MarkAF43
Trade him for what? Some new footballs? You would've gotten a 4th at best, probably a conditional 5 for him.
BuffaloBillyG
Oh could we have? What was offered and by whom? If I recall correctly, prior to Tyrod taking a pay cut I believe I read his agent tried to call other teams to ask about interest in his client...couldn't have been too robust a market if he still took the cut to stay here. DefenseWins
What's important at this point is that the Bills get a good "read" on Peterman... I don't expect him to set the world on fire immediately... He is a "rookie"... Let's not forget that and let's not forget that the OL is in a state of flux as well... And as I have stated several times here as well dating back to the preseason is that this is a "rebuild"... Some people here argued with me about that... Let's just take the rest of this season as it comes and hope to see the team and Peterman in particular progress from week to week... We still have a big decision to make in the offseason as to how high we should go to draft another QB... Even if Peterman shocks us and plays lights out football the rest of the way we still need to draft another QB at some point in the next draft... And I do wish TT the best wherever he ends up next season... He seems like an overall good guy and team player... There is a big difference between being a so called "hater" and simply concluding by observation that TT isn't good enough to be the starting QB on a playoff calibre team... No way that McD/B first incline that Tyrod is not the future of this organization just occurred today.... Unfortunate Could have gotten at least a 3rd or a player? The correct move at the trade deadline was not to trade TT. We were firmly in the playoff hunt and TT was a part of that road at that point. The difference was, when we were at the trade deadline, we had a top 10 defense. Since the trade deadline we have plummeted to bottom of the league in just about every defensive measurable. TT is not capable of carrying the load, and with a struggling run game and terrible D, this team has been pathetic because TT isnt close to good enough to offset those struggles. I would also note, the biggest issue has been the DL being manhandled and gashed since then. And at the trade deadline we traded Dareus to the worst run defense in the NFL. Since the trade, our defense has plummeted to among worst in NFL, and its worst unit as been DL by a mile, and the Jaguars run D has skyrocketed up and been a top 5 unit since the arrival of Dareus. And making it worse, all we got was a 6th which will NOT help replace Dareus and now we will be forced to use at least one pick in the first 2 rounds to TRY and replace him, which in itself has a losing percentage as more draft picks in the first 2 rounds bust or under perform to expectations than hit to be good to great starters. Also the Bills only have two viable QB's, why trade one of them away? Injuries happen. Same reason we got rid of Sammy Watkins and Darby and Jonathan Williams and Marcel Dareus and all the other 'talent' on our team.... The coaching staff took calculated risks based on what these guys true value was.... Just shows how the coaching staff was prematurely patting themselves on the back at 5-2 instead of realizing that Tyrod was dispensable at the time. He could've played extremely well, unfortunately, it didn't pan out. But as a head coach, with a position like QB, you have to let him play and see what you have. Now that you know, you can move on. They still might be able to trade him for something, who knows. That's if that is the direction they want to go Truth!
BarleyNY
We were 5-2 and coming off a decisive win against the Raiders at the trade deadline. You really think we should’ve traded Tyrod at that point? This is seriously what you’re thinking?

SinatraSinger
I think this front office will listen to any trade offer for any player on this team. No one is off limits. So more than likely FO did try to see if there were any potential trade partners and there wern't any.

Yeah and I could be a billionaire if I had only invested in Google's IPO. FFS talk about an exercise in futility... Never look back, you are not headed in that direction.
