  1. They don't. And look around, they are planning on staying there a long time. Thank God. Most of the new stadiums blow. Keep renovating what we have. It's one of the best atmospheres in the league. There's also nothing wrong with the stadium itself. The one thing people harp on are the concourses. And could they be wider? Yep. Was there ever a time where I didn't want to go to a Bills game because it might take another 60 seconds to traverse a smaller concourse? No. There's no way they are moving downtown. It couldn't be more clear.
  2. Yeah, of course that's Trump's fault and not the overtaxed state you live in, in which your local idiots make the rules on how much money they take from you. Please. Move somewhere else, or elect officials at home that don't want to take a lot more of your money in order to waste it on things out of your control.
  3. Interesting that, according to this map, Cleveland and Baltimore over through Erie. It could just be that it's off a bit, but Erie is supposedly Bills territory, and that's not fully reflected here. Close, but not fully.
  4. This thread cracks me up. I only hope that some new marketing "genius" with the Bills, with 15 college degrees and 12 letters after their name, doesn't read this this and doesn't try to change the SHOUT song or replace it. LMAO. Have any of you above ever been to a game? The song is the best part of the touchdown. The entire stadium sings it. The let's go Buffalo part echoes and is LOUD. And it's awesome to hear. Our players sing it. Our players make reference to it. Our fans know it. It's played at weddings. It's played in the parking lots. Whenever someone in Bills garb goes somewhere and sees another fan, a portion of that song comes out somehow. And it doesn't matter if it's in Buffalo, Canada, Virginia, Florida or California, the Shout song comes out. The song is the Schitt. It's old. Outdated. A tad corny. But works. And it's worked for a long period of time. Hell, youtube our fans, and in almost any situation, you'll hear the song. Bust through a table, everyone sings a song. Birthday party, you hear the song. Go to away games, and walk the ramps after a win, and you hear the song. The stadium is loud for 3 mintues after the touchdown, because everyone is singing and knows the song. Sometimes I wonder what the hell you all are looking at or listening to. Or if you've ever been anywhere else, where dumbass commercials or techno music is played after touchdowns that has nothing to do with the game. People here truly have no idea what a gem Buffalo is to watch NFL football. And yes, the song is awesome because of the unity is creates. The stadium is awesome because of closeness to the field to the stands and that it really isn't super commercialized. The prices are awesome too. Quit trying to kill what we have and celebrate things. Buffalo is unique......in a good way. Every visiting fan loves it here when they come, because football is still the draw here. Not how nice you can dress, what the sushi menu is, and if the song is "hip" or not following the TD. Embrace what we have. When it's gone, and the new stadium wears thin after one year, you'll long for these days. I'm from Pittsburgh. Heinz Field isn't the same as Three Rivers. And the new hockey arena doesn't have nearly the same atmosphere or character as the old igloo. Penguins home games are also snooze fests in the regular season and pricing is absolutely outrageous. The Shout song is a staple. Hopefully it doesn't go away. Ever.
  5. He's gotta be in coolest Buffalo man cave that exists right about now. It's gonna happen for the Bills one day, and Joel will be right there with us all to see it. RIP.
  6. What honestly pissed me off about this topic is that he kept saying last week that they were "in the hunt". No dumbash, you guys were solely in possession of your own spot. Other teams were in the hunt. He was trying to gloss over throwing a rookie out there saying we were in the hunt. We weren't. We were firmly all alone in the last playoff spot. Tied with nobody. Everyone else in the AFC was in the hunt. Not us. UGH.
  7. Not sure how this will effect the NFL. College. Or even high school yet, but....... I'm a Recreation Director in a County in Virginia. Our athletics department runs youth Athletics for county residents. Our county also has one of the best, if not the best, high school programs in the state. The program is top notch and wins big every year. Virginia is also one of the top 10 talent rich states for football players in the country. Usually sits right around 6 or 7. That being said, there is an undeniable drop in football numbers in youth football, not only in our county, but all across the state. In our league alone, around the Richmond area, the league has dropped from 32 teams to 22 in the last 5 years. Some entire county's in the league can't even field a team in an age division anymore. This is really started in the last five years. And I'm not talking about this being an inner city league. As a matter of fact, it's so bad, the numbers all across the state are alarmingly bad and the trend is continuing to get worse. Here's a case in point. Swimming vs Football. In a suburban county just outside of Richmond, there are 3 football associations in the same area that has 6 swimming associations. 5 years ago, there were about 700 kids swimming, and about 550 playing football. Today, there are 2,200 swimming and 325 left playing football. Granted, swimming is coed, but that's a huge difference in the exact same area. It's alarming. Football is by far the country's most favorite sport. However, it is seeing a severe reduction in the number of little kids playing. Sooner or later, that will catch up to the upper leagues. I study these numbers for a living. Football is the only youth sport that is falling so incredibly fast.
