  1. Actually, it makes no sense. Dallas has a long term commitment to Dak Prescott. The Cowboys are not going to trade for Darnold who has this year, next year & a possible 5th year option on his contract. Obviously with their commitment to Dak, they wouldn't pick up the 5th year. So why trade for a guy for the rest of this season who doesn't currently know your offense & then expect him to sit behind Dak next year. The price would be a high draft choice. Too much to pay on Dallas' end. As far as the Jets trading Darnold, they shouldn't trade Darnold in season and start Joe Flacco. Flacco is done, period. They can tank for Trevor, but remember if he doesn't want to be a Jet he can stay in college-just like Peyton Manning chose to do when the Jets had the top pick in 1997 and Peyton stayed in school. The Jets have no choice but to keep playing Darnold & see what they have. He either produces some wins & stays or he loses them all & they draft Lawrence IF he declares for the draft. Until the Jets have clinched the #1 pick & Lawrence has declared for the draft, they shouldn't trade Darnold. However, since we're talking the Jets they could be crazy enough to trade Darnold. If they do, then it's because after seeing him in games & practice, management has determined he's a bust & they want to trade him now before he devalues himself by playing the rest of the season. If Darnold ends up being traded, it will be to a team that thinks he can be their starter, at least for 2021 and possibly well beyond that. The profile of that team is a team that currently has a veteran QB whose last year with the team is 2020. Most likely landing spots are Indianapolis, if they cut ties with Rivers, Pittsburgh if Roethlisberger wins the Super Bowl & rides off to the sunset like P. Manning & Elway did, or New England if Cam keeps sucking like he's done since his return. If one of those teams wants him to sit this year & learn then that's the only way he's getting traded during this season. The only possible in season trade I can imagine is a trade to Indy for Brissette & a draft choice. Nobody is trading out of #1.
  2. I can. BB Before Brady. Now is the AB After Brady era. The Patriots lost 3 games in a row a lot of times before Brady became their starter & they'll lose 3 games in a row a lot more times now that Brady is gone. Bill Belichick is 54-67 when coaching games without Brady starting. Bill Belichick is a genius when Tom Brady is his QB, in all other games he has a worse record than Rex Ryan (61-66 for Ryan)
  3. Flacco is washed up. The Jets are better with Darnold. Even though he sucked in the 2nd half, he's a huge upgrade from Flacco.
  4. All one has to do is look at the footage from Hard Knocks when he was on with the Rams & Browns. Giant A-hole.
  5. Fitzpatrick isn't going into coaching. He can be a broadcaster & have a lot more time with his big family.
  6. He's not allowed to be on the Bills active roster this year due to their use of the exemption when he went on the practice squad.
  7. I went to all 4 Bills Super Bowls and my co-workers were pretty brutal when we'd get back after the losses. When the Giants beat the Bills they put up crime scene tape at my desk, every newspaper clipping from the NY & Buffalo papers they could find & had a body outline with #12 on the floor by my desk. For the 1st Dallas game I went with my friend Petrino who worked in the sales unit that worked on the sale transfer documents which were called EA5217, which we called 5217s. When Petrino got back from the Bills loss in Pasadena they had scanned his ID photo made a fake coffin with his photo & the rest of the coffin filled with 5217s.
  8. I went Allen for both 1 & 2. Why aren't Mahomes & Watson on the list? Mahomes definitely would be #1, with a tough choice of Watson over Allen for #2.
  9. World Series:https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/news/world-series-2020-location-texas-globe-life-field/134iv8q772gwi16omsl7r5d347#:~:text=Are fans allowed at the, capacity to peak at 11%2C500. Are fans allowed at the World Series? Major League Baseball has allowed fans at Globe Life Park for both the NLCS and now for the World Series. They're allowing capacity to peak at 11,500. The new ballpark can hold approximately 40,300, so that allows fans to be scattered throughout seats at about a quarter of capacity. Tickets for the World Series were solid in pods of four for the purposes of social distancing. Most secondary ticket sale sites offered tickets in pairs. The ballpark is also filled with hand sanitizing stations and signs with reminders about masks and social distancing.
  10. The thing that most people forget is that among the reasons Kelly didn't want to sign with the Bills is because the plan was for him to sit a year or more behind Joe Ferguson. While the money & location are always mentioned, this never is.
  11. It is Saskatchewan who are the Roughriders. Ottawa was the Rough Riders. Not even close to the same name🤣
  12. Nope. That was the Giants who picked Hilliard at #7. The Jets moved down to #6 & traded that pick to Tampa, who then traded it to Seattle who took HOFer Walter Jones. The Jets picked 8th & took LB James Farrior. I remember that draft because it's the only draft I attended in person. My parents scheduled a 50th anniversary party that Sunday and I had to spend the weekend in Long Island. Since my parents didn't have cable, the best way I could see the draft was to go. My father took me to the railroad into NYC around 4:30 AM.
  13. When I graduated college (1975) I didn't have much of a say because the economy was a mess. I didn't work a full calendar year from 1/1-12/31 until 1981. Now I almost made it in 1978, but I got fired in December and it took another year & 1/4 to get back my career. Ironically, I'm probably one of the few who actually went back to Buffalo to resurrect my career. I eventually had to leave in 1982.
  14. Don Shula's last game as a head coach.
  15. A larger more mobile Brett Favre, especially at the 3 year point of their careers
  16. This reminds me of the 2004 NY Giants. They had rookie QB Eli Manning and veteran Kurt Warner. Warner started the 1st 9 games. The Giants were 5-4 and put the ball into Eli's hands. Now the difference is it was later in the season & the Giants had just lost 2 straight after starting the season 5-2 with Warner. The Giants wanted Eli to get real game experience even though he wasn't ready and as Warner proved in Arizona, he had plenty left in him. Eli lost the next 6 games before winning the finale, looking totally lost until his 5th start, where he finally showed flashes of being an NFL QB. It looks like Miami is more interested in the future than this season, just like the Giants were in 2004.
  17. Eagles already have 1 win & a tie. The only place they'll catch the Jets is in an airport.
  18. They have no chance playing Washington & the NYG twice this season. They already hedged their bets on Wentz by picking Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round last year.
  19. Washington starting Kyle Allen is their admission that they're in in the Tank for Trevor derby.
  20. Indy is a suicide/survivor pool nightmare. I lost one of my 2 entries in a pool I'm in on opening day along with 47 others who picked them to beat the since winless Jags and 12 people have Indy today.
  21. During his playing days I said the sooner he gives up the NFL & goes into tv the better for everyone involved. If he wanted to make a career of football, he had all the tools necessary for a long career in the booth or studio.
  22. If the Bills lose Monday night some around here will think there's no tomorrow.
  23. Before the season started I went game by game & had the record 11-5. So far I've picked every game right in my pre season predictions. Unfortunately, I had them losing to KC to go 4-2 before winning 3 of the next 4 to be 7-3 going into the bye. The final 2 losses were @ SF & @ NE and right now I think the SF game can safely be put in the W column.
