My comment was mostly about what he "deserves". Having gone through a much less public issue of my own, I argued that I "deserved" all these things I had lost due to my own struggles. Honestly that line of thought hindered my ability to get better and become the person I should be. I didn't deserve to just walk back to my life and have everyone ignore what happened. Because it had happened. I had to earn everything back and rightfully so. If Johnny earns the opportunity to resume his playing career, then of course I am all for the comeback story and hope he succeeds. But "deserves" this opportunity? I can't say that.

No scorn, but he deserves nothing. He was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft and he flushed that opportunity down the drain. That game should have no bearing on anyones evaluation of anyone. Players could barely stand or see. The fact any pass was completed all day is incredible. His performance in perfect conditions sucked.
