  1. Buffalo does it in the regular season too...they actually wrote the book on how to defend him when he played in Buffalo his MVP year and they were housing teams like 45-10 for weeks leading up to our game and then the Bills held them to 257 yards of offense and 24 points and made Lamar look pretty ordinary. Titans widely credited the Bills game plan as their basis for the one they used in the playoffs to beat the Ravens that year.
  2. You mean other than not being able to execute a simple handoff on the goalline when they are about to score on the first possession of the game?
  3. Ravens will get bounced regardless. Playoff Lamar is very different from regular season Lamar and far worse
  4. Bills clinch with a win and any combo of 2 losses in 5 games next week consisting of teams in the mix behind them. Believe it's the Steelers, Colts, Jags, Texans and Bengals. Really might only need 1 loss since Colts-Texans play each other the following week and one of those teams will lose in Week 18. Basically looks like the only thing in that scenario that keeps them out is both Pittsburgh and Cincy winning both of their games. Bills are out in that scenario.
  5. Maybe the one we wanted to the most but it was also likely the least important in the grand scheme of things
  6. 98%...well depending on how other games go that week. Bills could clinch a playoff birth next week with a win and a Pittsburgh loss in Seattle and a Cincy loss in KC. Basically there are 5 games that matter next week and any combination of 2 teams losing and a Bills win clinches a playoff spot.
  7. That's an absurd FG percentage. Over 96%?? Most kickers don't even have XP percentages that high! Yeah it's really maddening when Allen has one of the lowest turnover worthy play percentage in the NFL but has so many INTs...defenders are catching everything, then you watch other games and the same dude that made an amazing over the shoulder INT against Allen last week drops an easy one that looks like a punt. Yeah considering one miss can drop a kicker like 4% since they only have a finite number of kicks during a year and there is no difficulty rating involved it's not really meaningful overall... A missed 60 yard FG is not the same as a missed 35 yard FG but for all intents and purposes they are treated the same.
  8. I just don't think Trevor Lawrence is as good as everyone wants to make him out to be and that's where the disconnect is. People credit Lawrence for being an elite QB when he is simply a good one. Also...it's better to fight the Jags love than the law...I tried to fight the law once, and the law won. 🤣
  9. Eh, they have 5 wins by 20+ points, I wouldn't go that far and say "nothing" looks easy. The Fins, Jets and Cowboys games looked pretty easy. Not no more Billy.
  10. As I posted up-thread, the Bills have been the 4th most unlucky team in the NFL this year...they are well overdue for some things to go their way in games . Last year the Bills were 7th luckiest team...not surprisingly they finished 13-3. 2021, they were the 2nd most unlucky team...not surprisingly they found themselves in almost the exact same scenario they are in this year...7-6 and had to fight hard down the stretch to make the playoffs at 11-6. In 2020, they again were the 3rd luckiest team and finished 13-3. Based on trends and how it seems to alternate we very well might have luck on our side again next year.
  11. Not sure why people would even bother with the "should" anymore when literally 2/3 of the games that "should not" have gone the Bills way the past two weeks did and teams who "should" have lost won many times over the past 3-4 weeks. There are no "should" games at this time of year.
  12. Bills typically play their best against better teams, which is a good sign. Bills are 3-1 against the Dolphins, Cowboys and Chiefs with 2 of the wins being blowouts and the one loss was in OT to a Philly team we had a big lead on for most of the game with their kicker making a preposterous FG under the conditions to send the game to OT.
  13. You mean after taking a huge lead and then instead of trying to coast to an easy win, Allen wanted to put on a show and win 55-0? Let's not act like the game was even close for any other reason than the Bills were determined to not simply take a 27-10 win and cruise... Miami coming back was a direct result of the Bills refusing to play smart, safe football and continuously take needless chances with the football.
  14. More like Dallas' FB couldn't hold onto a handoff... seriously WTF was that?
  15. I suspect a game like last year's in Buffalo. They may hang for a bit but Bills pull away comfortably. Traditionally Allen plays the Pats pretty well.
  16. Have you seen WR1 stats against the Bills D this year? One of the best in the league against #1 WRs
  17. Bills now have a 91% chance to make the playoffs and that jumps to 98% with a win over the Pats next week. Not sure the last few weeks could have been expected to go much better than they have for us. Literally everything this week went our way except for a Fins loss. The way the Jags are playing lately and with Lawrence likely either missing a few or playing well under 100% in them they may not win another one... they've lost 4 straight Almost unfathomable considering our playoff odds were around 20% before the KC game
  18. Think he means if Denver loses tonight the best they can do is 9-8.
  19. Pat's had a 98.4 % chance to win this game at one point...would be almost as bad as the Dolphins loss to the Titans.
  20. Pat's doing everything in their power to blow this game and very drought version Bills sn@tch defeat from the jaws of victory.
  21. I dunno...I just don't remember many times that Allen hasn't delivered for us in those situations. The most common scenario in close losses is that he scores with under 2 minutes left to give the Bills the lead and the team blows it. Even in the Minnesota game where he lost the lead late with that idiotic fumble they recovered for a TD with under a minute left he drove them down to kick the thing FG. I'm always rolling with Allen if we need a TD to win the game under 2 minutes. He has been masterful in those situations.
