  1. I got to our local Bills Backers bar at 11:20 to ensure our group got the primo table. Some clowns were there ahead of us for the Dolphins game and barely cheered or moved a muscle. That's no way to watch a Bills game!!
  2. Anyone who wants to nitpick about McDermott - can point to this anecdote and ruminate that no one in the "Lost Generation" of Bills staffs between 2001-2016 was consistently preparing their teams, week in and week out, for this type of situational football. Yes, we finally have top end talent and depth, but it's the preparation element that is helping to potentially separate us from "very good" to "great"
  3. Thurman & Andre were at the Bills Backers tailgate in Baltimore this past weekend. Thurman was super friendly and warm with fans getting pictures, etc. Andre maybe a little less so, but still cool and smiling I couldn't believe how skinny Andre is these days - I mean he was thin during his playing years, but all the muscle made him look less so But we pointed out how big and strong his hands still look - I mean those are still HOF WR hands. I'll bet Lofton's look the same too
  4. I kind of laughed when there was a running weekly thing a few years ago of fans ending their post-game call with "Bulldog smokes the pole" Yes, it's a bit juvenile, but anything to throw those two off their guard is a good listen
  5. How is it that we have this many tinfoil hats coming out when we're 3-1 and Super Bowl favorites?
  6. It's more that I don't want Saleh to actually be given the runway to potentially become a good coach. The more that the teams in our division get into, and stay into that 3 year cycle of hiring and firing, the better off the Bills are. If Saleh stays, that probably means that he's over-performing expectations.
  7. Just from a pure standings perspective, we are all Jets fans this week But I really don't want to see the Jets spend too much time over .500 Robert Saleh is a charlatan and a blowhard, and the sooner he's fully exposed, the better
  8. LOL I was going to post that exact same quote, and I only got to the first reply before you beat me to it!
  9. That's surprising that we got rid of both of those guys, especially Emili, that quickly There has to be guys on the PS that are less worth keeping in other positions
  10. This is going to be like facing Davis Mills last year You can say all you want about Mike Tomlin being the best coach ever with his back against the wall, no losing seasons, blah blah blah But this team isn't losing to a rookie QB making his first ever start, at home
  11. The guy has simply been a pro's pro - coming in during the aftermath of a terrible situation, no training camp or very much time to get familiar with the team and the other specialists. And then just being lights out so far in his limited opportunities. Couldn't have asked for more
  12. Virgil - really appreciate the analysis of the game, especially insightful since I was also there in person. We had a bunch of us make the drive down from Harrisburg PA - the tailgate with Thurman & Andre was a blast and well worth the $$ All day, we pretty much couldn't believe how the Ravens fans basically let us take over their stadium. I get that the weather wasn't picture perfect, but the stadium was maybe 60-65% full, and at least 10-15K of those were Bills fans. We were everywhere. Our seats were in the very last row of the upper deck and most of our immediate area was all Bills fans. There was a hilariously obnoxious Ravens fan who taunted us mercilessly in the first half, then got spectacularly drunk and tried to pick fights. Fortunately, his buddy recognized the sea of blue & red around him and escorted him out by about midway through the 4th The stadium is a really good venue - wide concourses, friendly staff and vendors. But the fans just don't seem to show up - which boggles my freaking mind given how successful that team has been the past 20+ years. Their attempts at making noise were frankly pathetic, the stadium announcer was a joke. It's like they've had 25 years now to build up a fan base and a culture, they've won two SB's and it's still "meh" Makes me count my blessings to be a part of such a great fanbase. There's nothing like the Mafia
  13. I think that the Dolphins deserve nothing less than to have to play games with their 5th string QB by the time this season ends Oh, and maybe another lost 1st round pick too
  14. Make the drive to Harrisburg PA. Here we are right in the no-man's land between the Stillers, Iggles, and Ravens, but we had 100 people at our Bills Backers bar last Sunday.
  15. I predict a 6-6 barn burner between those two teams...
  16. Umm, that's not quite how it went down
  17. I'm good with our team not chasing points when we have a Top 5 offense and Top 5 defense If this was the Jauron years and we're trying to win games 17-16, then I might be a bigger advocate of going for 2 more often ***my last statement was theoretical only... we didn't score TD's those years
  18. Miami fandom is a joke. They wouldn't have to whine about the annual Mafia takeover if their fans would actually stop coming to the stadium disguised as empty seats
  19. I watched the Fins-Ravens game last night and came away decidedly unimpressed by Tua. He hit a lot of short receivers accurately - yes we all know that he can and will throw lots of balls close to the LOS. Luckily, our defense knows how to tackle Intermediate throws for him are a disaster. He doesn't anticipate well, and doesn't throw guys open or attempt difficult throws. We're pretty good at defending those He has guys that can get behind a defense and throw a deep ball. Something tells me we'll play a lot of deep zone and keep everything in front of us And lastly, he was pressured very little against the Ravens. We all know what he looks like under pressure Bills by a billion
  20. You haven't hurt my feelings one bit. I hope you enjoy spending half your energy at games getting frustrated anyone stands up in front of you But if everyone else in your section is standing most of the game, and it's commonly accepted by 99% of the people in your are that that's OK, then you're probably more of the problem than the solution.
  21. I think it's about time you get off your soapbox there fella. You've made your point about half a dozen times in this thread now, including a snotty response to my direct post. Many of us are saying the same exact thing, and you don't seem to be grasping the concept: There are sections of the stadium for everyone's personal preferences. If you want to stand the whole game, there are places where you can do that, and with next to no one who is going to be upset if you do so If you want to stand for big moments only, there are places where you can do that, and most others will be happy to join you If you want to sit the whole game, there are also places to do that. You are probably pretty willing to pay the $$ to do so as well As another poster also said, most experienced fans know what they're getting into when they purchase their tickets. But don't rain on other people's parade if they want to enjoy the experience in a different way than you do
  22. I'm more than happy to stand the entire game if that's what everyone else in the section is doing. To me, that means I'm sitting in an area with people who are really into the game like I am, instead of a bunch of twenty-somethings on their phones or old farts who don't even cheer or get excited when we score. That's part of the whole experience that I thoroughly enjoy. I don't need to be drunk, or even half-lit. But I want to be around people who are actively living and dying with every play, who want to get fired up and enjoy it the same way that I do. I recognize that there are others who don't have the same opinions, and for them, I hope they find seats that suit their style We didn't sit the entire playoff game against NE, nor did anyone else in our section. It was a blast, and I wouldn't have it any other way
