  1. Mark Ingram’s 14 yard gain on 3rd and 13 during the 10 minute drive to open the 3rd quarter of Super Bowl 25. Ingram broke about 5 tackles on the play. Other than the missed FG (which definately wasn't clutch) that is the single most important play that kept the Bills from winning a SB. It was cas clutch as it gets for Ingram. Granted, Im assuming the OP meant clutch FOR the Bills, but that was the single most clutch play in Bills history.
  2. Someone who works out (and works the upper back in particular) should be able to do 10-15 no problem. But for people who have a few extra pounds and haven't been working out, pull ups are really friggin' hard.
  3. Seems like you’re the one spinning, not the big bad media. He was inconsistent and they said as much. Whats the issue?
  4. Wade never made the playoffs with the Bills during the drought...
  5. Technically, Wade Phillips should be included on this list. His last season as HC was the first season of "the drought." So he kicked things off.
  6. That is only true if the guy who returns is being given a legit chance to compete for the starting spot. Otherwise this simply does not happen. The Bills have sh*t options at QB to start the season, as such I dont think its far fetched to think Peterman may win the job. Do I think it will happen? Proabaly not, but I’m not one to confuse what I think will happen with what will happen. Stranger things have happened than Peterman beating out a raw rook and AJ McCarron. If I had to guess Id say he Bills carry three QBs into the season. Teams that only carry two usually have a solid starter. The Bills have three young guys, I think theyll keep all of them unless someone better becomes available via free agency.
  7. His area of expertise is football. He's a head football coach and knows a hell of a lot more about QBs than anybody on this board.
  8. I think it's interesting that most here don't want to believe that Peterman could end up being the opening day starter. Nobody on this roster, right now, is better than Tyrod (and no, I didn't want TT to stay on as the starter.) Yet, McDermott thought enough of Peterman to bench TT in the middle of the playoff hunt. That tells you what the HC thinks of Peterman. Just because the fanbase has lost faith in Peterman after one start doesn't mean the coach has - and he obviously hasn't. If it was as clear cut as everybody on the board wants to believe McDermott wouldn't be giving Peterman a chance, he'd be giving all the 1st team reps to AJ.
  9. The guy needs football if for no other reason it's legal to take out his anger issues physically on other human beings. Once put into society there aren't many places that's allowed.
  10. Allen's biggest issue - his footwork - would be helped by not playing immediately. He needs thousands and thousands of reps to fix his footwork so it's muscle memory and not something he has to think about. It's been shown time and time again that when a player gets thrown into action too soon he just reverts back to his sloppy mechanics because instinct takes over. The sooner Josh Allen plays the less likely he ever fixes his footwork. I'm interested in Allen being the long term solution for the Bills and not someone they just throw out there hoping he's better than the other crap they have at QB this year. If that means sitting for a year then so be it. Personally, I want a QB who is better than Cam Newton and without fixing his footwork I see that as Allen's ceiling right now.
  11. Yeah, I don't see how releasing him helps the Bills in any way. It can only hurt them if he decides to shore up the line of an AFC East team or someone they play this season.
  12. You give him too much credit. Where are all the negative runs?
  13. I could see the team putting up worse rushing numbers and similar passing numbers. Add to it a likely increase in turnovers and the O could be absolutely putrid. The only thing it did eell last yesr was avoid turnovers. Take that away and you’re looking at a bottom of the league type offense. The D will be better but Im not sure they'll put up a better ppg against given the likelyhood that they’ll ne defending more short fields due to more turnovers on offense.
  14. This is a great take on the matter. As for the bolded, I would say that the issue isn't with him leading men in the locker room, but instead being a leader of a team that represents a region. As such, he has to deal with the media every day and is a public face of the franchise. Most companies don't want a accused sexual assaulter as their public mouthpiece. It's why famous people in general get pulled from projects when this stuff happens. You want a guy going out there and talking about whatever product you have and if all they get asked about is a crime then that becomes associated with your company and product. It's not necessarily fair, but it's life in the spotlight. On a separate but related topic, I think people today have this idea that because someone voices an opinion on twitter, facebook, etc. that they really feel strongly about an issue. We have this assumption that there is "societal outrage!!!" at an issue when IMO, more often than not, it's a ton of people who have an opinion but don't really give that much of a F. But get enough of these opinions online and it seems like there's a raging mob.
  15. Yeah, no kidding. 3 seasons of starting is suddenly "not given a chance."
  16. Those numbers aren’t “marginally better.” They are much, much, better.
  17. Absolutely, I’d much rather the Bills sign Maclin than Dez.
  18. Nonetheless, he’s right. Him and Sully might spew stupid garbage, but at least they attach their names to that garbage.
  19. I don’t think you understand a modern radio host’s job. It’s not to have sensible takes on subjects. It’s to create controversy and buzz. The fact that you started a thread on a subject they are discussing means they’ve accomplished their mission.
  20. They made a mistake by not correctimg their original mistake.
  21. I’m going to blame Beane for my hangover tomorrow. I switched from beer to whiskey after the Allen pick.
  22. After Allen’s first NFL start? He might be ready by then.
  23. Yeah, other than injuries the only concern I have is his propensity to be too agressive, sometimes forcing balls when he shouldn't. That said, he got noticibly better at this last season. Rosen is the best QB, right now, in this draft. If he avoids Bradford like injuries he’ll be a fantastic long term answer at the QB position for whoever drafts him.
  24. In a way it makes sense, but if you think the Bills might be one of the worst teams in football this year - and it's a distinct possibility - then that #1 next year could be a top 10 pick. I'm all for giving up this year's 22 and keeping next year's 1. This is especially true if what we're hearing about there not being a large differential in the quality of players from the end of the 1st round to the 3rd round is accurate.
  25. Yeah, I don't think he has the Bills paying enough in this scenario and I certainly don't think they'd get a 4th rounder in addition to the #4 pick.
