  1. Yes, and while something like this seems to be somewhat insignificant, it was just more of an arrogant SOB coming in here and disrespecting the culture of the Bills. The color scheme alone on the uniforms was pretty much non-Bills like. Add to it that the uniforms were awful. Even more, his head coach came in touting himself as having a great defense, better than Buffalo's at the time (which it really wasn't, the Titans were able to beat up on bad QB's for a while), all the way to confiscating signs at the stadium. Donahoe came in arrogant, and never connected with the fans or city here. He was a miserable failure, even though there was a team or two of his that wasn't nearly as bad as a lot of our drought teams. He did even spend some money. But it didn't matter. My god, I hated that era of Bills football, and he was the main person that sucked the life right out of this franchise for a while. I can't believe he's still in the league.
  2. Happy Birthday Fergy. My first true Bills hero growing up when I was a kid.
  3. Huh? Unless this is a rule for kids in New York, this is pretty much 100% false. I have season tickets, live in VA, and neither of my kids were required to get vaccinations to go to school. My 5 year old is in Kindergarten, and my 11 year old is in 5th grade. Both have been in school all year (September through Current) 4 days per week, with Wednesdays off. School wasn't closed for Covid, not even once. There have only been a handful of positive Covid cases (Notifications via email) in the school building all year, and most were from employees. Most teachers were all vaccinated a couple of months ago, and that's when the high schools actually went back to school. No vaccination required there either. So, what kids had to get a vaccine to return to school? Thank god our school district actually was in school all year. I'm grateful to them for my kids future. It's still quite frowned upon that kids are vaccinated at this time anyway. At least the younger kids for sure.
  4. No, once again, I'm glad Milano is back. Not overly joyed by any means, but he's a decent player. He's not this legend that somehow he's garnered since becoming a free agent. However, if he would have been back without those two offensive lineman, particularly Williams, I would have been perplexed. Money would have been better spent on Williams. But somehow Beane created money nobody thought we had and got them all. Big win. We still need physical play at LB. We need a Klein type of player but with some type of flexibility, coordination and non-stiffness of the body. Even Klein had a nice stretch last year, and turned things around nicely. He even made a great impact for a few games. But, he's still a weakness. He's too stiff, rigid, and horrible in space, where most of the NFL is played. He's awesome as a backup, or situational type player, but he's not an answer to cure this defense. Star wasn't that good two years ago. Period. He was brought up in almost everything said about the Bills as one player that was likely to get cut in 2020. He's not the answer. He's being made into something he wasn't, just because the defense was very mediocre last year and people are trying to act like he was the reason. Phillips and Lawson were the disruptors on the Bills defense in 2019. They missed them, and their play in the opposing teams backfield, way more than Star. I can't believe people forgot how much Star was criticized. Matter of fact, if I remember correctly, even the reports from Carolina weren't all that great when we picked him up. Hopefully we draft pretty heavy on the defensive front 7 and get lucky and find a really good player or two. Star is nice to have as a rotational guy, but this team needs some physicality and nastiness somewhere on it's front 7. They lost a lot of that physicality and energy when Lawson and Phillips left. Oh well. I get all sides to the argument. Here's hoping Beane crushes the draft and finds some help on defense. I think he will. Together, they will all function better for sure.
  5. Indeed I have. I put that saying right under, "seeing is believing". I remember vividly what I saw. And it was mediocre. Not bad. Not great. We need help on defense.
  6. Two things I'm kind of perplexed at that have happened over the course of the offseason. #1 Somewhere last year, and over the last month or so, Bills fans turned Matt Milano into Derrick Brooks. I don't get it. I'm glad we got Milano back. He adds to our team and the unit is definitely better with him in the lineup. But man, his legend grew 1000 fold over the season. He's a nice linebacker, but he's nowhere near what everyone is making him out to be. I was much happier we got him back AFTER we saw the Williams and Feliciano signings. I think those two O lineman were much more important to the Bills than Milano. Having all three is wonderful though. But man, the kids legend grew exponentially with fans. Saw many "insider" articles calling him one of the guys in the league that will be "overpaid" this free agency not matching what he's actually worth (much less). However, insider articles also aren't worth much more than message board fodder these days, as there are many informed fans that have just as good of opinions as many insiders. #2 The same thing is happening with Star. This was a guy that almost everyone thought was underachieving on the field two years ago. There were countless articles that actually used him as an example as a player that would opt out of the 2020 Covid season because he/they thought were almost certain to get cut. So, here's another guy's legend that has somehow blown up and turned in to this mythical beast that held together the Bills run defense. Not really true. Star was OK 2 years ago. Again, he was criticized often, and many thought he was way overpaid. Now, all of a sudden, his absence was why the Bills struggled. Jordan Phillips and Shaq Lawson had more to do with our line than anything Star did. I know these guys have play roles, and Star's role was different than Lawson and Phillips, but the Bills defensive line had a few guys that wreaked havoc and caused disruption in the backfield. Mainly from Phillips and Lawson. That helped set up the defense to create long down and distance at key times that benefitted how they were able to force passing situations, thus teams not running on us as much. We let both go. I wish we could have kept Phillips somehow. Not saying we don't need Star, but man, I'm not sure how his legend has gotten so big all of a sudden. Glad we have all of these guys back. We are better with them, than without them. However, we have a lot to do on defense.
  7. Phew! This makes me feel better. Couldn't live without this at an NFL game. Total damage control. Hi my name is Daniel Snyder, and because I'm a jerk, I give you this to make you think I'm not a jerk.
