  1. I am getting tired of hearing the fire McDermott people. I don't think they have a grasp of reality. It is tough to win in the NFL. Even the great BB in his first 5 seasons as a head coach in Cleveland made the playoffs only once and went 1-1, the following year he missed the playoffs and Cleveland ran him out of town, how do you think Cleveland feels about that now. Tom Landry, certainly a great coach, didn't even have a winning record for his first 6 seasons. In his first 4 seasons making the playoffs he was 1-4. Didn't win his 1st SB until his 12th year coaching, then won a second in year 18 so it took him another 6 years to get back to the SB. Then there is the great and powerful Andy Read. In his first 14 seasons as a head coach with Philadelphia he made the playoffs 9 times and his record was 10-9, going to the SB just once and losing. Philadelphia ran him out of town and he went to KC. Even in KC he made the Playoffs 5 of his first 6 years and his record was 2-5. So in his first 14 playoff seasons his record was 12-14 which is basically the same win percentage as McDermott. It was not until his 21st season as a head coach that he won a SB. Philadelphia gave up on him, they probably regretted it for a while, KC stayed with him even though his playoff record was 2-5 in 6 seasons and now Andy Read is basically considered God of all the coaches. It obviously took Read many seasons to learn and get it right. I'll stick with McDermott because I think he will get it right sooner or later. Oh, and one more. The great John Madden, second best win percentage ever. In his first 7 seasons he made the playoffs 6 times and his record was 5-6, sound familiar.
  2. He never said Allen sucks, he said stats don't matter. Also Allen led 4 scoring drives in those 6 losses, but they did not turn out to be winning drives. Our team is 8-6 and presently not in the playoffs. This is a team game, not an Allen game. Stop the bromance and look at the total picture. During the season it is only wins that matter. Right now Miami has more than we do, regardless of who they got them against. Also I would like to ask, what is more important, beating teams with winning records or not losing to teams with a losing record?
  3. I understand that the NFL is trying to cut down on the injury rate on returns, what I don't understand is the fact they they get the ball out to the 25 yard line. If ou call a fair catch at the 10 then you get the ball at the 10. Also if they are trying to cut down on injuries why not do the same on Punts. If the ball is kicked into the end zone on a punt it goes to the 20 yard line, so why not do the same on punts as they do on kick offs. If you call a fair catch on a punt inside the 20 then it automatically goes to the 20, that would be the same as the kick off rule other then the yard line. But they don't, so why is a fair catch on the kick off going to the 25 yard line. I would think that more injuries happen on punt returns then kickoff returns.
  4. I'll tell you a rule that should change:...............The being able to call fair catch on a kick off and automatically get the ball at the 25 yard line. I hate that rule. If you call a fair catch on a punt at the 5 yard line you get the ball at the 5 yard line, not on a kick off it goes to the 25 yard line. It takes away the strategy of trying to force the other team to return the ball. It irritates the crap out of me.
  5. But they replaced Dorsey with Joe Brady, another Carolina Re-run that had no success in 2 seasons as the OC with the Panthers, this team is lost and needs to start looking elsewhere for people other than the good old boys from the panthers.
  6. Mods, if this has been posted elsewhere please feel free to move it where ever you think it belongs Ken Dorsey has reached the level of his incompetence. I thought he did great as a Quarterback position coach and helped with the development of Josh, because of this I thought he would make an excellent OC, I was wrong. This offense has no Rhythm, no flow and looks extremely vanilla. Could it be that Ken Dorsey's mind can only handle a pro style college offense. He was great in college, not so much in the NFL. McDermott cannot handle two jobs. The Bills have a choice to make. Either make McDermott the head coach and hire a new DC, or make McDermott the DC and hire a new head coach. McDermott has proven that he cannot handle both. Just my opinion on this whole season so far.
  7. That might be the case, but it is because of those other games we have already lost that makes this one, that much more important.
  8. Are you saying that you don't think that Josh force fed Diggs last night. Josh had 30 attempts and 16 of them went to Diggs, you don't consider that force feeding, over 50% of the attempts to one individual. Only 3 to the supposed #2 WR. No attempts to RB's.
  9. I have a slightly different take on this. I agree the jags had the advantage as they have been over there for 2 weeks, but the NFL didn't tell the Bills not to go to London until the Thursday before and then do a walk through practice on Friday because the players were tired. Supposedly the Bills had a plan for the time change, well that obviously didn't work. Why weren't the Bills in London on Monday or Tuesday at least. The Ravens are on their way today for their London game next week. The whole way that the Bills handled the game was putrid. I like McDermott but his plan for this was pathetic. Hopefully they learned for the next time they have to go to London.
