  1. Yup, NYT playoff simulator has the Bills at 80% right now before any other games. 37% chance to win the division, which based on the Dolphins track record of both not beating good teams this year and December fades for decades is more like 90% for me, IMO. After today's games the Bills will likely be around a 75% chance considering the following teams winning: Colts, Browns, Jags, Cowboys, Broncos. Cowboys win pushes the odds of the Bills winning the division to around 50-50. Really? Then why do West Coast teams have a notoriously poor record at 1pm Eastern games on the East Coast over many decades?
  2. I mean, did you ever see Jared Lorenzen? Every Chargers "home game" is actually a road game for them.
  3. Based on the Dolphins record against teams with winning records this year and their penchant of December fades for decades now, the realistic odds for the Bills to win the division are probably around 90%.
  4. Pretty sure we would win some form of multi-team tiebreaker depending on what teams they are as well at 10-7
  5. Allen missing a wide open Davis in man coverage across the field early on, I believe the first or second drive was a potential TD as well. There was nobody back there and Davis had at least 3-4 yards and was running away from the defender in coverage.
  6. When the OC was seemingly responsible for turning Allen into a shell of himself for much of the year, it makes a lot of sense. Hmm...are you sure about that? @Airseven is a Fins troll masquerading as a Bills fan and has absurdly negative takes pretty often
  7. What did I tell you about "lock games" this time of year? You thought the Bengals were a "lock" to beat the Steelers and instead they got their teeth kicked in and looked like they were the team falling apart not the Steelers. Surprised to see the Steelers kick their @ss so bad, but not that they won. They give the Bengals fits, even when they have Burrow playing. Have now won 3 of the last 4 games against the Bengals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W4Zf8Za0FE
  8. Hatin' on the Bills? Then you way off... Talk is cheap, meet us in the playoffs...
  9. Bills simply didn't have a lot of plays on offense tonight. Kind of a weird game.
  10. Allen being the first in NFL history to do something happens so often it has become almost routine and expected. Amazing how spoiled we are and don't even fully realize it yet.
  11. IMO, Davis was good but Oliver was the best player on the field, especially down the stretch when he made big play after big play to stymie the Chargers efforts.' He had 2 sacks of his own and for all intents and purposes the Poona Ford sack was a gift from Oliver forcing Stick right into Ford. Also...why would you be surprised Bills fans outnumbered Charger fans? It's like that for them every game no matter who their opponent is. LA literally HATES the Chargers...they are a Rams and Raiders town. Chargers have been hated there for decades and just because they moved there doesn't mean people will like them all of a sudden. Chargers are the only team in the NFL that plays 17 road games. They have to use silent counts at home on offense.
  12. And the refs didn't pick up an illegal lineman downfield flag when the man was like 5 yards downfield on the play.
  13. Pissed they advertised that bars would still be able to show the game even to it was Peacock Only, but the out of town bars I went to did NOT have it on... NFL should be held accountable for this.
  14. I'll take those odds for the Bills to win the division. If they get to week 18 with the division on the line, you have to like the odds versus a Dolphins team that usually implodes in those situations.
  15. Oliver was a monster who took over the game in the 4th quarter. Taron was all over the place. Bernard has some key stops and a big sack. Gabe Davis with a huge bounce back game. Shakir made 3 big catches that all came at important times in the game.
  16. None of this actually matters. It's a week to week league and having a mtachup against a team that has a clean slate with no tendencies and no game plans on tape to study is a pretty big disadvantage. Let's be real, that Chargers D has a LOT of talent on it and has badly underperformed and that fell directly on Staley. So it's no surprise they actually looked much better and players were being used differently like Derwin James at the LOS more and them havign double spies on Allen at times. I'd say the Chargers game plan was excellent and it's not they have a lack of talent on that side of the ball, if anything their head coach that got fired and called the defensive plays was holding them back. Tip the cap to them, Brady made some adjustments and the Bills made plays when they needed to. The Chargers have a LOT of talent on defense which is one of the reasons Staley got fired, because they were getting shellacked and players weren't being used properly. Their defense significantly underachieved all year, and really since Staley had been there. They made some significant changes like putting Derwin James at the LOS more and using double spies on Allen at times...the defensive gameplan was excellent, far better than they would have had with Staley and the players did a very good job attacking the ball and trying to get TO's.
  17. Not understanding that when you have nothing you can actually prepare for and have to adjust to everything on the fly and not knowing anything tendency wise is actually important is kinda shocking but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The football IQ on these boards can be surprisingly low sadly.
  18. OK...and when Jeff Saturday took over a terrible Colts team when he never coached at ANY LEVEL of football at all and was on ESPN Gameday the week before, THAT TEAM with THAT COACH won their first game...then didn't win again the rest of the year. Discounting how much of an advantage it is to have a completely clean slate to operate with where a team has no tendencies and no real game film to prepare for what you like to do in certain situations is pretty silly, IMO. It's obviously a huge advantage. And clearly the players wanted to try and get a win for their new coach especially after getting embarrassed the week before. In short, we got the best they could give with some extra prep time and it was close, but not quite good enough. Take the W and move on. Pretty sure the Pats fans didn't say they should give back the Super Bowl Trophy when they were gifted the Tuck Game
  19. I'm not surprised. There are huge advantages to having nothing to lose and no game film/tendencies their opponents can plan for.
  20. The Chargers averaged 4.1 yards per play and only got 273 yards of total offense. I wouldn't call that "moving the ball with ease" exactly.
  21. How important was the game for a terrible Colts team that had just fired Frank Reich and went off the beaten path to hire Jeff Saturday from ESPN's Gameday shows and who had never been a coach in the NFL and he promptly won his first game he coached...then didn't win another game the rest of the year. I'd put money that over the last 5 years teams that fire their coaches in season have a winning record in their first game with the new coach. It's a huge advantage to have a clean slate with the other team not knowing any tendencies or your gameplans on either side of the ball.
  22. Not to mention having no real idea what their gameplans would look like on either offense or defense or what the new coaches liked to do in certain key situations. That advantage cannot be overstated. Bills prepared based on what they could but a lot of that changed I am sure.
  23. He had a lane to get 30 yards and then run into 5 or 6 Bills players they conveniently made sure to only show the closer view and not the overhead view that would have shown them. Click bait post by a guy who showed a view that doesn't accurately describe what was going on there.
  24. I'm not sure they did. Chargers had a lot of advantages in this game from preparation and tendencies...Bills really were flying blind in terms of game planning.
  25. Oliver took over in the Chargers game down the stretch...
