The woman I'm with says you wrote that, that way, because you're trying to fool the NSA puter.

I say you just got it wrong, or, you're drawing additional irony/chaos to this thread merely underscore it's utter stupidity.

Who's right

Isn't that exactly what taking on Brock's contract would consist of?

Ok, first of all that is why I am asking the question about the cap ramifications, it's too complicated to figure out. I was just hoping for someone to explain if numbers could be worked out on their contracts but I should have known better around here. Secondly he played for Dennison in Denver and at the time of him becoming a FA Denver was trying to retain him. Last but not least the guy is 6'7", it looks like the Cardale trade is going to haunt us.

2017 Cap hit in a trade/cut is 18 million

2018 Cap hit in a trade/cut is 5.5 million

....your numbers do not seem right.....2019 looks like the earliest feasible "out year"................

Are you serious with this BO talk? You can't be with any real study of his recent play at HOU last season and now with CLE. Terrible idea!

Interesting post. Two almost worthless players (for different reasons) with big contracts. I wonder if Cleveland would even consider this, even though they get the better player (by far). They dealt with Gordon and Manzel, recently. At least Osweiler is guaranteed to be available to play. Who knows with the fat captain!

Sorry folks but Dareus is as good as gone, it's just a matter of when. Oh, btw, it looks like we are in serious need of some QBs.

...in 2019, he's as good as gone. Any trade before that is just not possible unless you want the Bills to absorb a $20M dead cap hit.

2017 Cap hit in a trade/cut is 18 million 16.4 salary cap hit - 38.6 dead = 22.2 million (not the 18)

2018 Cap hit in a trade/cut is 5.5 million 16.5 salary cap hit - 22.2 dead = 5.7 million hit

I didn't realize he was tall. Maybe we can trade Dareus to the Washington Bullets for this guy:
