Fan dies in stands after fight at Patriots game
Albany,n.y. replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
A better solution is never start a physical confrontation because you have no idea who he has as reinforcements. If some guy came over & grabbed me I'd hope someone with a better angle would come & knock the guy out. There's no such thing as mano y mano when the guy comes over & physically attacks another person no matter what the other guy said. -
Fan dies in stands after fight at Patriots game

Back in the late 1980s in the old stadium I had Patriot fans throwing beer cans at me. I yelled to security who could see what was going on & they ignored me. Now I guess it's what I yelled to security**, but they had no right to do nothing. I had to move away from the friends I went with to an all Bills fans section. **Full disclosure: I yelled "Security, they're throwing beer cans at me. If one of them hits me I'll sue your f'n stadium" -

The guy who died started the physical confrontation. Looks like what you're calling a sucker punch was an attempt to stop someone who was harming another person. The lawyers will sort it out, but I bet the guy who threw the punch will say he feared for the life of the person Mooney was assaulting. Video Kilmartin recorded shows Dale Mooney as he approaches a group of fans on the 300-level of the stadium. "He basically grabbed another fan," Kilmartin said. "They started tussling around for a few minutes. At one point, another fan walked over. He punched him ... and the man just went out. It was pretty hard to watch." -
TBD Survivor League Discussion thread...

I'm in a pool with 379 entries. We've already lost 147 after 2 weeks. I have 2 entries. Week 1 I picked Jacksonville & Baltimore. Week 2 Bills & Dallas. This week I'm on SF & KC but it looks like a lot of games that look 1 sided, so I don't think we'll lose many entries this week. -
OT: will that FG block by the Pats fundamentally change kicks?

He's 71. He's never going to coach another team. -
I put the vomit emogi up because I almost did when I watched it.

You can tell who bet the Browns by the demands for PI
-
No PI when it's that far out of bounds. Go look up what an uncatchable ball is and get back to us.
-
Uncatchable, far out of bounds. If he catches it it's incomplete.
-
Watson throws it out of bounds and Watson wants PI.

The commercial isn't How I Met Your Mother.

I expect Jason Whitlock to say Burrow isn't working hard enough and Ja'Marr Chase is tired of his laziness and that Burrow needs a good strip joint to go to.

Raiders at Bills 1990 AFC Championship Game
Albany,n.y. replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some fan had a sign that was hung over the 1st row railing either in the club level or upper deck that said "Bo knows the Raiders suck". Security made them remove it before the start of the game. -
Remember when some of us wanted to draft Breese Hall and the naysayers were saying "You can't draft a RB in the 1st round". So it turned out they were right about the Bills not drafting a RB in the 1st & instead the Bills drafted Mr. Inactive Kaiir Elam. Next time draft the RB and stop with this stupid philosophy of no 1st round RBs.

I've seen Daniel Jones play for 4 seasons & today. It's a long period of mediocrity. I'm in Giants territory, so I see them play more than any team except the Bills.
-
The Giants management learned nothing about the QB position when they were with the Bills. When the Bills made the playoffs in 2017 Beane & McDermott realized they would be spinning their wheels with Tyrod & traded him with no QB on the roster other than Peterman and then McCarron. They had no idea if they'd get a franchise QB in the draft, but they knew better than go any further with Tyrod. Meanwhile the Giants re-signed Jones this off-season to a contract worthy of a guy who can get you in the playoffs every year ignoring the fluke playoff appearance & playoff victory before playing against Philadelphia like the 2017 Bills played in Jacksonville. I thought the Giants were crazy to give Daniel Jones that much money at the time & Jones has done nothing tonight to prove me wrong.

Will the opener be blacked out by Spectrum and espy
Albany,n.y. replied to Liberal Bob's topic in The Stadium Wall
Basically, although it varies by TV what the message to program it is. Around here, every now & then a station will change its signal and announce that you have to reprogram it. The stations are scattered in different towns/cities so they come from different directions. I really have to play around to get all the stations I want & then have to move the antenna to different spots depending on the station. Fortunately, all the stations are working on Verizon Fios after they settled with Nexstar earlier this year, so I haven't had to switch to over the air for a while now. . -

You do have to program in the digital stations. I've found in the past that I had to move the antenna around to catch certain stations, since some stations come from different directions. . -
My casino ticket says you have to show ID when cashing over $10,000. The last time I cashed a casino sports bet (2021) they paid up to $3,000, no questions asked. Over $3,000 you had to go to their cage, which I have no idea what they ask you to do. The one time I cashed over $3,000 (I bet Bills futures in 2019 because I had seen enough promise in Josh to have confidence the Bills would win 10 or more games factoring in the schedule and free agent additions at OL & WR) I brought a friend & gave him half my tickets to cash at a different window. I bet anonymously at the machines without a card. You can bet as much as you want, although I usually buy a few tickets and break them up. I have a Caesar's account but haven't used it in a year. I find if I have to drive 22 miles to the casino, I'll be pretty conservative & only bet games that I feel are high percentage bets. At the casino I don't like to go on Sunday because it's too crowded, so I won't make a last-minute bet that I haven't thought out as a good bet earlier. I've cashed thousands on horse races & if it's less than 300/1 odds of the total bet there are no forms to fill out. So, if I bet a pick 3 that pays $6,000, if I bet combos equal to $20 I don't fill out anything. It used to be 300/1 on a $2 bet so anything over $600 was tax time on a bet like a trifecta, but they changed that in 2017 to 300/1 of the total bet. Before the change you could still win thousands without filling out tax forms. For example, if you put $20 on a daily double that paid $6,000 no tax forms (20 X 300 =6,000, at 300/1 a $20 bet has to pay 6,020 to trigger a tax form :300/1 + original bet
