  1. I wasn't happy with what I saw from AJ but I don't know how this team goes into the season with 2 QBs behind this OL.
  2. It is public that the QBs have been splitting reps. That's the main issue in not naming a starter. The starter needs all the reps he can get to get ready, particularly with the inexperienced QBs the Bills have on the roster.
  3. I cant remember a team ever waiting so long to name a starter. What could possibly happen between now amd the regular season that you havent seen up until now? The Bills arent getting any kind of advantage over the Ravens by not naming a stater yet. It should have been done weeks ago and the starter should have getting sole reps with the 1st team. Just name the starter and move forward. This indicisivness is a bit worrying from a head coach.
  4. Go take a look at the placement of the pass today and explain how that was proper placement. I’ll wait.
  5. Are you going to acknowledge the body of my post where I address the real issue?
  6. Incorrect. If he couldn’t make the throw he wouldn’t be on a team and/or wouldn’t be asked to make the throw. The problem he has is the placement of the ball. Take the one he threw today, it was nowhere near the proper placement. It wasn’t at the sideline. He needs to place it so the WRs body blocks the direct route to the ball of the DB. Do that and it can’t be interrupted and it’s very tough to break up. Granted, his arm makes the room for error on that throw exceedingly narrow but he does have the arm to make it.
  7. I dunno, that banana peel might be more effective than any of our guys...
  8. He does, it’s just needs to be on time and placed right. He has less room for error that’s not the same as he can’t make the throw. He does struggle with the throw, that’s obvious though. I wince when I see him make it.
  9. If Peterman isn’t the starter McDermott did his team a disservice by wasting their time giving Peterman 1st team reps at all. If he had no shot at starting they shouldn’t have wasted all those reps on him.
  10. Peterman controls the offense in a way Allen, doesn’t. He gets in and out of the huddle and has plenty of time to set protections. That does make a difference. People want to make it sound like Peterman doesn’t have an experience advantage over Allen but being there for two camps and an entire season helps him a lot.
  11. Didn’t Peterman already get a start vs another team’s 1s? Hes looked pretty consistent no matter what unit he’s out there with. People are letting their desire to see Allen start get in the way of what is plain as Day: Peterman has looked like the best QBs in the pre season. I want Allen to be the guy too, but he ain’t there yet.
  12. When Peterman played well with the 1s in the first pre season game people tried to claim the other QBs were at a disadvantage because they had to play with less talented players. How the narrative shifts every week to try and discredit Peterman. I want Allen to start as much as anybody but only if he earns it. Peterman has played better. I have no doubt Allen will be the better player eventually but he hasn’t shown he’s the better player this pre season.
  13. He also has command at the LoS that Allen doesn’t right now. Peterman helps the OL recognize the D and sets the protection. It makes a difference.
  14. Peterman is the only QB who has looked good playing with the 1st team... ?
  15. No way of knowing from the TV feed but his internal clock needs to be telling him to get rid of the ball. That being said he’s a raw rook and I don’t expect him to be processing things quickly right now.
  16. From all accounts the D hasn’t been dominating the O in camp. That tells you something about how bad the D is going to look come the regular season.
  17. Without seeing the all 22 it’s impossible to tell if he has anybody open In the flats or short middle.
  18. It’s the dumbest thread in history yet McDermott hasn’t counted Peterman out of the competition and from the looks of things Peterman is one bad outing from Allen this week of getting that week 1 start. Allen performs well this week and he likely starts. He sh*ts the bed and, like it or not, it’s probably Peterman. Not sure why so many Bills fans enjoy ripping one of their own players. It’s kinda crazy how fans sh*t on the guy no matter what he does. I hope Allen wins the job too but damn, all the hate for Peterman on this board is just nuts.
  19. Absolutely. I love to see guys get back up when they’ve fallen. Everybody falls, that’s not a reason to give up on someone. How they react to the setback tells you a lot about who they are. Sounds like Zay is doing what needs to be done, let’s hope he continues.
  20. His strong arm doesn't mean he'll be a good QB but it also doesn't disqualify him from being a good QB just because other strong armed QBs failed. That's just as ridiculous as people praising his pre-season performance because they were mesmerized by his arm talent. His decision making, accuracy and leadership will ultimately be what determines if he succeeds or not. The arm is just icing.
  21. If someone that consistently mistreated me in the past tried to shake hands for the cameras I wouldn't be having it either. Them again, KB might just be being a big baby. Tough to know what’s transpired between them in the past...if anything. Both ended up looking like douchebags though.
  22. I love this idea being thrown out there today that playing with the ones is somehow easier. In years past I’ve seen posters dismiss a backups good pre-season game because the 2nd and 3rd Ds they were playing against were going to be “bagging groceries in a few weeks.” Suddenly, when a guy they don’t want to win the starting spot plays well vs. the other teams 1s this new line of thinking comes out. It’s hilarious.
  23. He should get playing time when 1) He has out played the other QBs on the roster or 2) when the other QBs on the roster have played themselves out of that roll. Neither has come close to happening yet. Frankly, I don’t care if it ever does. I just want one of the three Bills signal callers to mature into something special and I don’t give a rats’ ass which one it is. I’m of the opinion that Allen’s physical gifts give him only a slight edge over the other two. I’m also of the opinion that I don’t care where he was drafted, the best players see the field, period.
  24. Neither are Warren Moon or Troy Aikman. Steve Young was better than both.