  8. LMAO........but, but, but........ Receivers can't possibly play in a new offense half way through the year! - Said every loser that's afraid to go for it. YEEHAW. We have ourselves a legit #1. And a #2 with Matthews!!! Beane was next man up!!!! Hell Yeah!
  9. Oh jeez. There isn't a hypothetical in the world where Donte Moncrief is better suited for any type of offense over TY Hilton. You've gotta be kidding me. TY Hilton is a legit #1 WR in the NFL. Period. Moncrief is not. Moncrief is the exact kind of player we need an upgrade from to help this passing attack.
  10. With 50 catches in 7 games, on a team with bad QB play. Sounds about right.
  11. So, he ran scout team stuff with Tyrod 4 years ago in Baltimore. Caught 38 NFL passes in the 3 and a half years since that time (meaning he probably really isn't that great), and has lifetime stats over 7 years that doesn't equal Inman's one year last year. And I should be confident about that why? Inman is an instant upgrade over all of these guys. I don't care when he shows up. Just hypothetical though. They may not even wanted to trade with us. I just hope we try to uncover guys like Inman is what I'm saying. For a 7th rounder, on a team with horrible WRs like the Bills (Or Bears in this case), seems like a slam dunk, no brainer. And again, I'd take Inman at the expense of Holmes. Period. Tomorrow. Who thinks we'd really miss Holmes' 8 catches this year?
  12. Pretty close. Matthews is solid, but he's certainly not a #1. Agreed. But he could make it on ours.
  13. LOL. I love those "your not a GM" comments. Yes, I'm expecting immediate impact from Inman in Chicago over who they have currently on their roster because he's better than all of them. Period. That's why their GM traded for him. Immediate impact doesn't mean he'll catch 8 passes for 118 and 2 TD's this week. It means though, that a better WR will be on the field, almost certainly. What do I picture a WR of this quality to do for us? Play football at a higher level than all of our guys other than Jordan Matthews. He's better. He's proven better. He's only 28 years old. He makes us better immediately. He'd be a one year rental for a 7th round pick. On our current team, that would help us. And over Thompson.......yes! Over Thompson. Thompson had one good game, and for all we know, and judging by his past in the NFL, he got lucky. He got most of his yardage on a busted coverage. But, we sure can hope Thompson ends up being a gem, but most likely, he had a nice game, and it probably won't continue. He's already a bit of a journeyman, like our other guys. But more so for me, it would be over Holmes. Holmes gives us almost next to nothing on the field. At all. Inman is a relatively young WR, that has history, and was acquired for a measely 7th round pick. Absolutely sign me up for that guy for the rest of this year. Again, he had 53 for over 850 last year. He's better than anyone but Matthews. Oh please. Our wide receivers sucked coming in to this year. We needed one, even if Watkins was around. And significantly or marginally better than Holmes? Are you serious? Holmes is awful. He was awful before he came here, and he's awful now. Inman actually had a decent year last year. Holmes has only caught more than 25 passes once in his 7 year career, and that was 47, 4 seasons ago. So yes, Inman is marginally better for sure. Can't even question that. And really, he's probably significantly better. So, that's that. Nice try to marginalize that though. And bury the Bears? Really? Do you watch football? They have been maybe the only team in the NFL to have been mentioned to have a worse receiving corps than the Bills. That's actually saying something. So, it's hardly a dumb trade, when you have a rookie QB, who needs some NFL caliber WR's to throw to, and for a 7th rounder. It makes a ton of sense for the Bears. At least they have a decent WR, that has a recent track record of being able to put up any kind of positive numbers in the NFL. That should help Trubisky have a bit more confidence this year. They only threw 7 passes last game. Whether he's there after this year or not, means nothing. They gave up a 7th to help their rookie. Big deal. And they aren't out of the race yet, especially with Rogers out. Not likely, but it's not like they are 0-7.
  14. Right, but he got here late and is fine. Same with Thompson. Not buying the while system thing. Guy can either separate and catch or he can't. Football is not that complicated. Andre Holmes was here all camp and has 8 catches in 6 games. I'm pretty sure Inman can do that.
  15. If this is true, this would be a good reason. I think we have a 7th though. You mean like Jordan Matthews? And really Thompson? I don't want to hear about Deonte Thompson being here two years ago. That doesn't count anymore. He showed up, and gained over 100 yards. Not a bad thought. At least this makes sense.