  10. I've taken all this information down and hope to make the tailgate in lot 26. Unfortunately I am attending with 5 others, 3 are Jets fans, 1 is a Giants fan and the other is a Panthers fan, though he says that the Bills are his second favorite and will be in Bills gear for the game. I am so excited about going and can't wait to see the Bills beat up on the Jets this year. I'll be in section 349, either row 14 or 15. I'm coming from Rochester, NY so I won't have a dish to pass, but will be more than happy to contribute if I can make the tailgate.
  11. And yet you still found it impossible not to look and then respond with a post that is a LAMP in and of itself.
  12. I love this idea Let's just say it was a fleeting moment Was the milk for your cereal sour this morning? I'm with you Bobby Hooks. Certainly I could do it myself, but why? I'm not rich but I can afford to have someone else do my deck and make sure it is done right.
  13. I had a person who restores decks come to give me a quote this morning and his name was Josh Allen. I of course busted his chops about that and he replied that he was Josh Sr. and the other was Josh Jr. I chuckled but then he hit me with this little tid bit, this guy is a Dolphin fan. A freaking Dolphin fan. I asked him if he really wanted the job. I had a mind not to. I like his price, he was very professional, reviews are great but he is a Dolphins fan. I decided to give him the job when I remembered that it is no longer the 70's or early 80's and the Dolphins are no loner our real rivals. For the last 20 years it has been the Pats, but I now think it is becoming the Jets, just my .02 So what would you have done?
  14. Me too, over there I was known as "Flea". I enjoyed those boards and actually miss them. I preferred the less moderation, but that's me. I am also not a fan of all the threads being merged. Like some posters have said, you end up with oodles of pages that are hard to scroll through. Then you get multiple people saying the same thing over and over and over because no one actually reads through the pages. But like I said, that's just me. I'm here now and it is what it is.
  15. Can't Dorsey sit and think while the Bills Defense is on the field?
  16. I agree with the OP. This team is now more motivated then I think they have ever been. I wouldn't want to be the Patriots tomorrow. The game could be over by the end of the 1st quarter. The team will carry this motivation right through the playoffs. If I was any other team I would not want to play these guys at the moment.
  17. I believe that there are times in competitive sports where playing for someone else, is enough to rally and want to play and play well
  18. I believe that what Damar would want is all that should matter to his fellow players. Yes I understand that Damar can't speak at the moment, but I believe that these guys get to know each other and they know what he would want in this situation. I also believe that Damar would want them to play. So if the vote goes to the players then the game will not be forfeited. That is my opinion, which is worth as much as yours right now. We will have to wait and see what actually happens.
  19. I can't see the TEAM wanting to forfeit the game. The game may be forfeited but it would not be the TEAM making that decision. It would be higher up the food chain making that decision. I don't think for one second that Damar would want this game forfeited which is why the TEAM will not want to forfeit.
  20. Why do so many people think it would be OK to forfeit the game. Do you really think that Damar Hamlin would want his team to forfeit the game, I certainly don't.
  21. WHAT WOULD DAMAR WANT? If he is the competitor that I believe him to be. If he cared about the outcome of this game, which I am sure he did. If he went to battle week after week with his fellow players, which we know he did. If he cared about his fellow players, which I am sure he does, based on the fact that the other players obviously care about him. Then in my opinion, he would want this came to be played and completed. What ever the rest of us think is meaningless. What would Damar want?
  22. This game will be finished, because it has to be for many reasons. The game will be finished this week, either tomorrow night or Thursday night. If they play Thursday and then reschedule this weekend's game to Monday, the number of days between games is the same as Sunday to Thursday during the season. The playing Monday they will have time to prepare for the playoffs the following weekend if they are scheduled to do so.
  23. I just keep trying to think what Damar would want. He worked his whole life to get to where he is at. He worked hard the whole week to prepare for this game. He wanted to play this game. We are talking about competitors, hard core. This is obviously my opinion but if I am Damar I want this game to be played. I believe the other players on the Bills need to ask themselves the same question. If they believe the answer is that Damar would want them to play and they want to show respect for their fallen comrade, then they need to play the game. WHAT WOULD DAMAR WANT? For the Bills players that is all that should matter. So if the answer is we play, then play tomorrow or Thursday and move next weeks games for these two teams accordingly. If the team goes in with the attitude that they are playing for Damar they will then go in focused.
