  1. There is a damn good chance this happens. But I was thinking how great it would be if all 4 of those guys were off the board when we pick because then there would be some really good OLB, DE, OL, WR, CB's available for us to pick
  2. If an obvious upgrade to Fitz is available, I am 100% on board. But if that "upgrade" is a anyone in the draft other than the top 2-3 guys, then no thanks. Let's build around Fitz and put all available resources into bringing the rest of the talent on this team up to his level before looking to replace him because even Brady would not be winning many more games with this team of crap.
  3. I agree, Would it be great to have an elite QB, sure. But there are only a few and it doesn't make sense to dump a pretty good QB in order to continue our fruitless search for an elite one.
  4. Trade the pick for a pass rusher (like the Raiders did with Richard Seynour. Or trade it for 2-3 later round picks. We suck at picking in the first round (Losman, McCargo, Whitner, Evans, Maybin, McKelvin Spiller, etc)
  5. and one more little thing: Outscore them by atleast 1 point (preferably lots more than that)
  6. Like Fitzpatrick at QB, Stevie is not an elite talent at his position. He is an above average receiver and I would like him to stay but am hoping they can come to an agreement on something that is not ridiculous. Otherwise, I'd let him walk. He is not a home run receiver. He is not a difference maker like Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin or Andre Johnson or even like the younger guys like AJ Green.
  7. you're missing the point. The Bills did not have the depth to overcome injuries to some of their best players. The Bills are not a playoff caliber team yet because of the lack of depth. Their startering roster proves that it can play with and beat some of the better teams in the league. But their lack of depth has caused the current slide. And if Wood is seriously injured and misses any games, we are completely screwed.
  8. I agree. I think the team played well and got some luck early in the season, but I don't think they were really ever a legit playoff contender. They just are not there yet talentwise. The injuries to the key players you listed has basically depleted the team of what little depth they had. Right now we have no playmakers on D and we have no depth on the OL. The line played surprisingly well early, but Chan/Buddy did not address the depth in the O-line. We all knew they were super thin on the line and now it is biting us in the butt. I hope to see competitive foorball the rest of the year. Finish 9-7 and you'd have to look at this as a great step forward for a team that had the 3rd pick in the draft last year and has not had a non-losing season in this century. They seems to me making progress, just not as fast as any of us would like them too. What they need to start doing is hitting on their 1st round picks because we have too many that have failed to become good/great NFL players (Whitner, Losman, McCargo, McKelvin, Maybin, Spiller). If we could have found 1 or 2 difference makers in those drafts we'd have a completely different situation.
  9. The Jets are classless A-holes. You win with class, you lose with class. Just because you are winning, does not give you the right to treat people like crap. What comes around, goes around.
  10. Norwood looked like he was still in game shape.
  11. They lost because I had to wear a new White Bills jersey to the Game instead of my blue "Dareus" jersey. Stupid Whiteout at the Ralph. LOL
  12. I have season tickets and I would not mind paying an additional $20 per game if we had a good team on the field (like we do now) and if we had assurances that the team was staying in B-lo. I would especailly not mind it if the ended the Toronto series.
  13. This game feels bigger than the Pats* game only because we beat the Pats* and now can go into this game thinking we can win and thinking about a playoff run. The more games we win, the bigger and more important each upcoming Sunday will feel. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bills defining moment will be when they get to hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Superbowl Sunday and then parade it through Buffalo.
  14. I just bought a white retro Thurman Thomas jersey I will be rocking for the game
  15. That's just pretty much how they are. I've had season tickets for 11years and this has been my experience with the majority of Jets fans I have encountered. I'm looking forward to this game, but I am not looking forward to dealing with these fans.
  16. THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!
  17. The interesting thing about this to me is the organized tailgate party. I think this is what the Bills are working towards with their new parking restrictions and traffic patterns. Within a few years, I expect tailgating to be eliminated in all lots except for Bills sponsored (and admission charged) tailgating sections around the stadium.
  18. Pat Moran is the Walter Cronkite of sports bloggers
  19. All the local sports guys in Buffalo are posting it on Twitter (Jeremy White, Jeff Russo, Pat Moran. Also say it from @MiamiDolphins, not sure if this is the official Dolphins Twitter acct
  20. An Peyton Manning's injury proves the opposite. They win the SB with Manning. They cannot win a game without him. A true Franchise QB is worth their weight in gold.
  21. I think what the guy is trying to say is this: Maybin was drafted to be a pass rusher. He failed miserably while he was here, but is having some success with our division rival. So, clearly he is capable of getting to the QB, but our coaches were not able to put him in a situation where he could do that here. Therefore our ooaches suck. To some degree I can understand the frustration. I think we could have done more to make use of his natural ability. But part of his success is most likely because he is on a team with more talented defensive players and a much more aggressive scheme.
  22. I think signing Fitz to an extension is very low risk. Fitz is what he is. He is a solid QB. He'd probably in the top 12-15 QBs. He's much better than anyone we've had since Kelly. He's not perfect but he is serviceable. Build a dominant O-line for him and we are good for 5-6 years.
  23. The thing that bothered my most about these reports (I saw it in the Jason LaConfora article) is that "the Bills are closed for business during the bye week so negotiations will continue next Monday). That seems ridiculous to me. The players can have the time off, the front office doesn't need it.
  24. If they told me the Bills would stay for another 20 yrs but they were doubling the price of my season ticket price, I would sign the contract immediately.
  25. I can't see how this is bad news. The Federal state and local governemnents are going to continue to squander our tax money. Why not see some of it go to improve the stadium and keep the Bills in WNY? Seems like a win-win for anybody who is a fan of the Bills.
