Masterclass by McD - drops the Pats from #1 overall to #4

Just an absolute idiotic game by the Pats to screw themselves out of the #1 pick... Pats message board having a meltdown: - "This was a pathetic performance by the Pats. They played most of their starters on offense except Maye. The Bills played back ups and third stringers. The Bills weren’t trying to score. The Pats could only win by a TD. Sad. The Bills played like they were playing for the #1 overall pick. They were clearly tanking to make sure the Pats didn’t get it. Yet, the Pats decided you cannot tank for the #1 pick. It isn’t as bad as the Giants last week because they desperately need a QB, but pretty bad." - "Morons. Absolute morons. Bye bye trading down for a haul. Bye bye Travis Hunter. Hello another 4-13 year."- 125 replies

Only thing that mattered other than the Pats winning to screw themselves out of the number 1 pick and hurt their rebuild. -

Damn...didn't get Cook the rushing TD or a 14th player a receiving TD...why not put Gilliam back there for that play? -

Maybe, but you don't think the Giants for instance would be desperate enough to move up and get their pick of QBs. How often will the Giants be within striking distance of the #1 overall pick? No guarantee they suck that bad next year -

Go Pats!! Screw yourself out of the #1 pick and ability to trade out and obtain a boatload of picks/players from a team wanting to move up for a QB -

Damn has Van Pelt been eating with the OLine or something? Holy moly...dude looks like an inflatable -
Peyton Manning was so convinced that the locker rooms were bugged at Gillette Field and that they were cheating that he would make sure to take players into the showers and turn the water on during halftime to talk and make adjustments and they would take their playbooks with them and never leave them in the locker room because he thought the equipment guys were going in and making copies of them.

The only thing I see when I watch the Ravens is that when Derrick Henry doesn't get yards, Lamar struggles. This is the 7th or 8th time I've watched them this year and it's been true every single game. Henry is the MVP of that team.

Bills expected to have 2 extra 5th round compensatory picks in 2025
Big Turk replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taken into account: Key free-agent losses: Gabe Davis (Jaguars), Leonard Floyd (49ers), Tyrel Dodson (Seahawks), Dane Jackson (Panthers). Key free-agent additions: Curtis Samuel, Austin Johnson. Very easy projections here; the Bill lose four qualifying free agents and sign two. The deals for both Davis (from the Jags) and Floyd (from the 49ers) are substantially higher in APY than those given to qualifying free agents by the Bills; Samuel and Johnson end up canceling out the deals signed by Dodson and Jackson. It's worth noting that there is an outside shot the departure of Tim Settle could bring another seventh-round selection if he takes on a larger than expected role with the Texans. -

Due to Davis missing a significant amount of time this year injured, nothing we can do about that. -
Stems from losing Leonard Floyd and Gabe Davis in free agency.... https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/the-bills-should-be-receiving-two-extra-2025-nfl-draft-picks

Yes he would. Initially the owners approved a rule change to allow PS callups to be the emergency 3rd QB but this was seen as a way to stash players on the PS without paying them on game checks for being on the active roster so it was reverted prior to roster cut downs coming out of the pre-season.

This does not seem to be correct: "Q: When is an Emergency Third Quarterback permitted to enter a game? A: An Emergency Third Quarterback is permitted to enter a game only if the club's two active quarterbacks are unable to play either by disqualification or injury, including for example, if QB1 is unable to play and QB2 is being evaluated for an injury." https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-emergency-third-quarterback-rule-questions-and-answers

How would he go into concussion protocol from handing the ball off once and then leaving?
-
Wow...Allen is also about to win the MPV - "Multi Passenger Vehicle" Award now too?? Damn....dude is really cleaning up this year... 😂😂
-
But I thought that he would only be able to play if both other QB's were ruled out with injuries in that case? Clearly Allen wouldn't be out due to injury.

Who really wants that job? I mean Vrabel could be a good hire, but how likely is he to succeed with that ownership in place and how much he meddles in things?
