Rocky Landing
@JoeBuscaglia #Bills silence on Seantrel is deafening, Wood restructure meaning + more in my 7 #Bills thoughts & 3 random musings: https://t.co/BS5dL5VTuL I hadn't even thought about the potential of this game as "pivotal" in relation to the Ravens being a potential competitor for a wild card spot down the road. Man, it sucks looking at every season in terms of "will this be the year we get the wild card." Regarding the silence regarding Seantrel: his suspension also frees up a spot for the next four weeks which was immediately filled by Gay. And, we don't really need Seantrel, yet. Is that just a little bit convenient?

Freddie's Dead
Enough with Jordan Gay. We carry two kickers on our roster, something that no other NFL team does. Any wonder why we haven't made the playoffs in 16 years? It seems like such a small thing, but it's emblematic of the approach the Bills take to everything. Here's a crazy idea, why don't we look at successful teams and try to emulate them instead? Make your choice Rex, Gay or Carp, and let the other one go. WhitewalkerInPhilly
@viccarucci Here's my first #Bills Take Five of the season. No time to waste in finding a pass rush. NEW at BN Blitz: https://t.co/Idmfww0uEi Here are my five takes on Sunday's season-opener between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium: 1. Find a pass rush. Now! 2. Tyrod Taylor needs to give a next-level performance. 3. Don't forget about the run. 4. Don't let Steve Smith Sr., and Mike Wallace beat you. 5. Hold up in the heat. @TheBillsWire Bills vs. Ravens: 5 things to know before Week 1 https://t.co/shQENpAiZk Vic would also like to recommend scoring more points than the other guy as essential for victory. Could end up saving us 7 points. Fine, then have Carp kick it high to the 20 yard line for a fair catch. If we're that afraid of Devin Hester, we've got bigger issues. The Wiz
A question on Gay: after four games, if they bring back Seantrel, will Gay still be PS eligible? Ummm, You want to decipher it, be my guest. It sounds like he is still eligible as long as he's not active for 6 weeks. Also find it funny that his wiki lists his profession as "kickoff specialist" Eligibility is limited to players who were on an active roster for fewer than six games, or were on the 45-man active gameday roster for fewer than nine games. Plenty of practice squad spots will go to rookies who are still adjusting to the speed and skill of the NFL, but players with limited gameday experience or previous time on the practice squad to start their career are usually eligible, too. A player is allowed on the practice squad for up to two years, with one year counting as six weeks in a season. A third year on the practice squad is only allowed if the team keeps 53 players on the active-inactive list at all times. It’s where Rex Ryan and Tyrod Taylor got their starts, and Ed Reed authored a Hall of Fame playing career. It’s where safety Corey Graham won a Super Bowl. If that’s not enough intrigue, it’s easy to imagine the season opener for both teams having big postseason implications. Under John Harbaugh, the Ravens have been regulars in the AFC playoffs – a position the Bills are desperate to reach. With that being the case, Sunday shapes up to be one of the most eagerly anticipated season openers in recent memory. Doc
Hester hasn't returned a KO for a TD since 2011 and only has 5 KOR TD's in his career (he had 2 in each of his first 2 seasons). His KOR average was 26.1 last year. I think the plan will be to have Gay KO to the middle of the EZ and Hester, being under pressure to return everything to justify his signing, will feel forced to bring it out. Then you can have the Ravens start prior to the 20-yard line if the coverage teams are decent.
