While I don't think the Bills make the playoffs people's perceptions will change if the Bills beat the Chargers and the Ravens lose to the Pack. That happens and suddenly the Bills chances look much, much better.

Raiders have virtually no chance. They play NE, @KC, DAL and @ PHI in the remaining 7 games. They already have 5 losses. Not sure how they even get to 8-8 with that schedule. The Ravens, on the other hand, I can see getting the final spot with an 8-8 record. Unless the Bills can actually get to 9 wins (unlikely) they'll lose a tiebreaker to the Ravens based on conference record. That's if the Bills even get to 8 wins, which I'm not sure they do. 7-9 seems like a good bet at this point.

Does he he give us the best chance of winning though? The conservative, lets just not turn the ball over, offense only helps win if the D is fairly dominant. With a D that can’t stop anybody you need a QB who can throw with anticipation to tight spots and keep the chains moving. Checking down repeatedly because nobody is college wife open just doesn’t get the job done. I’ll take a turnover or two more with an offense that can actually move the ball on a consistent basis. lets not forget that Benjamin is going to be a complete waste of a talented player because TT refuses to throw it up and trust his guy. Just check out what Brees didnwith Thomas today, that’s what the Bills should be doing with KB.

A few things. They haven't played most of their games vs. sub .500 teams. 5 teams have a .500 or better record and 4 are sub. And several of those teams are .500 or just under .500 because they lost to the Eagles. If the Eagles were winless they would have only played two teams that were sub .500 The team that has really benefited from an easy schedule is the Rams. 3 of their 6 wins have come against teams that have combined for 1 win (SF, IND and NYG.) Add in a game vs a Cardinals team post Palmer and Johnson injuries and that's basically 4 free wins. I'll give it to them that their Dallas and Jax wins are the road are both quality wins but overall I'm not sure they're as good as advertised. With games vs. Min, NO, SEA and PHIL in the next 6 weeks we'll find out how real they are.

Where do you see them getting the necessary victories to get to 9-10 wins? Their Schedule is brutal. @CAR, @NE, @KC, @BUF and then hosting NE and BUF . The only games I see as relatively easy are hosting TB and maybe the DEN game, but that D is dominant.

9 wins will get it done this year. If the Bills can beat Miami x2 and Indy they likely need just one more win to get in. If that win is the Chargers all the better as it would eliminate pretty much all competition from the AFC west as the Bills would have tiebreakers over all of them. Punching those wins into the NYT playoff machine gives the Bills an 88% chance at the playoffs at 9-7.

Weve heard that same thing every 2-3 years for the past 17. I dont give a flying F if its unfair to a staff if they havent had enough time. In this NFL climate it doesnt take 4 years to build a winner. Teams turn it around quickly all the time - just not the Bills or the Browns.

Except for the Raider game this team played close games when winning the turnover battle by 2-3. Thats a recipe for losing games - and losing them badly - when you dont win the turnover battle.
