  1. But again now, there are multiple people that have obviously seen something that is off about his attitude. I think the OP brings up a good point. I like Stevie, but again, I along with numerous others, saw the same thing. And it has absolutely nothing to do with running 40 yard routes. But again, something just slightly off. Nothing to worry about yet, but it's just something that is somewhat noticeable.
  2. I'm pretty sure the OP just asked if anyone else saw anything that looks kind of odd about SJ's attitude on the field. I have no idea who the OP is, and wondered the same thing at the game. I love SJ. He's just asking. I'm wondering as well. This wasn't the kind of SJ matured posturing, that's why he asked. Hopefully, it's the groin, but it does look to have a tad bit of pout in there as well.
  3. I noticed this on Sunday at the game. Couple of us were actually talking about in the stands. Not sure how bad it really is, but it was enough to make us all wonder as well.
  4. Yes Russ, that's exactly what people are saying. You can't recover 12 years of crappy football, and a terrible owner by beating New England. When season tickets were at about 37,000, tickets aren't scarce. Also, it's not like people haven't seen a fast start and monumental slide before as well (see Trent Edwards). Games aren't cheap for people anymore, even if the Bills prices are low. Some people can't blindly spend $300 to take a family of four to a Bills game, especially when they suck, and the owner is pretty much non-existant. The Pittsburgh PIrates have had 19 losing seasons in a row. It looks like they are going on 20. They started great last year and collapsed. However, when they started fast and were in it around the all star break, people were buying tickets like they were Steeler games, yet, full didn't believe. The fans were right. Games were empty at the end of the year. The Pirates started incredibly well again this year. The Pirates started selling out almost all of their home games around mid-season, and then they collapsed again this year. Games are now empty again. It's not that people don't like the Pirates, they just don;'t want to shell out money to a crappy ownership group that they don't believe in. The NFL is a different beast now than it was in the early 90's. If the Bills look competent and start winning, their season ticket sales wil go up in the mid 50's., there will be a scarcity of tickets, and all games will sell out easily. Until then, fans that have been jacked around by terrible leadership have no reason to believe in the crap the Bills have put them through for better part of decade. Period. And all of this from a season ticket from VA, Section 135, Row 17, two seats. However, just because I have season tickets doesn't mean that I ridicule fans that don't. I actually admire them for having the strength to not have them, while I largely have thrown away my money at an organization that doens't seem to care much about their fans year after year, for the last decade or so.
  5. Those sound great, but they aren't. You honestly need to be at about row 15 or above in the lower bowl to be able to see everything well, on both sides of the field, and have what would be considered great seats. Actually, if you can score between rows 20-30, you are golden. The seats at the Ralph are so close to the field anyway, sitting is row 20 is flat out terrific. Long story short, don't buy those, you won't see a lot of the action near the redzones of the field.
  6. This is total BS. Go back to the Jets and what? Replace Tebow, who is 20 times the player Smith is for what they would be used for? For KO returns in which there aren't any anymore? He would probably go somewhere one more time on name alone and then banish from the league. Stop this Smith nonsense already.
  7. Most people don't buy it. Smith is friggin horrible. Quit apologizing. There is no way this team is better with Smith on it instead of a guy like Roosevelt. Smith is the worst QB. The worst RB. The worst WR on the roster. I would rather have TT stay as the #3 and Roos on the team. Hell, Smith isn't even the #5 WR, because Spiller is also ahead of him. He's a total waste of space. And spare me the wildcat crap. Can the dumbass wildcat, stick Freddie and CJ in there, and run the ball like all of the big boys do. Guess what, Jackson or Spiller would convert as well. Did anyone see how timid Brad Smith on kick returns? The only good thing about this is that at least we are talking about guys who don't see the field much. We grossly overpaid for Smith when we got him, and most people thought so. Hell, even those of us who thought we overpaid for him at the time, even thought he was a tad better than he is now. He is a wasted roster space. And I'm not a Roosevelt apologist either. I think we badly need a #2 WR.
  8. Amen. Sold the Skins tickets the day before game. Sold Steelers tix, the next day. Probably could have gotten more for them. Oh well. Couldn't be happier.
