His premise is that because Tyrod hasn't done anything behind Joe Flacco, and that no one has expected to do anything, he couldn't do anything. John from Riverside Posted June 9, 2015 Share Posted June 9, 2015 The untalked about elephant in the room It is sooooo hard to find a NFL franchise QB - Most drafted dont work out - Teams that have one do NOT trade them So what do you do.......to me this falls under the "leave no stone unturned" thing - Was the most successfull QB coming out of that school since Michael Vick (and say what you want about Michael Vick the player....there WAS a time in the NFL when he was a hot commodity) - Was a winner in college - The athletic measurables (besides height) are off the chart The thing we dont know.......with only 40 NFL passes......can he actually play QB? All I want is a QB that will not turn the ball over......move the chains for that first down where it by his arm or his feet.......not get hurt......and make the RIGHT decision when he has NFL defenders bearing down on him. Give him a shot and let's see this preseason what he can do. He was a great college player and is an athletic freak. Stranger things have happened. His last line about this clause is backwards as it is obviously in there for the player and really has nothing to do about faith in the player from the team's perspective. I know this is total pipe at this point but what if Tyrod actually ended up being decent.....the bills sign him to a modest contract due to lack of prior production. And that was back in '09. Too many teams out there too desperate at the QB position to count on much of a discount, if any, I'd think. It's not even that his points and information were bad as much as it is the way he expressed such strong feelings and certainty that's grossly disproportionate to the nature and weight of the evidence and strength of the logic he's using to get there. Southern Bills Fan Posted June 9, 2015 Share Posted June 9, 2015 I think that it's worth taking a chance with Taylor. I looked at his college stats and he did get better each year. His senior year he had a 59.7 completion percentage and 24 td's with 5 picks. Those are good numbers. He hasn't had a shot in Baltimore so who knows? Make him the starter this year, probably not.
