  1. Move over Martin Nance and Marcus Easley......here comes the next board legend at wideout.
  2. Everything that you said above is true. But what some people don't realize is that if you just aerate and plant the right kinds of seed (Fescue, Rye, Bermuda, etc) at the right times of the year (and many places need at least two kinds to be green all year), and then spray them out at the proper times so that they won't compete, you're grass will be golden.
  3. In related news........applications for the Honolulu police department rise by 400%.
  4. I was actually a Hardy fan as well. I thought he was a sure fire stud. Hardy wasn't your board created superstar like Nance or Easley were. Those guys weren't even that great in college. Hardy was big, and dominated games at times in the Big Ten. Way off on that one.
  5. The comments here are astounding. This is a fantastic pickup for them to be their backup QB. Fitz is an awesome backup. Other than a developmental backup QB, he is everything you want in a backup. Smart, works hard, has the ability to play great at times (which he did in Buffalo....at times), and won't complain about his role. This is a great pickup. He's a backup QB. Period. A backup that experienced some success in the NFL.
  6. Tom "I'm gonna change this entire franchise, ignore its history, and stifle your speech" Donahoe
  7. On the ride home today, I was listening to Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan and a fan who likes the Bills called in and asked them how they like what the Bills have done so far. In a nutshell, said they re-signed their kicker. Nothing more. No comments on Caussin. Debated Byrd a bit both ways. And the most decisive answer about Chris Williams was that they hoped that Williams wasn't signed to be a starter. Period. If he was, they aren't impressed. Miller said the smallest glimmer of hope from Williams thus far in his career was the brief period that the Bears tried him at RT. Other than that, he hasn't been that good. Kirwan said he's a backup.
  8. Well, the Bills are starting to fix the problems that they created last year and didn't address. Albeit with a guy they think can play better than he has his first 5 years. Now I know why they paraded Carpenter and his family out yesterday like he was Demarcus Ware and son. Williams will definitely help us stay around 6-10. He's that kind of player for sure.
  9. I agree Pete. But hey, they signed Mike Caussin today. REALLY? Here's a tool that had 6 catches THREE years ago, and didn't play the last two years. Seriously, you can't make up stuff like this. And it's not like he was a high pick. He was an undrafted FA. So, even in a minor signing like this.....you have to scream......WTF? You can't tell me this guy is in any way, shape or form useful to this organization. Again, you can't make this stuff up.
  10. You're shortly going to be pounded with post after post about how smart the Bills front office is for not signing any good players. I mean, now that Mike Caussin is in the fold, posts are already starting about how Chris Gragg is going to surprise people, etc, etc, etc. How could a fan from a loser want anything more than a K and Mike Caussin?
  11. I'm fine with talking about the Sabres. And just for those of you that don't read, and to say that I don't pay attention to anything Sabres, I didn't know they do a segment with Rob Ray today. However, I tuned in today thinking they would be covering the NFL FREE AGENCY opening. Not waiting for the Bills to sign someone, but covering the whole thing. Bills and NFL. You know, like every other media outlet today at 4pm. I tuned in, and they had a dreadful 30 minutes of Rob Ray and a terrible Sabres team. They are back on track now. Thank God. Again, I don't hate WGR. Just frustrated today when tuning in at 4pm. I went elsewhere because of what was on. Not mad. My choice. But also, bad choice by them today, IMO.
  12. Cool. I'm actually not a WGR hater. I honestly didn't listen at 3-4, so maybe I jumped the gun. I also have no emotional ties to the Sabres. But this whole last 30 minutes with Rob Ray was flat out useless, boring and awful. This could have taken place any other day.
  13. This is absolute garbage today. I turn it on at 4pm, and look to get some NFL coverage on a day that has become big. And they are talking about the FUGGIN Sabres. Every other media outlet today is covering the NFL. And the NFL is in their market. My god. They could chat with Rob Ray on any other day!
