Report says the Pegula jet made a quick trip to Boston, left Buffalo at 1120-- got into Boston at 12:20 and was leaving 50 minutes later.--- perhaps a pickup?

Hopefully another VC meeting: https://flightaware.com/live/flight/XSR960

And for those curious, Hanscom field is 17 miles from north reading which is where Vesey is from.

F5 F5 ground up in the freezer....

Vesey said he's going to take his time, which I can't blame him for. This could be the most important decision of his career and he holds all the cards. I don't see him making a decision, or at least stating his intentions, until after August 15th. I love the trade by GMTM though, it guaranteed the Sabres a chance to pitch the city and team. If they waiting until 8/15, maybe they wouldn't have had that chance. GMTM said everyone would call him a dummy if JV didn't sign after trading a 3rd round pick, I am definitely not one of them. I think either way it was a chance worth taking.

Also....found this while reading up on JV.

Rick Martin trade tree, pretty interesting:

Chris Ostrander (of Two in the Box fame) has produced this spectacular graphic which details the Rick Martin trade tree, and all the players that have come and gone through Buffalo since that time.

"Going through the tree is like a walk down Sabres memory lane, and when you look at the number of players who can be linked back to that original trade, the ‘Butterfly Effect’ of every single move an NHL General Manager makes really comes into perspective."

that is cool as hell! The Don Edwards tree is fascinating to me. Wow, the names on that tree were awesome.

Mogilny became Mckee, warrener, and Peca...tons of those nuggets in there...and the names..what a trip down memory lane

LaFontaine became Petey :lol:

Jean Luc Grand Piere...lord i had high hopes for that dude..his name was just awesome more than anything

Lee Fogolin JR...dont remember him at all...but remember the old man well.

Thanks for sharing

@CSNNE

Jimmy Vesey tells @HackswithHaggs that there's a short list of teams he's still considering - #Bruins https://t.co/kAIdeJM2tO

Watching that clip I came away with the distinct impression that he is a very thoughtful and unassuming kid that you don't have to worry about getting in trouble at 3 in the morning on Chippewa.

No billboard "we want you" campaign is going to influence this smart and grounded kid. The Sabres are taking the right approach in making their professional pitch and then giving him the room to decide on his own.

@SabresPR

The Sabres have signed forward Marcus Foligno to a one-year contract. https://t.co/MXYdjuHshd

@StepnerWKBW

Marcus Foligno's one-year contract is for $2.25 million. Same as last season. #Sabres

@DaveDavisHockey

The Sabres have $6.8M of available cap space, but have yet to sign RFA's Ristolainen & Girgensons. And they really could use another D-man.
