  1. How does that song go "too much time on their hands."
  2. They replaced Gilmore, who either doesn't know how to tackle or doesn't want to, with some one that hopefully can.
  3. Follow this link, I think you will really enjoy it. Never cared much for "I am a Walrus" but this made me listen to it with a different mind set.
  4. Thanks for that link. The comments are interesting. It appears there is a connection with what you may be used to listening to and what you think is a good cover. There is no way the Clash version of "I Fought the Law" is better than The Bobby Fuller Four. "I Fought the Law" is one of my most played songs. If I played it, I would play it from 3 to 10 times in a row. There are some songs I just can't get enough of when I hear them, and that is one of them. I vaguely remember the Ramones "California Sun". I clicked on it to listen to it, especially since I really like the Riviera version, and I thought it sounded like something you might hear some group do to stick into a movie. Then I had to laugh as I read the write up and it said the Ramones used it in their movie "Rock and Roll High School."
  5. The Yardbirds, "A Train Kept a Rollin."
  6. I pitched fastpitch softball for 12 years. Luckily I never had a ball come back at me like that. On the women's game, she is only about 36-38 feet away from the plate when she let's go of the ball.
  7. Could it be any worse than watching the Bills all season?
  8. What do you mean by range of motion. Bending? Or side to side, which I am not sure how to describe.
  9. I used to do the same thing when my kids were small. When I am home now I still sometimes do this. There is an issue in parking lots. I am very paranoid about backing up in parking lots. A few years ago, as I was putting the groceries in the trunk, I saw a lady pull in a couple of of slots over. When I got in the car I was glanced in the side mirror and I could see one of her kids run behind me. Other than that I would have never known he was there. I waited for her to eventually walk by and go into the store. Now if anyone is pulling in, with or without kids I tend to wait until I know they are gone. Probably still not enough. I should probably do the same as you and just get out and check.
  10. For all we know, Rex had the final word in the last two drafts and Marone before that. So I guess we may be picking on the wrong guy.
  11. I'll see your Keith Richards and raise you one Ginger Baker.
  12. More that 50 years ago but I still find this hard to believe. I mean did it ever work even once? On top of that there was even a Mead involved! http://gizmodo.com/blowing-smoke-up-your-ass-used-to-be-literal-1578620709
  13. There is no hockey like Stanley Cup hockey. Don't know which teams I like but I know a few I don't like.
  14. I am surprised no one mentioned this but what about the individual that graduated this year with a huge loan amount. Sorry, you don't qualify, no lotto win for you. Or for that matter any of the previous years.
  15. The fine prints fails to tell you only 1 in 20 can get a job in NY.
  16. This is rather amusing. Someone with the name FireChan would be willing to keep Rex. Oh well, we all go off the rails once in a while.
  17. I think you are confused. This is the kind of thing Facebook is for.
  18. Actually, it is the Star Wars plot set back in time instead of the future.
  19. That happens when you mix Cowgirls and Bullpens!
  20. Thanks for pointing this out. If you go to their site it looks like you have to do there and back separately but the totals are cheaper. I browse slickdeals often and thought this would be of interest to Bills fans. I see one way flights as cheap as $119 at the moment (depends on the day of the week and the month). To me the direct flight thing is a big deal. I hate connecting flights.
  21. Good for someone who may want to go to a Bills game. https://slickdeals.net/f/10023024-buffalo-ny-to-los-angeles-or-vice-versa-250-rt-on-jetblue-airways-travel-sept-oct-nonstop
  22. I finally installed Acestreams. I never saw what device you are using but I am using a Firebox. In the end I had to download Acestreams on my computer, put it on a stick and install it to the firebox from the USB stick. It is not installed under Kodi but it is installed as an app. I have to make sure I run Acestreams before I go to Kodi. If you don't start acestreams before going into Kodi, you get the old warning and nothing. So it looks like you need Plexus and Acestreams. So I no longer get the acesteams not there warning. If a stream is out there it works pretty good. Lots on NBA games and Soccer. I tried a lot of sites which said they had NHL games but only two actually let me watch NHL games. Can't remember which two. I also have a firestick. Not sure how I get the program loaded on the firestick to install. A lot of Youtube install video's brush over getting it. Never found a decent one for direct install into the firebox.
  23. I'm confused. I thought he was gone. Of course I still haven't seen that he signed. http://www.armchairallamericans.com/tyler-lydon-says-farewell-syracuse-hello-nba/
  24. Since I assume all the posters here are baseball fans, if you don't already, go to MLB and sign up for beat the streak. I haven't enjoyed baseball this much since I was a kid. The object of the game is to pick 0, 1 or 2 players a day, trying to get a streak which beats Dimaggio's. No penalty for not playing, so if you miss a night, a week or a month, you just don't get any at bats. Also I know more about other teams than I have since the 60's. They also report BA. You would think it is easy to hit .300 under those conditions. It is not. I am also a Dodger fan and don't really follow the AL, but after the series last year I think I will adopt Cleveland as an AL team. I think it works out pretty well in that Buffalo is a subset of Cleveland or maybe Cleveland is a subset of Buffalo. You get the point.
  25. I wear a fitbit HR and enjoy seeing what my heart rate is doing with a variety of activities. Typically when I sleep by heart rate is somewhere between 50-60. There are times it is higher but those are unusual. I recently spent two weeks at my sisters who lives in Colorado at 8000 feet. My heart rate while sleeping was typically between 70-80. A few time as low as 65 but not for long. I bring this up because you listed Denver and Vail. That thin air really makes a difference. Would be interesting to know if the CPAP helps that. It would be nice if there was a cheap home device that monitored oxygen blood level all night which allowed you to review what was going on all night on a nightly basis.
