  1. Of course he's not special. If he was special they would have paid him like he was. He's a top 10 QB but not in the tier of Brady, Rodgers and Brees. I don't think anybody is disputing that. That being said, he's much better than "slightly above average" that a poster above wants to paint him as. I don't know if he's worth the contract he's going to get but he's one of the best QBs in the league and you can defiantly win with him if the other pieces are in place. Granted, as mentioned in the article, a huge contract my prohibit having the cash to put the rest of the team around him.
  2. Or a young guy can enjoy one more year of one of the greatest times of his life and sacrifice a season of NFL football when he's 32-33 in doing so. As a bonus he also finishes his degree from one of the best universities in the country. For all we know the guy might be planning on playing only 4-5 years and investing that cash then moving on to a vocation that isn't going to kill him. That would seem like the wise move to me.
  3. Intentional grounding was a BS call that totally changed the end of the game. He was easily outside the tackle box and the ball went well beyond the LoS.
  4. Can’t say Inagree with you at all. It would be a huge mistake to consult any player on what to do about the QB situation. That’s not what the players are paid to do.
  5. Being in a vet QB, draft a QB, get better at LB, DT and WR and this team will be heading in the right direction.
  6. Mediocrtiy gets a win today. Unfortunately, we aren’t even mediocre on offense.
  7. The kind that allows 10 points on the road in the playoffs.
  8. Yeah, allowing those 10 points killed the Bills. They weren’t going to pitch a shutout. Teams will get theirs, this time is was cia the scramble. You allow 10 points you should win, period.
  9. It did have zero to do. However, the NFL is so inconsistent with how they review and call games. If they did the exact same thing every time it wouldn’t be an issue, but the way they do it now is very frusterating.
  10. When is the last two me th offense scored a TD in the 2nd half? 6 games ago? what did that stat say late in the game, Bills have scored 3 points in the 4th quarter of the last 6 (now 7) games? Bills D held Jax to 10 points and the 3 at the end of the half had a lot to do with the offenses decisions at the end of the half. Time for a new approach offensively. New QB, maybe new OC. New philosophy, lets try to have an actual modern NFL offense instead of one from the 40s.
  11. I hope he’s okay and not hurt too seriously. I also hope he never suits up for the Bills again.
  12. Unlucky? He threw the ball to a well covered player in the middle of the field. That’s a recipe for a tipped ball INT. That was all in Tyrod.
  13. The fact that it’s not 7-0 is all on Bills offensive coaching staff. Repeatedly choosing to be too aggressive and throw against the strength of the Jags D instead of just running the ball. So frustrating.
  14. The Jags have a much better pass D than run D. Not sure how people believe this lends itself to Tyrod needing to do more to win this game. Don't turn the ball over and stop the Jags running game. Do those things and the Bills have a shot. Have TT put the ball up 30+ times and the Bills lose.
  15. Bills simply need to stop the run. If they can effectively shut down the Jags' run game and make Bortles beat them they have a great shot at winning. If Bortles has a great game and they lose I can live with that. If they get dominated with 200 rushing yards against it will be painful to watch.
  16. I've actually seen more people predicting a Bills' victory than I have for any other road team this weekend. That's not to say a bunch of people are predicting it but it's the nature of the beast being on the road in the playoffs, not many people are going to pick you to win.
  17. Jax averages 4.3 ypc, tied for 7th in the league. KC leads the league with a 4.7 ypc average. The Bills held the Chiefs to a 2.9 YPC average (and 55 total yards.) The D is capable of stopping the run if the good version of the unit shows up (and that's a big IF.)
  18. So let me get this straight. People want newspapers to hire staff, fly to games, interview players, research stories, write copy, edit copy and host all their content on the web AND they want SDS to compile loads of content on the Bills into a single page so the user can conveniently browse through it all getting a snippet of each story to see if it interests them (and he has to host that content)... and they B word if it's not totally free? They whine if the guy hosting the site that compiles all that content even links to stories that they might have to pay pennies per article for? Do I have that right? I gladly pay the paltry sum the BN charges. So please, SDS, keep linking those articles.
  19. Yep, this.
  20. Sent my donation this morning. Easily be best football moment I've had in the past 2 decades, least I could do!
  21. Yeah, we didn't order tickets until a couple of hours later but still only paid $145 per ticket for a couple in the nosebleed 400s.
  22. Absolutely. As much as I'm on cloud 9 right now, I don't think this means anything moving forward. Making the playoffs means nothing next year... ...but it means I'm watching an f'in playoff game next week! GO BILLS!!!!
  23. Tyrod wins two playoff games and he's the Bills QB next year. Otherwise...I just don't see it. It was obvious with the Chargers game that McDermott wants to go in another direction.
  24. I don't think you got the memo. You have to say his entire name every time, "Baker Mayfield"
  25. My son and I did the same thing. It didn't mean nearly as much to him but we hugged and cried as well. To top it off, I showed him video of the last time the Bills were in the playoffs. He watch Home Run BullSh*t and cried out, "that was a forward pass!!!" I love my boy.