  8. Wentz blows. This is good for the Bills because this doesn't get the Colts over the top and will probably hold the Colts reasonably in check. It's not that I don't believe in his skills, or his talent, but usually when a guy plays scared and is afraid to pull the trigger, they are done. Wentz looked scared to fail. These are the type of guys that can look good for a game or two, and everyone wonders if they've turned it back around, but when the spotlight comes on, the moment is still too big. He's done. His confidence looks shot. He may look good winning a few 1pm games on Sunday against Jacksonville, but he's not the answer to win anything meaningful at this point. Just my opinion, but he doesn't look like an athlete that believes in himself anymore, and NFL guys will eat him alive. There's a lot of mental here that is getting in the way of his skill set.
  9. We were down to our 3rd and 4th running backs this year. The Bills were definitely banged up. And we are going to cut a guy like Singletary, who isn't a world beater, but can play, to save 500K or 1.1 Million, whichever number is correct? No chance in hell. Singletary, at least, is worth 1.1 on the cap to this team. Even if they took a RB early, Singletary is worth 1.1 as a backup.
  10. That's the role that Dane Jackson had, and did very well.
  11. This year may be different, as obviously, Covid is limiting crowd size. However, Super Bowl tickets ALWAYS start off way overpriced and work their way down to their most affordable price right up to gametime. Often times, people can actually score gametime tickets for almost face value. If you can be patient, and don't have to attend all of the jock sniffer events that take place all that week, and have everything ready to go, you will be able to get a deal that is much better than you would think. Again though, the caveat this year is the limited capacity because of Covid. My advice may not apply in 2021.
  12. Hopefully not, because that would mean that the Jets probably got Watson from the Texans. I can't see the Jets moving on from Darnold for Fields. No way.
  13. LOL. Best part about this is that Brandon Marshall was singing the Shout song at the end!
  14. 31-20 Baltimore. We are still one year, and some physical defensive front seven players away. We don't stop the run or cover tight ends. That usually doesn't all of a sudden change after 17 games. I pray I'm wrong.
  15. Probably true. Josh actually likes and cares about family, the city he plays in, and the game of football. If Rodgers had the drive of Tom Brady, he'd have about 5 rings already.
  16. Yes!!! If each of the Bills Mafia chipped in $20 per year, do we have enough to do it? Ha!
  17. Ugh. This is about as wrong a narrative as it gets. Being in the comfort of your own surroundings is 1000 times better than being on the road. Period. Second, there is nobody in the AFC that wants to play the Ravens right now. Nobody. They are at #6. They aren't going backwards. Because of that, getting the #2 seed means you avoid Baltimore in the first round. It also likely means that Baltimore beats Pittsburgh in Round 1, and then goes on to play the Chiefs in Round 2, meaning we would most likely miss the best two teams in the AFC (other than the Bills) before the AFC Championship. That's huge. And don't think the coaches don't know it. And throw all the rah rah garbage out about you have to play the best the be the best nonsense. You actually don't always have to play the best to be the best. Get the easiest possible road to the 'ship as possible. The coaches no doubt are thinking the same way. Even if Baltimore ends up #5, the playoffs then re-seed for Round two. If all three favorites win in Round 1, plus Baltimore, the Ravens still go to KC in Round 2. That would be perfect for us. The #2 seed isn't meaningless. It's everything. Especially with Baltimore peaking at the moment. We don't have a meaningless game left.
  18. Wow, who in the hell thinks these games are meaningless? You can talk all you want about the stupid phrase about beating the best on the way to the Championship. Total BS. The Bills need to stay away from Kansas City until the final round of the AFC Playoffs. That requires the #2 or #3 seed. With Tennessee on our tail, you don't rest anyone. You play for the #2 seed. Period. That would guarantee the possible game with KC doesn't happen until the AFC Championship. And hope they get knocked off before sometime in the way there. I'm also assuming KC won't blunder their way out of the #1.
  19. The Bills need to keep winning for two reasons. To stay up in the #2 or #3 seed in order to miss a possibility of playing the Chiefs until Round 3. Very important. Don't think for a moment they don't realize that. Next, they need to keep winning for home field against Pittsburgh. And again, with or without fans, of course that's important as well to stay in the comforts of their own environment for two more weeks in the playoffs. That alone should give them pretty good incentive against two weak teams the next two weeks. And lastly, the Bills will be heavy favorites against both the Broncos and Patriots. Your analogy is like counting on the Ravens to lose to the Jags and Bengals and thus Miami gets in. But if the Bills would happen to lose one game, they still need to keep playing to stay in front of Tennessee (or if they fall into a tie, to stay with Tennessee to try and jump them again) and that likely will carry on through week 17. Your scenario is pretty far fetched....but yes, it does make sense.
  20. The Dolphins won't be in the playoffs. The Ravens will easily pass them. Not gonna happen. If the Steelers win one more game, the Bills will automatically have something to play for in Week 17. The Steelers will win one more game this week vs. Cincy. The Ravens will easily be in the playoffs. Miami is in deep trouble.
  21. The people the Bills employ and get air time are god awful. Chris Brown is awful. And I hate to say it, because he's so nice, but Murphy is one of the worst play by play people I've ever heard. His show was brutal as well. A lot of home town teams have some bad on air personalities, but ours are flat out awful. And I know they have to be, but a lot of A## kissing by Brown, and Murph as well, made me stop listening to anything they've had to say about 5 or 6 years ago. Great people. But hard to listen to IMO.
  22. He has had such a great year. He truly makes a difference in setting us up on Special Teams.
  23. Tirico is terrific. Not disappointed at all. As a matter of fact, he usually speaks well of Buffalo in general. I remember the MNF game against Dallas, when he just said.......we're gonna just let you listen to this crowd......and just let the Shout song play and they panned the crowd the entire time. Good stuff.
