  1. If the starting D stayed in Dallas wouldn't have even got that cheap TD at the end.
  2. Denver cannot catch us if we win out. We will be 11-6 and they would be 10-7 at best. Would be irrelevant because if we win out we are wining the AFC East.
  3. Dallas only TD drive was against mainly backups and even then everything was hard for them...as soon as they were catching the ball their receivers were getting absolutely drilled... Dak had nobody open, even the underneath stuff was covered well. McD with another masterclass performance.
  4. This should not be surprising...knee brace is now off, working off the rust and regaining some trust/strength in the ACL and ability to make those type of moves. This is how it works when players come back from ACL's...they take many weeks of playing to look anything close to what they used to.
  5. That was an absolute bludgeoning on both sides of the ball...the O Line just manhandled the Dallas D. The Bills ran the ball at will and the Bills D shut down literally everything...Dak had nobody open and even when he completed passes his receivers were getting drilled as soon as they caught it. They picked him off once and they probably should have had 3 or 4. I told you Rasul Douglas was going to be a perfect fit for this D and he absolutely has been. Dude has been just balling.
  6. Fins could very well lose this game...they were inept against the Titans without Hill on offense...the Jets are a huge step up in terms of D
  7. Bills 27 Cowboys 20 Cowboys are a different team on the road. A far less good one.
  8. At this time of the year there are no "gimme games". Remember the Jags losing to the terrible Colts?
  9. The jig is up, the news is out, they finally found me... The renegade who had it made, retrieved for a bounty... Nevermore to go astray... The judge will have it out today... On the wanted man... Except it's not. Even with a loss to the Cowboys, the Bills would have a roughly 75% chance to get in.
  10. The CBus! Lived there for 6 years...up off of Morse and Schrock Road near Westerville. Agreed...cold rain is far worse than snow.
  11. Hangman is coming down from the gallows and I don't have very long...
  12. A loss to only the Cowboys and they likely win the division with the Dolphins having to play the Cowboys and Ravens still and that would also mean a loss to us...Dolphins have faded hard in December every year, and have gotten smashed every time they played a good team this year, so to me it's almost a foregone conclusion they are losing both those games. If they are playing the Bills for the division in Week 18, who in their right mind would take Mami in that game based on their track record over, oh, say the last 2 decades.
  13. The rule is in place to discourage kickoffs as much as possible due to the high injury rate on them.
  14. Nope, he will likely be featured heavily on TV along the sidelines during the upcoming games. So you have not seen the last of him.
  15. It's very simple...they would simply combine 2 rules that are already in place and extend it to include anytime a ball is fumbled into and thru an endzone. I would argue this should ONLY be in play for balls that are fumbled out of bounds sideways, not THRU the back of the endzone because in that case the offensive team likely had a mad scramble to attempt to recover the ball and had at least a full 10 yards to get it back, so that should then be the defenses ball. Completely different for a player reaching towards the goalline and fumbling it barely through the side line of the endzone. 1) Apply the rule that the ball is dead where it was fumbled at if not recovered by the same player within the last 2 minutes of a half. 2) Apply the rule that if a fumble goes out of bounds it reverts to the team who last possessed it legally. These two rules now make it so the ball is dead where the fumble initiated and the team who last legally possessed it maintains control. Simple, easy and generally follows the rules that are already in place, not some of the crazy rules people are coming up with.
  16. That doesn't make any sense. There is no rule for a fumble where that would happen. However, there is a rule where the ball would be marked where the fumble initiated from already in place during certain points of the game, so that would be the most likely solution. It isn't that they get rewarded, it's that it reverts to the team who possessed it last. Same thing would happen on a fumble recovery or INT by the defense after they gain possession and they then fumble and it goes out of bounds. The team who had possession last retains it.
  17. Even without being ravaged by injuries, the Dolphins regularly and routinely have folded like a cheap tent over the past 20 years+ when December has come along. Last year they snuck into the playoffs by turning an 8-3 stat into a 9-8 finish. The year they came to Buffalo in the final week of the season in a "win and in" scenario with the Bills having already clinched the division and being locked into their seed and left with a 56-26 beatdown, which included Matt Barkley and the backups playing all 2nd half and showing no letup. This year, they haven't beaten a team with a winning record and start December by turning a game they had a 99.6% chance to win into an L. They also have games against the Ravens, Cowboys and Bills, which they should go 0-3 in. If the Bills beat the Cowboys, they likely win the division outright in Week 18.
  18. Gotta start drafting DBs. Luckily the Bills seemingly are able to get quality DBs regularly late in the draft and as UDFA's. Benford was a 6th round pick, Jackson is a 7th round pick, Wallace and Lewis were UDFA's. Also lucky the Bills scheme might be the most DB friendly in the entire NFL where it minimizes the weaknesses of any players who play in it. I think people are greatly underestimating how much the cap will rise over the next 3-4 years. Should be over $300 million by 2027 at the latest by virtue of all the new TV contracts kicking in. Bills have already likely taken this into account and will be fine.
  19. It's a super low percentage play to begin with, I think it would be hard to make something like that happen simply because there are so many bodies that player would have to try and get thru that could throw the timing of the play off.
  20. Gotta have a Fish Fry...that's a huge thing here...unlike most places that have it around Lent, we do it here every Friday all year and it's pretty much standard fare at any restaurant on a Friday. It would be harder to find a restaurant that doesn't offer it than one that does. Typically the portions are fall off the plate humongous. Sounds like a good plan for the game... You are lucky I guess...looks to be the only day with any potential snow in the long term 15-day forecast...temps have been very unseasonably mild here and only 3-4" of snow so far. Which after last year's historic fight with Mother Nature thru Christmas is very much appreciated. Thank you El Nino.
  21. Teams never learn...don't poke the hungry bear just waking up from its hibernation. Bills are thinking to themselves The night is always darkest just before dawn.
  22. Of course...anyone in any type of management role anywhere will have that happen. But the current players took that article personally and took it as an attack on them as well and they pretty much to a man voiced their strong support of McD when they didn't have to. They could have just gone the route of not saying much about it speak volumes of their actual thoughts. Instead they came out and strongly disagreed with the article. That doesn't happen unless they actually mean it...there was real emotion behind that. Their actions when McD got the game ball when they went bonkers in the locker room after the game tells you all you need to know...actions speak a lot louder than a reporters articles. And their play on the field, fighting for a coach they could have just as easily folded on if it was true also spoke volumes.
  23. I have a hard time believing that players who a coach has "no relationship with" would be extremely forceful in their support for him and give very very strong opinions of what they think of him, with almost all of it being positive. Almost no chance this would happen...if that was true their support would be tepid, in this case the players almost acted as if they took it as an attack on themselves as well and took it personal. That's not the sign of a coach that has no relationship with his players, that is the sign of a coach that has a great relationship with his players. Actions speak far louder than stories or words written down...and their actions spoke volumes. And them going Ape Sh** in the locker room when McD was given a game ball is pretty much all you need to know about what they thought about that article...oh yeah, their play on the field kinda summed it up also. They coulda folded on him and instead they fought for him.
