Cincinnati Game Day Experience

In a word: Excellent.

This was my first Bills road game, ever.

Parking without a pass is a challenge, so plan ahead if you go to Paul Brown Stadium. We paid $40 to park.

We went to a bar called the Holy Grail, which was across the street from the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame.

The patrons there were VERY friendly - letting us up to the bar to order drinks, holding doors, etc. You know - the things we expect from adults in our country.

My favorite beer was a locally brewed IPA called Madtree PshycHOPathy. Delicious and only $8 a pint.

Getting into the stadium was very fast, as in we didn't have to stop walking until they scanned our tickets.

The fans could not have been more classy and more fun to be around. Super friendly for the entire game. Listening to them lament about their team was like reading a lot of posts on here. I had to laugh.

There was one guy standing directly in front of us who was clearly inebriated. Double-fisted and could barely stand. People put up with him, as - at first - he wasn't being belligerent. But then he had some words with a young lady who had two children with her. She went somewhere (maybe to get security, I don't know). Then the guy started basically chanting, "your mom sucks," to the kids (about 7-10 years old).

A couple of us told him to shut up and quickly flagged down security, who escorted him out within seconds.

All in all, it was a great experience and I was really happy with how friendly the home team fans were.

I would definitely attend another game there.

All the Bengals fans were at the mall in their AJ Green jerseys because it was kind of cold out for a football game. They might remember to check the score on their phones and post on Facebook that Marvin Lewis should be fired and Mike Brown is cheap.

😂 Summed up Bengals fans perfectly. To the OP, glad you had a good experience there. I've been to Cincy 4 times I believe and had mostly positive experiences as well. After the why so serious / Stevie game we had some losers try to start a fight with us for literally no reason other than the fact we were wearing Bills stuff and won.

Another time some guys that were trashed started with us in the parking lot after the game but we diffused the situation and ended up playing catch with them.

Like anywhere (The Ralph included) the "good people" always far outnumber the idiots, but the idiots always leave more of an impact. Cincy is one of the better away experiences I've had, but I've seen some ugly there as well.

Good to hear. I'll tell my friend, the GM at Mad Tree, you loved Psychopathy. I go there a few times a week.

Was driving home yesterday from Philly and listened on satellite. Sounded quiet in there.

Really like Mad Tree Brewing Co and have been buying their stuff a lot over the last 2 years or so. Psychopathy is a great beer.

Do they still have Houdapole (sp) beer there? My dad had a job offer in 1976 there (I was 16) and they wine and dined us and took us to Reds games. I still remember in between innings when it was 'Happy houdy time" at old Riverfront which of course was 4 years old then, Ironically the two games were against Gugny's Mets but a rain out the weekend before screwed us out of seeing Seaver.

Jimmy/Bob - It was not packed, by any means. We found the crowd to be very quiet, too ... even on Bills 3rd downs.

Ryan L Billz - there was plenty.

Fergy - the Note went as far as Western PA and back; not to OH. But it was a comfy, economical ride. Dink.

Mike - In stadium, I had a Goose IPA, then stuck with domestic cans.

Seasons - Please do tell your friend how much I loved the beer. If he wants to send me some, PM me and I'll give you my address!!

John - I saw on ESPN this morning that Burfict was flipping the double bird to Bills fans. Didn't see players trying to get the 12th man into it, though.

Bills Fan Miami (OH) - the Miami of OH band played halftime. They were great!

Fan - Let's Go Mets!!

Yolo - Wait until we make the playoffs to talk smack, man!!

I love the Cincy people in general. My family and I go to a lot of Reds games and there is a southern charm to that place.

Not surprised that you had a good experience Gugs.

well it is just a stones throw from Kentucky : ) and Ken-Tucky is officially southern

I spent my college years in Cincinnati. Nice people, nice town, pretty conservative and they LOVE their beer. Big German influence. I go back annually for a college hoops game (Xavier, NOT UC). Was there for a Reds game a couple years ago and had a great time across the river in KY before walking across the bridge for the game. A lot of cool stuff in the area and a good time.
