  1. Seriously, you guys are worrying about cutting Ruvell Martin? Give me a break. He has a total of 3 friggin' tackles. TDs are better than ST tackles. Any schmuck can play ST. Give me a HOF WR over a ST tackler any day. Thanks
  2. we have quality depth at 1 position on the roster
  3. I'd have no problem bringing TO back. He's not a superstar anymore but I think he realizes that. He seemed to have a good rapport with Fitz. And I could proudly wear my T.O. throwback jersey again
  4. I agree 100%. I'm a bit disappointed with Dareus so far. I was expecting more of an impact like Suh. So far he's done little to imptesss. I'm wondering if he is either: 1) Overwhelmed with being as to do too much as a rookie or 2.) better suited for an DT spot instead of DE.
  5. Our DBs would be fine if we had a pass rush
  6. Win the home games (and the Game in Toronto) and all they need to do is win 1 road game to get to 10-6
  7. LOL. I meant that we'd finish 9-7.
  8. I am thinking we will be going into the Pats game at 9-6. They'll be 11-5 and that game will be our playoff. If we win, we take the division and get into the real playoffs. If we lose, the Pats* take the division and finish 9-7.
  9. This team is srill building. They have some good young players and some decent veteran leaders, but really no playmakers on D. I believe that they are probably not quite as good as their record shows and I will be surprised if they get to 10 wins. They have already exceeded my expectations. I playoff spot would be amazing given the fact that I was expecting 4-5 wins. I like the direction they are headed and I will enjoy this season. If we make the playoffs, great. If we finish above .500 I will be satisfied with a very good (and surprising) season. The only way I can end up disappointed is if they completely fall apart and finish under .500 I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Because they've had some early success/luck you are now demanding playoffs. The Bills are truly not a playoff caliber team yet and please stop with the Green Bay comparisons, it just makes you sound stupid.
  10. Any chance we could talk Schoebel out of retirement? The Niners and Cowboys used to do it every year with Charles Haley. I wonder if Schoebel has stayed in shape enough to be a situational pass rusher.
  11. and if Fitz connects on one of those passes to Stevie for a TD instead of an INT, we win and they both look like geniuses. You do realize that the other team was a good team and they were actually trying to win the game just like we were?
  12. If Fitz and Stevie hook up on either of those passes that ended as INT's, nobody would be complaining about playcalling. Like PTR said, If the play works its a great call. If it doesn't, it was terrible.
  13. I agree 100% with the OP. The Bills have definitely surpassed my expectations. Yes, there are lots of thing that they need to improve on. But, DAMN, its been a great start to the season. They are competitive in every game. They been the F'n PATS*. They are undefeated at home. They only lost 2 games and both could have been wins with 1 or 2 additional plays being made. I am excited for the rest of the season. I look at it this way: If we can win all of our remaining home games (toronto included), then we just need to find 1 road win to hit 10-6. That would be an awesome season to build on. The injuries seem to be piling up. Hopefully these guys can get healthy during the Bye week and come back strong for the rest of the year. It is fun thinking playoffs at this point in the season instead of thinking about the draft. THIS IS WHAT A FOOTBALL SEASON IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE.
  14. Fitz is not worth $10m Signing him to that type of long term deal would be upsetting. It seems we are interested in securing mediocrity. After 10 years of suckiness, I guess mediocrity is progress. But I'd rather be shooting for greatness. I'd like Fitz for a few more years at a reasonable salary so that he can assume a spot on the bench when we find a real QB. Fitz=Kitna Sign him to a backloaded deal so he can say he got $10m per year, but in reality it is a 3yr $21m deal. Otherwise let him walk.
  15. Maybe they want extra picks so they have ammo to move up for the top overall pick if they don't get it by losing.
  16. I park in Drive 5 on Southwestern. I haven't noticed too many problems getting in or out. The only thing is that it seems that the police are holding up car traffic much longer and allowing pedestrians to always have right of way. This causes things to move slower because more people are getting to their cars faster.
  17. I don't care who we match up against, it is just fun to have the Bills be in the conversation for playoffs at this point. My expectation is that we will go into the last week of the regular season needing to beat the Pats for a playoff spot. So that game will be our defacto playoff.
  18. I said the same thing to the guy next to me in the stands on Sunday. That was a joke that no penalties were called on that play
  19. I had read somewhere that he would transfer ownership of the Bruins to his son if he were to buy the Bills.
  20. NOt to be a jerk, but he pretty much sucked against Cincy
  21. Trent's favorite sport is Volleyball. He does not love football, so it is not a surprise that he turned down a chance that any real NFL prospect with any love of the game and desperation to play it would have killed to get. Trent is a joke of a QB.
  22. Whoever the next "owner" of the Bills is will actually be Part Owner/Majority partner, in my opinion. I think the new owner will buy 30% of the team and the rest will be spread amongst Ralph's heirs. So, the new owner would not need a Billion, only $250m or so. There are dozens guys with Buffalo connections that could be the guy. It could be a guy we've never heard of, like Pegula was for the Sabres.
  23. Excellent point. This is why people think he is so bad. He covers the opposing team's #1 WR. He has gotten beat a couple times each week. Each time it was on a ridiculous catch by the opposition. He also had a great pick against Brady and made a nice breakup to stop a TD on a guy who wasnt even his guy. I think if we had some better pass rush he would look better. I don't think he is great, but I think he is being scapegoated at this point.
  24. Sure as heck looked like a catch to me.