  14. Seriously. That's exactly what I was thinking. Whaley stands there and says they didn't tag and trade him because it's too many moving parts. You have to find a trade partner, etc. ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDIN ME? That's your job Doug!!! My god this team is unreal. You can't make this stuff up.
  15. There will 100% be a team in LA, in the near future (whatever near is deemed by the NFL). Arthur Blank was just on Sirius NFL radio, and talked very candidly about a few things. I wish we actually had a coherent, well informed owner. He was a great listen. He was asked point blank about teams in LA and London. He very clearly, and without hesitation said yes they will exist. His said there will be one, very possibly two in LA, AND one in London. He said it's pretty much a certainty. Matter of when in the near future, not if. The one thing I liked about what he said though, is that he indicated that there seems to be discussion about whether or not to expand the league or to move teams, which isn't to be taken lightly. He pretty much said it's going to happen without any kind of hesitation or beating around the bush.
  16. Just wondering. I'm pretty sure they said they would like to have everything completed by 2015, but would do as much as they can in 2014. Ole Russ is already using the renovations in his season ticket invoice deposits. As in, be the first to secure your seats in the newly renovated RWS. Garbage, but oh well. As a season ticket holder, I will be curious to see some of the improvements I guess.
  17. That's halftime. Him and McKelvin were jawing all game. This sounds pretty simple to me. Sounds like he's talking about McKelvin playing press coverage on him, and inferring that he couldn't do it so he needs to get his ass in the weight room. #21 did a great job on Smith. He totally got in Smith's head, who acted like an !@#$ all day.
  18. OK, so I'll ask again. Where in the article does it say that picture was MID-GAME? Most likely this picture was taken at the end of the game. I'm all for making fun of other teams, but I can think of a lot of times where our stadium doesn't look so hot either. It doesn't say this is mid-game, inferring that the crowd looked like this around halftime. That's because it's a misleading thread title. The original pic wasn't mid-game. And no where in the article does it say that pic was mid game. We don't need to make stuff up about other teams to make ourselves feel better. We all know Jags games aren't well attended. But this post is a lie. If someone posted this kind of crap with a wrong thread title about the Bills, the OP in this case, who has to be related to Russ Brandon, would flip out. Pretty weak.
  19. Where in the article does it actually say that was mid game?
  20. Wonder if Byrd will be there for his big announcement?
  21. By the way, if I'm not mistaken, Mike Shanahan didn't spend all day at OBD. The Bills went out to Denver to visit him.
  22. I work in tourism, and can't say enough about how ignorant this statement is. I could breakdown how many tourist and film dollars were spent from the movie Lincoln, since it was pretty much filmed where I work. The money they spent in the Central VA area was astonishing. Especially in terms of the businesses they affected and bought from. The restaurants, lumber yards, hotels, and on and on. Just that little stuff alone meant a TON to local business owners and contractors. The movie is there and it pretty much just spends money, or it's not there and your community doesn't get any money. It's really pretty much that simple.
  23. The dream is still somewhat alive but I had to work for it. Called today. Had to go through three departments and then a verification phone call. First guy offered the ticket for $29.99 a month for six months. Told him to cancel me. He instead offered to transfer me. Second guy offered to give me the Sunday Ticket for $129.99. Told him that its not fair that I see all these deals posted online plus new customers that get it for free, etc, etc, etc. I told I still want to cancel because I go to 8 Bills games a year and they are on NFL Network in another one. Transferred to an American. Finally. My deal ends up being $20 off of my bill per month for 12 months, $15 off of my bill for 15 months and Sunday Ticket free. I really hate calling every year, but really, that just netted me $690 in savings. How can you not call and haggle? I actually had to edit this because I checked my new bill, and thought the $20 off for 12 months or $15 off for 15 was an either or. Turns out, I'm getting both. Wow. Good Luck everyone. Its worth the phone call. Pretty Happy right now.
  24. Hard Knocks probably wanted to film in Buffalo but the "film tax" was too high. So, they too, left and went to film somewhere else in Ohio!
