The sour grapes story implies jealousy at some level. How on Earth could anyone be jealous of the Maple Leafs? They spend like the Yankees and win like the Knicks.

They are not allowed to spend any more than any other team.

Maybe your funniest line ever. Well played, Sir, well played.

Except for the fact that the NHL has a hard cap and they can't spend like the Yankees and just pay the luxury tax, but yeah, other than that, brilliant!

LOL that you keep objecting to the Yankee comparison but have nothing to offer on the Knicks comparison.

Sorry don't watch BB. Are the Knicks an up and coming team stacked with young talent after sucking forever?

@pham1717

Murray said his meeting with Vesey went well and they told him it went well. He said there's no timetable.

Murray also said he told Vesey he earned free agency and that he owes the Sabres nothing.

Murray on Vesey "If he wants to reach out to us and have another meeting then we’re there, but for this is in his court and I don’t sit at home and speculate about this.

I like Murray's honesty.

The below link is a column by Mike Harrington of the News. It points out that the organization is at a stage where it has realistic playoff expectations. Harrington points out because the talent level is increasing the upward trajectory is evident. The franchise has a good pipeline of developing players and steadily they will be added to the mix making for not only a good team, but a competitive team that is sustainable for the near future.
