  1. I hate it when people cast a trade like this in terms of "giving up two 4th round picks." Yes, they no longer have two picks in the 4th, but they got an additional pick in the 3rd. So they gave up ONE 4th round pick in order to move up the other 4th round pick to a third rounder. They lost ONE net pick, and turned the other 4th into a 3rd. By no accounting did they lose TWO picks.
  2. The proof is in the playing. The Bills have had one playoff season since 2000, and exited in the first round after scoring 3 points. There is no reason for them to be put in showcased time slots. That's a simple fact. You and I know (or believe) that they are better than the national NFL audience thinks. That and $4.50 will get you a bad cup of coffee at Starbucks. I am fully looking forward to enjoying the consternation by national media when the Bills exceed expectations this season, as I expect they will. I bet you will enjoy it, too. It's always fun when people who don't give you respect are forced to do so by your proving them wrong. Peace.
  3. Who cares? It will be that much more fun if the Bills rip through their schedule and win a lot of games.
  4. Barring an injury to Brady or a complete collapse of the Patriots around him, the Bills cannot be a favorite going into either game against the Pats this year. There's just too much history of failure against them for anyone to expect the Bills to beat the Pats. For instance, in their first meeting in 2019, even if the Bills come into the game 3-0 and the Pats are, say, 1-2, the Bills will not be favored.
  5. So just be confident in your possession of the simple Truth. We'll see if it plays out any differently this season.
  6. It's useless to argue with Nihilarian. His mind is made up.
  7. And he had an 8th td reception that he fumbled at the goal line and Croom recovered for the TD. Not that fumbling at the goal line is to his credit.
  8. Ray didn't hold the knife.
  9. The Murderer
  10. Great player. Thug.
  11. JMJ Pray For Us. Why don't they sign Gayle Sayers while they are at it, or Jim Brown. What is the deal with Beane's attraction to aged running backs?
  12. The responses here once again demonstrate how many sports fans are a**holes.
  13. Yeah, that Pats defense against the Eagles last year was stifling.
  14. Terrible, boring game. I used to be uptight about the Pats winning all these Super Bowls. It surprises me how little I care that the Patriots won. They looked lame doing it, not special, not historic, not scary, not imposing or intimidating. The Rams were pathetic. Whoop-de-doo. Who cares?
  15. Final score, 31-10 Pats
  16. Yet another dang Panthers hire.
  17. I used to get seriously depressed, but that was silly. Life is too short. I still hate to see them lose, but my life is full of other things that are good and I can't see spoiling them because a game over which I have absolutely no control.
  18. I rooted for them in that first SB against the Rams. What a mistake. Cheats.
  19. The Bills are causing plenty of turnovers. The fact that last season they did not turn any into TDs is an anomaly, not some result of an ineffective pass rush. I'd like to see them do better in that department, and I'm happy with them drafting a pass rusher or two, given Hughes isn't getting any younger and Lorax is 35, but the lack of scoring from the defense--when the Bills got 40 turnovers from their opponents—is not because their pass rush was bad. Plus, they themselves turned over the ball too much, but I expect that to get better. Eleven of the 23 pass interceptions the Bills threw were by Peterman and Anderson.
  20. The weird thing is that the Bills were second in the league in forced fumbles with 24 and tied for seventh in interceptions with 16. It's actually pretty remarkable that they never scored on any of these plays. You'd almost have to TRY not to score in order to go 0 for 40. That's why i say it's a statistical anomaly. By the way, stats say the Bills recovered one fumble for a TD, but that was by Jason Croom when Zay Jones fumbled at the goal line on an offensive play. Not a defensive recovery for TD.
  21. One of those plays can turn a game. The difference between 2 and 0 is not insignificant.