  9. And certain posters relish every move that the Bills make as gospel. So, you are positive that Nix got this one right after one pre-season game? If I'm remembering right, wasn't Levitre once demoted during camp not too long ago? How'd that work out for the Bills best lineman? I, for one, wish Bell was still on this team. Not sure if the money was right, and it probably wasn't, but without Pears right now, we look awfully thin again at T. God help us if anyone else gets hurt along with Pears out at tackle.
  10. Season ticket holder in VA. 2 seats. Lower Bowl. 30 Yard line. Bills side. 17 rows up. Posted both preseason games on ticketexchange, and got $40 per ticket for the Washington game and $60 per ticket for the Steelers game. Nice little surprise for the bank account for games that I thought about making a post to give away. Just FYI for those of you thinking about using ticketexchange. I upgraded seat locations two years ago to these great seats, and have had terrific luck re-selling.......including all of the games that aren't sellouts.
  11. Ahhhh, you may have a point. lol A venting thread is never quite complete until you show up and give Russ his proverbial reach around disguised in a sarcastic one liner. Kudos, you are Superfan #1.
  12. Byrd, Barnett,Wood, Billy Buffalo, even though I know that is for family day.
  13. Fred is an ultimate story, and was left off of the season tickets. Does this really mean anything.....no. But really, the tickets feature the Bills "best" players. So, why in the hell does it always seem like Freddie gets the shaft? Ugh. Piss poor, IMO. Again, this will not win or lose any games for us, just kind of feel bad for FJ sometimes.
  14. I would seriously poop on my neighbors lawn or sidewalk. I don't know why, I just would.
  15. Ed - You do have that card to play. When I got my two new receivers for free last week, I had to agree to sign a new two year agreement. That means that I would actually owe $480 if I dropped their service. Just tell them FIOS will offer you a Visa card to cover most of that disconnection fee (which they actually will), and that you aren't happy because everyone else is getting great deals. You just have to get by the first set of reps and to the disconnect customer service reps OR customer retention. If after the phone call prompts you just say cancel service, or cancel sunday ticket, or cancel anything, you'll go to the front of the customer service line on the phones and get a rep right away. If you then get by them, you'll get put on hold forever, play the game and wait them out. Trust us, it works.
  16. LMAO. Just called AGAIN. This was my second call. So, I just added two receivers to my man cave about a week ago and got Sunday Ticket thrown in. I really could care less about the Viacom channels (although my 2 1/2 year old watches some of their shows, but I have enough DVR'ed that it doesn't matter about the loss)that it gave me another reason to gripe and get even more money. So I called today. Complained that the reason we got the two extra receivers was largely so that my daughter and wife could watch NICK and CMT and that the dispute happened a few days after I renewed for two years. Blah blah blah. First rep offered me $5 off for three months. No way. Finally transferred me to the disconnect people. New rep goes round and round with me about how important of a deal I already got by my fee waive for Sunday Ticket Max. Especially since I was getting the Redzone channel and player tracker. I promptly told her that those are two garabge features that my open laptop can do better than either of those two features they are now "giving me". Also told her that no one signs up for DTV because of the Redzone channel. They sign up because they have a monopoly on the games.....not the frills no one asked for in the first place. Also told her I'm a Bills season ticket holder and only needed DTV for 7 Bills games, which makes it harder to pony up all of that money for those few games. 20 minutes later, I just got another $30 credit for 12 months on top of Free Sunday Ticket. That's really $360 plus $299 for a $659 savings, although I would never pay them $300 for Sunday Ticket. I actually told her I hate calling all of the time, but to all of you out there, it really is worth it. That's some serious cash savings that you don't have to just throw away. I honestly am lucky enough to be able to afford DTV's stuff, but I'd rather have the money in my daughter's college fund account than theirs. I'm sure they are still making hand over foot, and I am paying full price for the NHL package and half price on the MLB plan. Good Luck to all. Hopefully, these last two posts in this thread help some of you. I really like DTV. And it takes a while, but they always do seem to come through with discounts.
  17. So, I'm originally from Pittsburgh. Huge Pirates, Pens, and ashamed to say Penn State fan. Bills season ticket holder. Hate the Steelers. So, I'm in my Pirates glory, and am reading some stuff on the Pittsburgh Post Gazette website. I take a Q3 Poll on their site........ Q1 - Do you get any of all of your news on a news app? 73% yes 27% no Q2 - How much do you like Ryan Fitzpatrick? LMAO - Really!!! 41% Never heard of him 39% No strong opinion either way 10% I don't like him 5% I like him 1% I love him (This is where I voted) I'm still laughing so hard, I can't even remember what the third question was. Why in the hell was this question in that poll on their website? Hilarious. Thought I'd share!
