Dorsey was not interchangeable. He had very poor play calling rhythm. Almost like a DJ that picks songs but plays them all in the wrong order and instead of building a night towards something and taking people on a journey, it just ends up as a bunch of songs all randomly played together with people wondering what's going on. His spacing on pass plays was abysmal and helped cause a lot of interception issues with Allen because receivers were too close to each other which means that their defenders were also closer, meaning too many people around the ball when it was thrown. There was a reason why the offense looked so disjointed under Dorsey so often and struggled to consistently score points. He simply lacked the "feel" for play calling that all the good ones have. Knowing when to call certain plays and when not to. He also used almost no motion meaning that Allen had no easy answers pre-snap like he does under Brady. You can say whatever you want about stats and numbers but as always, those don't tell the whole story. He was fired and deserved to be fired. This team was going nowhere with Dorsey continuing to call plays. Clearly he did not or he wouldn't be allowed back in the game. Stop presenting your thinly veiled opinions that are highly agenda driven as facts when they don't even logically make sense.

So, how is everyone feeling about this defense going into the playoffs?

I'm hoping they do what normal team's defenses do in the playoffs...get better instead of worse like this one usually does. -

Wild Card date and time (rumor/speculation)

Unless it's the Bengals, I would expect a pretty comfortable win -
Dorsey was directly responsible for a lot of the turnover issues because his spacing for routes was so terrible, receivers ended up too close to each other which meant more defenders were in the area for passes being thrown. Something not talked about enough but shown repeatedly by Cover 1's film breakdowns. It wasn't magical that Allen's turnovers died down dramatically once Brady got here.

Well, it will be a little below average temp wise with highs in the low 20s and lows in the teens, but it won't be anything close to the Patriot wildcard weekend game where temps were like 2 or 3 degrees.

In what way? How is it hyperbolic nonsense when every other team mentioned had either multiple other All-Pro or HOF caliber players on offense surrounding the QB except for this one? The results are the results. There have been a lot of other teams throughout NFL history with similar or better pieces on offense across the board, including the O-Line, outside the QB. There has never even been anything close to this level of production from them. Certainly not at a level that puts them only behind what likely was the greatest offensive team in NFL history. Exactly what cluelessness are we talking about? The Bills had no business even being in that game with a defense that was giving up over 10 yards a play into the 4th quarter, and not only were they in it, they were leading for the majority of that game, and that was due to Brady coming up with an offensive gameplan that held onto the ball, ran it effectively and utilized short passes to control clock and keep the Chiefs off the field. They have actually scored 30 points exactly twice this season in back to back weeks against TB in OT and Carolina. They haven't scored over 30 points tho.

Why? KC is playing backups mostly against Denver and the Fins are playing the Jets. Cincy needs both of them to lose to get in and they need to win, which is no given against Pittsburgh. Too bad Indy lost or they would have needed the Colts to lose also.

Long enough to help us win a Super Bowl hopefully. Dawkins has become elite and Brown is approaching that level as well. They have just been alternately toying with and then manhandling their opposition most games. Remember when people were freaking out about not having a center and moving McGovern from guard? And how nobody actually believed that was their actual plan even tho they came out and said it? Yeah...turns out the Bills kinda knew what they were doing.

Yes...he has been integral in so many ways and embodies everything the coaches preach about doing your 1/11th, giving everything you've got and doing all the little things right that don't get noticed but are huge reasons why plays are successful. And then throw in his plays on a regular basis that are big time catches on 3rd down to move chains or TD catches. These are the types of players that help teams won championships and you can never have enough of them. Beane better re-sign him to a multi-year deal.

Now that the 53 is set, predict the Bills win total
Big Turk replied to Cash's topic in The Stadium Wall
LMAO...brutal huh? 😂 😂😂😂 And this is EXACTLY why I constantly am telling people that trying to determine how difficult or easy a schedule is based on last year is not only meaningless and futile, it's often times simply wrong by a country mile. Not only did our schedule not live up to it's advance billing, it was one of the easier ones in the entire NFL. -
I mean it's smart...the Giants just screwed themselves over with an offensive explosion for no reason to win a game that pushed them down from #1 overall to #4 overall. Patriots would be fools to win this game. They have no need to draft a QB and could trade the #1 pick for a massive haul(maybe to the Giants) that will accelerate their rebuild by infusing a lot of young talent around Maye.

That may be, or it may not be. What is very clear is that Allen has never had this level of offensive production before with any other OC or players surrounding him including Diggs. Yes, Allen is a huge part of it, but it's not a stretch to say that Brady has unlocked something in Allen that nobody else has.
-
You may not think so, but historically it does. The numbers don't lie. Ranking 2nd all time in terms of points/drive is an absurd level of production for the talent surrounding Allen which typically requires 2-3 other All-Pro/HOF caliber players other than the QB. It would fit perfectly with the "One of these things is not like the others" song from Sesame Street.

And with so many people declining to go, many people are "pro-bowlers" that never would have been and others who would have been aren't.

Not exactly true Role Brady was the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at LSU. He was responsible for installing the spread/RPO offense. Play-calling Brady often took over play-calling in critical situations, such as third downs or in the red zone. He also split play-calling duties with offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, who deferred to Brady in certain situations. Impact Brady's impact on the team was significant. In 2019, the Tigers led the NCAA in total offense, averaging 568.5 yards per game. Brady's work helped quarterback Joe Burrow have a record-breaking season, finishing first in nearly every statistical category.

That is irrelevant. All those other teams had all-time QB's as well. What separates this team is that there is nobody at an All-Pro or HOF caliber level on offense outside of Allen, whereas the other teams had multiple players at that level outside the QB. Effectively Allen is elevating the people around him at off the chart levels.
