Don't rule out Niagara Falls, N.Y. as Bills future home

lol, the same joke literally made about every politician ever.

Like I said, say what you will about him or anyone else, the involvement of a US Senator on this stadium committee is a good thing.

well, i agree.. schumer has been a bills supporter for sure and do like him for that.. but otherwise... well, ill leave that for the political board threads..

Ever been on a cruise ship? You know they give you a card to get on and off the boat? Imagine the Bills do that for Canadian season ticket holders, something like a Nexus pass. Canadian fans would get pre-screened and issued a card for crossing the border.

Now consider closing the Rainbow Bridge on game days to vehicle traffic and make everyone walk (or shuttle) across. It's a lot faster screening people when there isn't a vehicle involved. Canadian fans can park in NF,ON, or take a bus or train. (VIA rail connects NF, ON to Toronto.) Then they walk over to the new stadium built near the bridge.

No

No the thousands of folks that come from Jamestown, Dunkirk, Olean, Slamanca, Fredonia, Busti, Lakewood, Findley Lake, Cassadaga each week to support the Bills, plus not to mention our friends down in Warren Pa, Sugar Grove, Youngsville and even those that come from Erie Pa.

...Elmira, Corning, HORSEHEADS, Bath, Hornell....

i hate the idea of a domed stadium anywhere

i do like the idea of sharing facilities with U of Buffalo as it could only help them in recruiting as well

Blame the fans if it happens. The Bills inability to sell December games, and I know their performance hasn't helped, will make any new stadium guaranteed a dome of some variety.

Its not just the Bills inability in December,

The Buffalo Bills have the worst weather in the NFL...

( I don't blame the fans)

No disrespect intended. All kidding aside there are lots of solid Bills fans down there, and if I ever have the good fortune to move back to WNY, that's where I plan to live myself. But the southern tier market clearly pales in comparison to the potential market in Southern Ontario.

From what I understand, similar to Met Life where you need to park away from the stadium if you want to tailgate and then take a shuttle or train. I haven't been there but thought I read that somewhere.

Well call it whatever you want, but everyone should realize that if there's a new stadium it's going to have a dome on it.

It's easy to see the Bills new owner supporting a NF stadium location, and it would not surprise me at all if a pre-vetted front runner is already quietly steering the committee to a NF stadium site recommendation. The site choice is incredibly important to the financial success of the new owner's investment, and there's no way that this committee won't be steered by the owner's wishes.

A NF stadium site is the most effective way to put a stake in the heart of Toronto's NFL ambitions. To ensure their long term survival, the Bills MUST do everything possible to obliterate Toronto as a threat to their market over the long haul. A NF stadium is the best possible way to do that, short of moving over the border. WNY needs a new owner more than he needs WNY, so the Committee will make whatever recommendations that the new owner wants them to make.

If the NFL signs off on a local owner-NF stadium site package, it signals to me that the NFL recognizes they can't have 2 viable franchises existing 90 miles apart, and have chosen WNY over Toronto once and for all. That would be a monumental statement. Game, set and match.

The idea of a shared Bills-Bulls training site in Amherst helps unlock lots of NYS funding. While leveraging NYS' help, this reported stadium-training site arrangement also skirts the NCAA's "no alcohol sales on campus" rules that rule out an on-campus stadium.

I've always thought a Dome would be better for fans and players.

It might however be a wise to get an opinion/vote from the season ticket holders...

Anything to brighten the Falls wasteland. Went to the casino on the US side one night a few years ago and thought the downtown area literally appeared wasted. A stadium would likely come "cheap" there. Tear all those abandoned buildings down and bring in something that would pump some money, from both sides of the border, into the area.
