  1. I had bet a friend that we would not win more than 4 games, so when we got to 5-2 he was mocking me everyday saying we were going to the playoffs. Then the bottom fell out. The first 6-7 weeks were the most fun I've had as a Bills season ticket holder in a long time. Then the injuries killed us. Had we stayed relatively healthy, I think we would have been pushing hard for a playoff spot. So, I have mild hope for next year.
  2. 1.) I don't believe that the press box exception is the reason you are giving up your tix 2.) the reason for the press box exception is that anyone from the press box has press credentials and is therefore entitled to come and go from the stadium at will. They do not use a ticket to get it. The Bills don't allow ticket holders to leave and come back because one person could easily leave with more than one ticket and come back with other non-paying people. The Bills don't want to pay to babysit those who cannot control their smoking habit for 3 hours. 3.) I agree with the earlier poster who said smoking should be totally banned. It is a filthy, disgusting habit and directly causes serious illnesses and costs the government, the medical industry and the taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars. I say good riddance to you as a season ticket holder. I will enjoy the cleaner air in the stadium without all the smokers.
  3. I love Kellen Moore. I think he would be a great pickup for the Bills in Rd2 or 3. Lwt him learn behind Fitz for a year or two. At worst, I think he becomes a long term backup QB like Reich. At best, he develops into a very good NFL starter. I love his passion for the game. He talked about how he was buying College and NFL playbooks on Ebay when he was 9 so he could study the game. I truly believe he will be successful in the NFL.
  4. I hate that he might stay just because it reduces the talent pool for the top of the draft meaning that there is one less DE/LB/OT or WR that will drop to the Bills
  5. I think his post had some validity. Go back to Shanahan. Shanny listened to the Bills pitch and considered coming here but when it became clear that Ralph was bot going to give him the budget to improve the team and the control he desired, he walked away. I'm not saying he would have been the right choice. I am just saying that top guys like him would consider Buffalo if Ralph were to increase budget and give them the control to run the team with Ralph's intervention (or the intervention of the bean counters, for example the Lee Evans trade which Nix claims he had nothing to do with)
  6. I would rather never win another game, ever. I can't that fat POS or is brother.
  7. we already have a bunch of useless linebackers, we may as well try out a Mercilus one.
  8. and what if he won't accept that deal? Rumor had him asking for top 5 money and that would be a big mistake, IMHO.
  9. Our DBs are decent. The problem is that we have no pass rush to disrupt the passing game so the QBs have the time to sit back there and then make a perfect throw. DBs cannot cover a good WR for that long if the QB is completely untouched, they will get picked apart like they have all season. How many times has one of our DBs been right with the receiver but the QB drops the ball in perfectly? I remember atleast a half dozen highlight reel bombs against us where the DB is in position but just gets beat. We need pass rush desperately.
  10. This part is simply not true. The Bills make up the vast part of Ralph's net worth. They are worth close to a Billion and he is not listed as a Billionaire so the remainder of his fortune is clearly not that big.
  11. 1. The Bills are in the top 10 most profitable franchises in the NFL 2. The value of NFL franchises continues to rise year after year 3. If the new owner wants to move the team, he would need to pay the $900m relocation fee and get league approval. Both are extremely unlikely. Not to mention that the Bills are the only team actually playing in NY State and the state legislature as well as Chuck Schumer will make it extremely difficult for the NFL to move the Bills.
  12. My direct tv channel guide shows Jets-Eagles
  13. I think that the main reason the Bills will not draft a QB early is because the current FO and coaching staff will most likely not be in place in 2-3 years when the kid develops. Nix and Gailey's best shot at keeping their jobs beyond next year is to use all available (albeit limited) resources to support Fitz and pray they can make the playoffs next year and secure a contract extension to buy them a few more years in their positions. If the Bills go 5-11 next year, Gailey will be gone and most likely Nix too. They cannot risk using a high pick on a QB for the next coach/GM to develop.
  14. I like all of these guys. Priority 1 should be pass rush DE's and LB's
  15. Agreed 100%
  16. The brand new owner cannot come out and say that he plans to move the team. He will undoubtedly make a big marketing effort for a year or two to keep them in Jax. But if they keep having to bag over seats and still not sell out, they will not be in Jax in 5 years
  17. The only thing Ralph is waiting for in order to sell the team is his death. He has said so time and time again.
  18. If Stevie wants too much money, I'd be OK with Meacham to replace him
  19. That's fine. He is going to sign somewhere for big money and then flop like Bernard Berrian, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Alvin Harper, etc. He drops too many important passes and does not seem to be someone who you can just throw it up to like Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Fitzherald, etc. If we keep him, great. If not, oh well.
  20. I love the move. he has been a surprise. He is a good player and I am always in favor of keeping good players.
  21. stop with the carousel of coaches. The problem is the complete lack of talent on the roster. George Halas, Vince Lombardi and Chuck Noll combined could not make a winning team out of this crap roster. Unless Ralph lets them go out and add talent to the roster via UFA, nothing will change regardless of who is coaching.
  22. If we had Gronkowski he would be a bust, on IR and suspended for banging a porn star
  23. Matbe Chan should hire an OC so he can concentrate on being HC? Just a thought . . . Better yet, we hire a real HC and a real DC and let Chan focus on being the OC
  24. No doubt that Fitz has played like crap the last few weeks. Maybe he is dealing with an injury, maybe not but I think the main favtor causing his decline in play the O-line is in shambles without Wood. We hsave no WRs, Freddy was the offensive MVP and he's gone and we finally found a decent TE and he's gone. Add that to the terrible play calling and Fitz is being put in an unwinable position. I don't think he is great and I would love to draft a QB early in the draft this year who can lead the team to the playoffs (one who can throw downfield). But Fitz has shown that he is good enough to compete and win when surrounded with talent. We need to sign some NFL caliber Free agents this year and not depend on the draft. Every year, the draft 'experts" on this board list name after name of guys who are guarenteed to be superstars. 90% off them go on to do absolutely nothing. The draft is for finding 1-2 surprises or guys who will develop into quality players down the road. We have to add through FA.
  25. The Bills are trying to build a winning team, not win 1 or two more games this year. Letting Sheppard get experience is far more valuable than watching Morrison play out the season. Morrison won't be a Bill after this year, Sheppard will most likely be a starter. Chan even talk yesterday about the things Sheppard needs to improve on. I'm all for getting him in there and letting him play.