  16. So, the Wide Receiver starved Bears got Dontrelle Inman for a 7th round pick today. He's 28 years old. He caught 53 passes for 850 plus yards last year after Keenan Allen got hurt. He was on the bench this year. We are in the hunt for the playoffs. Our receivers are mind boggling horrible. So, tell me. Make a case against why we wouldn't want a guy like Inman (minus a 7th round pick) over say......Andre "YMCA League" Holmes? By the way....I get our plan. I love our high picks. I'm on board. I like our direction. We just have a chance.....now.....as well as in the future. But we are talking a 7th rounder. For a guy that is practically Jerry Rice compared to Andre Holmes. Same Andre Holmes that sucked with David Carr and all other QB's he's played with. This outta be good...... And remember, for a 7th........so seriously.......a 7th rounder next year. That's the last round in case you didn't know. I'm just sayin' And before all you "he needs to know the system" guys speak out......well, there was Deonte Thompson last weeked.....that didn't know the "system" but still lead us in receiving. And yeah, I know Thompson played for us before. For a completely different staff. Just sayin'
  17. Seriously. My god. I had to log in just to say thank you for this. Hell, one guy even points out his "mediocre" start to this season. Yeah, um no, he's not performed mediocre. He's been downright bad or non-existent in every game but one. Thank You for this. Simple and 100% factual. But yet, when Watkins was with Buffalo, it didn't matter that Tyrod never had an offseason with him either. Watkins was hurt every offseason but one, and most of the time didn't even practice during the week in the regular season. But yet, somehow, it was Taylor's fault that he couldn't get the ball to his supposed "superstar" player, and that's why Watkins suffered supposedly. Offseason work only matters when it serves someone's viewpoint. The excuses are almost all gone now for Watkins. Put up or shut up time for #14. Shut your mouth, grind, and prove it on the field. He's about to pop the Bust bubble if he doesn't get going soon.
  18. No it hasn't. There could have been a thread every day since the end of last off-season about how bad the Wide Receivers are on this team. As a matter of fact, some of believed that we needed two more receivers here even when Watkins was still here. And on the subject of Watkins, he hasn't done schitt this year outside of one game. Now, we need three WRs. It's pathetic. If we had legit NFL Wide Receivers, as dumb as this sounds, and as average as we are, we could be 5-0. Now, a position that we knew was awful and unaddressed coming in to the season, is even worse now. That's a legitimate gripe. Beane should be the next man up this week for neglecting this. I get building for the future. And am on board. But we have a shot now. He owes it to the veterans to give them a chance at success, with a relative easy schedule coming up.
  19. Wait a minute. Does this mean we still have to think he still really sucks in order to be cool here? Imagine how much more damage he could do with an NFL caliber receiving corps!
  20. Sack up. It's time to strike. I wanna go for it. Winnable game to get to 4-1. 3-0 AFC. A bye at a perfect time for us. Then two games at home, both very winnable. It's time for management to back up the talk about winning, because the path is actually very visual. I know it's probably too late to add anyone of any kind of playing ability. But, hopefully we see the path and go for it. Philly Brown isn't going for it.
  21. Doesn't mean they are good. They are winning in spite of a garbage WR corps. There's no debate. Holmes is the worst starting WR in the league. He's added absolutely nothing that any other WR couldn't have done. Nothing. I LOVED the Watkins trade. He's almost done next to nothing either. He's had one good game with the Rams. He's been brutal in the other three. He can rot out there. But you can't just make these moves and not fully address this glaring weakness. Hell, even if you were in the Watkins is good camp, they STILL needed a WR. The only thing that looks like will hold us back from a really good season, is going to be our WRs. And that stings. Just because we are 3-1 has nothing to do with why we have such a glaring Achilles heal.
  22. What? If he plays well, who cares who else goes? Andre Holmes can go. Hell, anyone can go other than Matthews and Jones. If they find someone who can catch and get open, it would be pretty easy to find someone to go off of this group. And if Reilly needs a year, well, that's his problem. Because next year, this group should be addressed big time with guys that can play right away or high picks, meaning the scrap from this year will be expendable immediately after the season.
  23. Except that this one is a no brainer. Period. We have no WRs. And I think, in a weird way, that even though we signed one today, it actually made us even worse!
  24. It's complacency period that this is our Wide Receiving corps. No excuses. It was awful before Matthews got hurt. It's even worse than awful now. There is no debate. Now, that being said, it's a bummer that we have a really good chance to land a 4-1 record, but the one thing that most likely will hold us back from that fact is a position that should have been addressed months ago. Call it what you want. It's awful, and it's something that might bite us in the ass. Honestly, I don't know. That's why 90% of people with a brain would have addressed it before the season. Philly Brown is basically a zero out there. It's a bummer. It's bad enough that WR wasn't addressed. What the hell were they thinking though, when they even considered what would happen if we were to incur injuries to the position?
