  1. I'm fine with the TE room as is. No need to add salary at this time for marginal return
  2. Hard to argue with the analysis. I think we're at least average at most of the key position groups and are drafting for depth and backfill. Which is a nice position to be in
  3. I'm getting that there is a non-zero chance that we will have a shortened regular season. But it seems highly unlikely - rather that they would just extend further into the spring if necessary. They're not giving up the cash cow of TV and stadium gate money.
  4. OP, you are spot on. I've been thinking about this for some time now. The more this lingers, the better off the Bills should look this fall. Few teams have the continuity and team drive that the Bills will have. Significant competitive advantage, especially early in the year
  5. The short answer is that if they're smart, they don't trade up. Frankly, this might be a year to trade down and stockpile picks for future years. How many rookies do we need to make this team? Likely - not many
  6. I think we're mostly aligned to the desire to upgrade the position, but for way too many reasons, Winston is not the guy to do that with
  7. RB is the last position that we should be investing FA resources on. Draft, Draft, Draft - stay young, cheap, and healthy at the position Lather, rinse & repeat
  8. Lots of luck with that... God I hope we're nowhere near that conversation
  9. I'm thrilled with where we are on the D-line. Lots of depth, experience, versatility. This should be an area of strength for next year
  10. what a waste of money for the Colts. That's how you stay in QB purgatory
  11. He's a nice player and would have been good to keep at a reasonable price. But not at $10M per for only 50% of the snaps. Can't keep everyone, and I'm OK with not overpaying to keep Shaq
  12. How stupid could Bill O'Brien possibly be?
  13. I like this move if the money is right. He's a beast when healthy and complements what Singletary brings to the table
  14. OK, I'll bite... Has never played a full 16 game season without injury Has averaged 4.0 yards/carry through his first 3 seasons (despite having several long runs to boost that average) Weighs 230 lbs Has had trouble getting along with coaches and management Doesn't come across as the most motivated or hard working athlete Will want a big second contract Again, I get that we want a big complementary back to Singletary. I just think we can do much better than this guy
  15. Hard pass. Why give up assets and cap $ for a RB whose best days are behind him already, when you can draft a guy with a similar round pick
  16. Unsure how this is related. Also trying to understand what urgency there would be to extend McDermott and/or Beane with 2 years left on their contracts
  17. good god, can we please not trade big draft capital for another WR
  18. What's the big deal about this? Weren't Mrs. Whaley and Mrs. Marrone doing this too??
  19. I'm not missing any point there, fella. His "plays" more often than not were a result of other more talented players winning their battles. Let's not overpay for JAG. I don't think anyone is going to be saying "dang" about Jordan Phillips leaving, especially if he gets big $$$.
  20. Yes!!! Let's overpay for a guy who got released by the Dolphins, will likely not put up the stats again that he did this year, and will cost a fortune to hold onto at the same position we just drafted a guy in the first round... But but but, he's a "chearleader" and loves Buffalo. That'll come in handy later when we can't re-sign our really talented draft picks to second contracts!
  21. gosh, would never have seen this coming after the dude sat out a whole year...
  22. I'm more than happy to watch Jerrah overpay this guy. Dak's OK but I don't see him as a championship QB. Anyone think that he'll really get any better than he already is?
  23. I think that a B grade is probably about right, given the production that we got. But to think that there's that many teams that nailed it with an A or a B+ is probably a little bit of grading on a curve
