The ball bounced off the defenser’s back. It was not an easy play to make. It could have been made but I’m not killing a guy for not making it. The throw, however, could have been better.

The difference in poster’s perception of the games is that one guy is a Bill and the other guy is a Jet. If Allen did the things Darnold was doing Bills fans would be singing his praises like he’s the 2nd coming. But because of our allegiances we downplay Darnolds play and make Allen sound better than he’s looked.

Every time I see Sam Darnold I can’t help but think of the cliche bully is an 80s movie.

Ugh, Jets D and O both look significantly better than the Bills.

Most play by play guys annoy the crap out of me with their stupidity or what appears to be them not really paying attention to the game. The woman doing the play by play tonight has yet to annoy me in such a way. I’ll take a voice I don’t like any day over idiocy. I had to put the Bills game on mute yesterday.

They do a couple of things. They help prevent a player’s foot from being stuck on the turf (this helps prevent knee injuries which happened all the time on Astro turf) and they soften the field when players land on it.

I don’t like her voice but the content isn’t bad. She sees things better and doesn’t get confused/things wrong nearly as often as most play by play guys.

Everyone keeps bagging on star. He wasn’t brought in to rush the passer he was brought in to stop the run and that’s the only the the team did well yeaterday. The D actually looked mich improved vs the run even with Lamar Jackson’s insertion into the game throwing things a little out of wack they allowed only 3.4ypr

Of course Peterman has been bad, who said otherwise? Both the OL and QB can be bad, they’re not mutually exclusive.

He has had time in a few drop backs but they have been horrible. So many penalties, which kill drives, and no room to run. Not sure how you can claim they haven’t been bad.

Can we go ahead and admit that the national Sports pundits know the Bills better than Bills fans? They aren’t blinded by their fandom.

I’m always excited about the start of the NFL season whether the Bills are expected to be horrible or not.

Yeah, I don't get it either. The D, despite the numbers, carried the team to the playoffs last year. How are they the worst D in the league now?

I like Allen but that is just a ridiculous statement. So now we're making excuses as to why a guy isn't starting by blaming other players? Allen didn't win the job, period. He has things to work on in his game and those short comings are why he's not starting. Hopefully he progresses quickly and he turns into the QB we all hope he can be but he's not there yet.

Yep, I have confidence in either of these guys spelling Shady unlike that **** show that was backup RB last year.

If Peterman actually plays well this season you don’t trade him. He’s insurance in case the #7 pick doesn’t develop like you hope. It would be just like the Bills to trade away a QB who plays well with just the hope that someone else might be better. All the Bills should be hoping for is that one of these two young QBs turns into a legit franchise guy. Odds are it’s Allen but the odds have been wrong before...

In the first series the Bills should pump fake the throw and have a WR do a double move up the sideline. Even if it’s not complete it will help keep the DBs honest.

If this team wins more than 5 games it’s because one of the QBs played much better than anticipated and Edmunds shores up the run D. Otherwise I just don’t see it.
