Well...I'd say that giving up 37 points was the reason for the loss. Maybe Fred's fumble at the goal line. Could have been that TJ ran the wrong route. Maybe if we stop NE and force more than 1 or 2 punts. But you are right. This game is all on Fitz. Clearly he didn't play well enough. That much was obvious.

Time for Chan to hit the road?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stay the course...thats what they say in Houston...How many time were people calling for Kubiak's head? With a little time and some quality drafts, they've built themselves a pretty good football team. The Steelers never fire coaches and they've done ok. Unfortunately nothing is an overnight fix. We can't relate a winning team to instant gratification that we're all so used to in today's cyber world. -
Status Report from Downtown Boston
The Cincinnati Kid replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Funny. Thanks for the laugh. Good work as well! -
I used to not like the idea of drafting the BPA, but I've changed my tune after seeing teams like New England, Green Bay and Houston continue to choose the BPA. You can never have enough Pro Bowl Caliber players. They (hopefully) make everyone around them better. Right now, I think our biggest weakness is up the middle on Defense. To me, if we can stop the run, we are a better team. Sheppard is not pulling his weight. If we have a chance at Teo, I think we have to take him. He is a Ray Lewis type. The guy has willed ND's defense into a really solid unit. JMO.

The Bills win tomorrow if these 3 criteria are met
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with your assessment. I really want to see the Bills run the ball more. I know Chan believes in "passing to set up the run" but I think it is time to use the pass to complement the run. Especially in the West Coast/Spread hybrid that we are running. I am all for spreading out the D and forcing them into a NIckel package, but to throw into the defense's strength with the extra DBs is not effective. -
I want the LB and then get a first or second round guy next year. I hate the square peg into a round hole. If the best player is a LB take the LB. If the best player is a QB take the QB. I'm with you, the QB's don't look like RGIII or Luck.

Reading between the lines: George Wilson
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would agree. I love George Wilson, but IMO he has looked a little bit slow this season (that said, he'd kick my tail in a foot race...). I like Searcy and think that he and Byrd will be a good tandem back there for us in the not too distant future. I don't see George leaving Buffalo, but he might become Bryan Scott's replacement in a season or so. -

In a related topic, although not totally related, does anyone know what the music is that starts each "a football life" episode? -
Fitz Supporters Anonymous - First Meeting
The Cincinnati Kid replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I firmly believe the saying that goes something like this: "Don't tell me who you want yo cut, tell me who you are going to bring in that is better." I will support Fitz until there is a better option. Currently there is not, so Fitz gets my 100% support. I was the same with Losman and Edwards before him. I will always support the players on the Bills because they are my team. -
I just think the term "retarded" used in this type of context is ignorant. You really can't think up a less offensive word? Maybe its stupid to get upset about it because it's a word, but even a small vocabulary can come up with a synonym.

Another example of why dogs are awesome
The Cincinnati Kid replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Thats my problem right now too. I am 26, single and just started a new job in a new city and I just don't like it'd be right to take one home right now. Hopefully once I get a little more settled in my job I can be around more for the pooch. Also, I was thinking about this they other day, the dogs are rescued from pounds and fostered by families. Many of the dogs are a year old + so many are house broken and crate trained. I see that as an advantage because he or she wouldn't be messing up my carpets! Dude, God Bless you for trying! I would do exactly the same. Keep up the good work and stay strong. Remember, its not all humans, just the scumbags. -
Has Voyager left the Solar System

I find this really fascinating too. Does anyone know when the Voyager was initially launched? -

Every Saturday a Rescue Dog Organization has an adoption event at the local Petsmart. I go every Saturday to say hi to the dogs. Someday, I'll take one home with me, but the time isn't right just yet. Soon tho. -
Thats nuts. People are crazy. Just insane.

Here's some optimism for you:
The Cincinnati Kid replied to ThurmasThoman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with the general idea of this post. I'll never give up on the Bills. They are my team. I've loved them since I was 4 years old and Bruce only got a safety, not a sack with a forced fumble in the endzone. I do not follow blindly, I feel like I am in tune with the team's real talent. I don't give up hope though, because the games are decided on the field. They have to play in order to have a record. I'll watch every game, with the same hope that they can win. Usually there is an "if" snuggled in there, but I'll always watch. They're my team. -
Bills are 2-2 ..... now what?
The Cincinnati Kid replied to FanofFredJackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We go to the west coast. -
This move makes me mad. Regardless of the reasons, he has been one of the Best Bills throughout this pitiful decade. I get it, but I'm not happy about it.

Guess Who Is 27th In The NFL In Passing Yards...
The Cincinnati Kid replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haters gonna hate. This board has gone down hill. Used to enjoy coming here and reading for a few, but now it sucks. Its a habit I am trying to break. Really, really don't get how so many "fans" of the Bills can hate this team so much. -
