I get this email blast or whatever from some guy in the music industry my friend (who is in the industry) turned me onto a few weeks ago. He said, totally substantiated and knowing the family will be pissed, but he thinks it's drug related. I have the feeling he was back on opiates. He didn't look, act or sound right in this video. it would seem easy to blame drugs given his past history. but I don't believe it was the case and didn't even before I found this article today. he was obviously in rough shape and likely combined with age, hard life and a tour that looked to take everything out of him physically, did him in. Why the eff did/does Macca ruin such a great song with 3-4 minutes of Na na na na..............When I've seen it in concert, I'm like please end this.........When I hear it on the radio, I change it when it gets to that part. So he ripped off Roger McGuinn, and wasn't the Beatles. He also couldn't deliver the payload of a B-17 from 24,000 feet. I also remember a previous post where you were certain Keith Moon had to have over-dubbed his drumming during live performances because he couldn't have done it that well, lol. UNFORTUNATELY TOM’S BODY SUFFERED FROM MANY SERIOUS AILMENTS INCLUDING EMPHYSEMA, KNEE PROBLEMS AND MOST SIGNIFICANTLY A FRACTURED HIP. DESPITE THIS PAINFUL INJURY HE INSISTED ON KEEPING HIS COMMITMENT TO HIS FANS AND HE TOURED FOR 53 DATES WITH A FRACTURED HIP AND, AS HE DID, IT WORSENED TO A MORE SERIOUS INJURY.
