@SalSports

Good news for Bills. CBs EJ Gaines and Leonard Johnson both full participants in practice today.

@JoeBuscaglia

McDermott says WR Jordan Matthews has not taken as many team reps as they would have liked this week. #Bills

McDermott said he thinks Cordy Glenn is getting to the point where he could start, but the determination has to be made by how they practice

McDermott said it’s trending in the direction of Ducasse starting at RG again, but added John Miller has had a good week of practice

#Bills running game ranks 17th in the NFL in YPG, 29th in YPC at 3.4. They used the bye week to look for answers to offenses true issue

What's the offense's true issue? Zero threat of a downfield passing game or zone-read calls to keep opposing teams from attacking the offensive backfield downhill.

Hey man, you shouldn't be so dismissive of Kaelin Clay and Deonte Thompson. :rolleyes:

I actually liked the Deonte signing--he's at least got some speed to threaten a defense over the top--something that this team sorely lacks, and that Tyrod has shown he can take advantage of

Week 7 game picks: Patriots over Falcons (again)

By Elliot Harrison

There is football on this weekend. Enjoy! Game Picks are below ...

Buffalo Bills 23, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, FOX

With the prospect of Jameis Winston missing action this weekend with a bum shoulder, we might be treated to Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Ryan Fitzpatrick revenge game! (You remember: He was a Bill four teams ago.) I don't know if you know this, but Fitzpatrick went to Harvard. That education should help him tremendously against the league's top scoring defense, in Buffalo, with the Bills fresh off a week's rest. Then again, the way this season has gone, Tampa probably wins 49-2. No matter what, this is a Doug Martin game. Give him 25 touches, no questions asked. Meanwhile, who knows what effort we'll get from the Bucs' run defense. In Week 2, they allowed 7 yards on nine carries to Jordan Howard. Last week, Adrian Peterson ran all over them to the tune of 134 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries.

ESPN: Bucs seek discipline against run to avoid Week 6 effort against Bills

The Bucs' run defense fell apart against the Cardinals, and they're now challenged to stop a similar rushing attack against the Bills.

@BuffaloBillsPR

The @buffalobills have been making things difficult for opposing QBs, holding opponents to the second-lowest passer rating in the @NFL.

Bucs defense getting healthy, 31st overall or not it's deceiving because they've been missing a lot of key guys so would expect a much better effort this week against a Bills offense still struggling to find a consistent identity.

5. Bucs second-year corner Vernon Hargreaves recently said, “I’m not making any plays, I’m not producing.” Yup. And you wonder about his confidence given the amount of cushion he has played with. He has a chance to close down that cushion on Sunday; the Bills do not have much speed at wide receiver.

6. Something the Bills and Bucs both do is line up with three tight ends and throw deep misdirection play-action. Defensive coaches Sean McDermott’s and Mike Smith’s zone units almost certainly faced this tactic in training camp. They must be ready for it Sunday.

@Gil_Brandt

Most pass breakups (through Week 6) T. White 11 R. Melvin 11 J. Ramsey 9 T. Mitchell 9 McCourty 9 J. Mills 9 Bouye 8 P. Robinson 8 Slay 8

Highest burn % (through Week 6) Hargreaves 73% K. Williams 73 X. Howard 67 Waynes 66 K. Jackson 65 Mills 63 Apple 63 Butler 63 Douglas 63

Most QB pressures (thru Week 6) Buckner 29 D Lawrence 28 Donald 26 Houston 24 Ingram 23 C. Jones 23 Hughes 23 Flowers 22 Campbell 21

@mikerodak

Jameis Winston will start Sunday vs. the Bills, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter tells local media. Bills spent 90% of prep this week on Winston.

Just saw this on twitter too, unless this is a huge misdirection it's an interesting move on TB's part because no way Winston will be close to 100%.

But then again it shows the desperation TB's in right now knowing they will move to 2-4 with a 3rd straight loss and have 2 division games on deck.
