jets are going to take someone you don't want, like Mayfield, then it gets even better, targeting the Raiders for a trade up at 10 to get ahead of Miami you would only have to give up our 21st pick and two second rounders.   In this case we could get our qb pick at 10 and still have another 1st round pick at 21 for our beastly DT.

Either way, the trade down with KC and still grabbing TreD who we desperately needed anyway will turn out to be a monster move in April.

We can line up all 4 at once and keep the defense guessing. Instead of WCO or spread the offense can just be called

i think we will have to get to 5 no matter  what for mayfield because i would bet indy will move out of 3. darnold and rosen will be gone. i would rather have mayfield then allen and i think he'll be the 3rd qb taken.