  18. If you are a Bills fan, and don't have this code, you really aren't paying attention. Today, if you are a Facebook fan, you got the code. Twitter fan....you got the code. If you ordered anything from the Bills Store......you got the code. Any kind of group leader or just ordered tickets last year, you got the code. Today's code really wasn't all that secretive. I'm surprised that WGR didn't announce it over the air to all of their "exclusive" Bills listeners today. lol.
  19. Just made my call today. I also made this call out of necessity as well. My wife is awesome and granted me my man cave wish to have three TV's in there to watch sports. So, I needed two more HD receivers and, of course, the Sunday Ticket. So, at retail, I was looking at $99 each for the receivers, and $199 or $299 for Sunday Ticket. Called and told them FIOS would give me a gift card to cover leaving DTV early as well as give me my HD recievers for free and NFL Redzone channel. The guy said, well, with FIOS you can't get the Sunday TIcket. I told him I was a season ticket holder (which I am), and that the Bills also had a Thursday game, so I was just using the ticket for 7 games anyway. He put me on hold and came back with this deal...... 2 HD Recivers and the Sunday Ticket (not MAX), but the regular Sunday Ticket for free. Couldn't be happier. New additional receivers get hooked up next week, and I can't wait til football. Thanks DTV!!!
  20. My family's prayers and thoughts go out to you. Keep up the strength, as hard as it may be, to help your family cope with all of what has happened.
  21. No doubt, but we also aren't at Green Bay's level in terms of being able to like their team. It hasn't exactly been too hard to be a Packer fan. They have been run well. They have championships sprinkled in over multiple generations. They have been stable at QB, almost unrealistically, over a large period of their relevant existence. Same with Steeler fans. It's not exactly hard to be a Steeler fan. They win all of the time. Period. If you plop down Ralph Wilson and his bumbling history in a ton of NFL cities, and you would have a franchise that draws next to no one. Buffalo has been very loyal to a franchise that has been largely subpar and horrible during most of it's time in the city. Buffalo fans are terrific.
  22. #1 - This franchise has largely been garbage for more than a decade. Not just garbage, but largely clueless, without a sniff of playoffs, except for one year, and even then, had to make a late run against a bunch of high school teams to get there. That takes a toll. With any kind of hope whatsoever, and we would be in the 50's for season tickets. #2 - 40,000 plus seats unsold? Not really possible seeing that we had about 38,000 season tickets sold and capacity is between 72-73 if I'm not mistaken. I get your point, but no need to exaggerate, unless you were talking about 40,000 total for the month of December. In which case, again, losing team, on yet another long losing streak, at the end of the year where games again don't mean squat. When this franchise gets it ish together, which it is starting to do, season tickets will creep back up into the 50's and probably stay there for quite some time, if the franchise can provide any kind of stability of hope from time to time. The NFL is wildly more popular than it even was 10 years ago. The Bills will sell tickets easily, and during any month, if they show they have a clue.
  23. I have nothing against the BTI. As a matter of fact, I used to eat there every Saturday afternoon before games. But lately, the service has been terrible. And when I say terrible, I mean, there basically isn't any. The wings, and bar itself are great. Nice. Homey. Can't beat it. However, I have been in there multiple times, when you get a seat toward that back, and you have to wait forever for someone to serve you. Usually OK, because you are almost always there with friends for Bills games anyway. So, you just walk up to the bar, and get what you need. Then, after you do get your order in, it seems to take forever. Again, no big deal, but after repeated experiences like this, it just gets old. I'm not alone. All of the season ticket holders around me are from out of town. We used to meet there every Saturday from Philadelphia, Richmond, and New Hampshire. One guy is from Buffalo. We all think the same thing. Matter of fact, we discovered Danny's because of the service at Big Tree. The rumor from the local guy from Buffalo is that you don't get service at BTI anytime before the last local gets service. Again, not a big deal. Just not for me. BTI is the coolest atmosphere in the area. Just be prepared to spend your whole night in there waiting for food. Duff's wings are good. Danny's are good. Hell, almost any non-chain wing place in Buffalo is good. Me personally though, I'd rather go somewhere else, and it has nothing to do with food or atmosphere! Just one opinion.
