  1. It might be the best chance for an upset, but it's not the most important game this weekend. That would go to the Colts/Ravens game on Saturday. If the Colts win that game, no matter what else happens, the Bills get in with a win vs. the Dolphins. Even if the Jets beat the Chargers other things would keep the Bills out of the post season unless the Bills win out. Sure, they might not be that likely (the Titans would have to beat the Jags) but the possibility is still here. In fact, if the Colts manage to beat the Ravens the Bills would get the 5th seed with a win vs. the Phins and a Jags win vs. the Titans.
  2. Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts are easily my favorite duo. Good to see them get a little recognition, even if some of the other parts of the list are dubious.
  3. I would love to see this happen. Titans win + Ravens loss would be ideal for the Bills, even if the Bills lost.
  4. Bills can actually get in with an 8-8 record IF: In Week 16: Colts beat Ravens Chiefs beat Dolphins Jets beat Chargers Eagles beat Raiders If that happens Bills get in if in week 17 one of the following happens: Bills beat Dolphins or Bengals beat Ravens Oddly enough if all that stuff happens in week 16 it doesn't even matter if the Bills beat the Pats, they'd need the same thing to happen in week 17 - win, or Ravens lose.
  5. Now that the Titans lost to the Niners, yeah.
  6. Chargers play Jets and Raiders. I suppose it’s possible they lose to the raiders but I’d prefer just having the Titans win one of the next two and not having to worry about the chargers.
  7. Inside the 10 yard line up three scores in the 4th there is no need to take chances. If they had better field position I’d agree with you.
  8. Does anone actually seem Benjamin making it through the game? I give him a half (at most) before agrivating the injury and sitting the rest of the game.
  9. It's odd, but the Bills would prefer the Titans lose 2 of the next 3, but not all 3. Granted, if the Chargers lose another one then it doesn't matter but if not the Bills need a 3 way tie to beat the Chargers in a tiebreaker.
  10. Yeah, and it's the 3rd time he's made that throw tonight. He was lucky the previous 2 times to not get the INT.
  11. Not necessarily true. If Chargers win then another Chiefs loss would do it for us as well. Could very well happen vs. the Dolphins next week or @ Denver in the last week. I keep going back and forth with what is better so I'm not pulling for anybody, just enjoying the game.
  12. Totally agree, I’ll sign up for getting the next Tom Brady. Lets do that. No idea why nobody thought of this before!
  13. Billsian isn’t winning the last 3 when they are in the playoff race, that never happens to them. Billsian is getting blown out in the next two games then putting it all together in their best performance of the season in the meaningless season finale. The win pushes them down the draft just enough so even with their extra draft picks they don’t have the ammo necessary to target a legit franchise QB prospect. The team that drafted in the spot that would have been where the Bills were drafts their QB of the future (one who the Bills didn’t have rated highly anyway) and he turns into a stud. The Bills draft a RB and CB with their two first rounders. Both turn out to be outstanding players but the Bills don’t want to pay them and they move in to greener pastures after their rookie contracts are up.
  14. Well, obviously. But in most scenarios it's better for the Bills playoff chances if the Chiefs win. In an ideal world, yeah, the Chiefs would lose 2 of their last three, the Chargers would win the west, the Bills would win at least 9, get a wild card and the relatively high 1st round pick from the Chiefs. Personally, I think it's all moot anyway, I don't think the Bills finish 9-7.
  15. So I assume all the people who think it's an open and shut case that we want/need the Chargers to win think that the Titans are going to drop all their remaining games? Or that the Ravens will lose one of their last three vs. three of the worst teams in the NFL? Because that's what it will take for the Bills to win a tie breaker vs. the Chiefs. Only if the Bills are tied with only the Chiefs does the head to head tie breaker come into effect. If the Bills are tied with the Chiefs and any other team(s) the Chiefs get the nod into the playoffs. It's - obviously - impossible to know how everything will shake out but IMO it's much more likely the Ravens win out and the Titans win one of their remaining games.
  16. In terms of the Bills playoffs, yeah, a Chiefs victory is probably the best thing for the Bills. Given that there is likely to be a log jam at 9-7 the Bills head to head win vs. the Chiefs won't come into play. It only matters if they end up the only two teams tied for a WC spot (it would also come into play if ALL the tied teams have played each other but that won't be the case.) The Chiefs win any tiebreaker in which more than two teams are tied because of their vastly superior strength of victory (due to their wins vs. the Pats and Eagles.) The same thing, but opposite, applies to the Chargers. Sure, if the Bills end up tied with the Chargers and nobody else, the head to head comes into play. But if it's more than just those two it looks like the Bills would likely win the tiebreaker due to either better conference record or strength of victory.
  17. That fumble was all on Tolbert. He had just run over someone and his momentum was stopped. He had to know defenders were right behind him. The fact that he had the ball in one arm swinging it as he ran instead of putting it to his gut with two arms is all on him. That is a fumble that he has to take full responsibility for.
  18. The thing that will threaten the league will be when they can diagnose CTE before the player is dead. Once they can do that players will have to confront hard facts about whether it's worth the risk to their lives as opposed to now where they can ignore it because they just don't know for sure. I believe it's estimated that the technology will be available within the next decade.
  19. A team that just lost to a team with a losing record moved up a spot to #1. Yeah, that's not a flawed system or anything...
  20. So we are in the midst of the 2nd Golden Era?
  21. Have you seen that Steeler D? It isn't very good. They made Flacco look like Aaron Rogers. The Pats could easily put up 40+.
  22. I swear the only ones who thought that was something special are the people who didn't sit through it in real time on TV. Watching some highlights of the game and calling it "special" isn't the same as watching the teams run it 3 straight times and punt over and over again (or 4 straight times and turn it over on downs.) It was a brutal game to watch with three drives that had anything resembling excitement. Watch those 3 drives and you could get excited about how amazing that game was, watch all the others and you'd wake up, wipe the drool from your mouth and wonder if you missed anything.
  23. Jay Cutler has proven one thing over the course of his career - he is inconsistent. The guy has all the talent in the world but has never been able to put it all together consistently. The fact that he looked fantastic last night shouldn't worry the Bills. It's not like the lightbulb went off and he's suddenly going to bring it each and every game.
  24. Haha, the casual way he dismissed the Bills was hilarious. "Miami is a team that could play spoiler down the stretch. They have Buffalo, Kansas City, and Buffalo, so Kansas City might want to keep their ears perked up."
  25. Based on that article it appears that Bills most likely way to get into the playoffs is to end up tied with the Chargers and Titans at 9-7 which means that the Bills probably want the Chiefs to win this weekend despite it killing the draft pick we get from them. It seems unlikely that the Bills would end up tied at 9-7 with only the Chiefs which is what they'd need in order to win the tiebreaker with the Chiefs. Any 3 way tie that includes the Chiefs and the Chiefs make the playoffs.
