Any "Cord Cutters" here? I need your help!
Greybeard replied to Guffalo's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Thanks to all for this info. I have used Kodi for 3 years but I have not heard of Mobdro, so I will have to try that. If you haven't loaded it you should try "Bob." Some folks left Phoenix and started Bob. Between Bob and Exodus I don't use much else. If it is listed as a program, the odds are high it is actually there. Check out Blues Place. Also, when the Bills are not on locally, Syracuse, I have not had any luck finding the games on any Kodi channel. Once I managed to get the game in Spanish but the video was terrible. Anyone have any luck with this and if so, what channel. -
What are your top 5 tv shows of all time ?
Greybeard replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Late to the discussion but.. Seinfeld Larry Sanders show, have to say HBO really knows how to cast, which is true for most of their shows. Game of Thrones Law and Order, do all female lawyers look like this? Connections In the late 70's I used to say this was the best show I have ever seen on Television. It aired on PBS. It was what Discovery type channels were meant to be. If you are a technical person, you should definitiey watch this. -
Calling Ernie Davis a bad pick is beyond my comprehension. That was also during the AFL-NFL draft wars, so you can't put anyone on the list who happened to go to the NFL. I am not sure it was mentioned but there was a running back from Penn State that could never play due to health reasons. I still wouldn't call him a bust.

I think this is a good move for Hopkins. Gives him time to establish himself out of JB's shadow. The pressure to win is going to be great after Boeheim. Never follow a legend. It won't be easy for anyone who comes next.

If the Bills had picked Marino, the team would have been entirely different in the 90's. One of the best things Kelly did for the Bills was not play for them right from the start. This allowed the Bills to suck really bad and collect some really high draft picks, which really helped all through those super bowl years. They didn't have to try to tank, they were naturally bad. If Kelly would have come to Buffalo when first drafted, they would have been mediocre those first few years and IMO would have never made it to a super bowl.

Patulski was a beast in college. I would bet half the teams in the league, if they had the first pick in the draft would have picked him. It wasn't the most productive draft overall. Look at the list of Heisman candidate and how many had good careers. We should have picked one of these guys for QB at the time. 1st—Pat Sullivan, Auburn, Sr., QB, 1,597 Points 2nd—Ed Marinaro, Cornell, Sr., RB, 1,445 Points 3rd—Greg Pruitt, Oklahoma, Jr., RB, 586 Points 4th—Johnny Musso, Alabama, Sr., RB, 365 Points 5th—Lydell Mitchell, Penn State, Sr., RB, 251 Points 6th—Jack Mildren, Oklahoma, Sr., QB, 208 Points 7th—Jerry Tagge, Nebraska, Sr., QB, 168 Points 8th—Chuck Ealey, Toledo, Sr., QB, 137 Points 9th—Walt Patulski, Notre Dame, Sr., DE, 121 Points 10th—Eric Allen, Michigan State, Sr., RB, 109 Points

When these two were together you couldn't call it a sports talk show. It was a sports yell show. They must have thought the loudest guy wins. I would have bet big money both of them would have been unemployed after that. Go figure. When Cowherd had the Sunday morning NFL show, I really liked the segment where he had the guys picking the winners and they would go through and explain, in part, the Vegas line. I don't know the names of the guys doing the picking but they were low key and informative.

I believe you are correct. Back wen Nolan Ryan was nearing the end of his career I remember reading an article on how freakish he was. In order to throw at the velocity he did, the tendons in his arm had to be flexible. Typically players his age would have lost elasticity and therefore would have lost velocity. This did not happen to him, or at least they did not stiffen as much as what is typical. Brady probably falls into the same category.

My prayers are with you. -
Congrats on the work you did. Nice presentation. I had the Bills with 5 wins going into the season, so they really outperformed my expectations.

Kelly "Best QB ever for the Bills"/ Who is number 2?
Greybeard replied to HT02's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No and I don't remember him doing that. -

I used to pitch fastpitch softball. There were times when someone may have homered and at the end of the inning I walked off looking down. There were times I didn't look down. In either case I was analyzing what I had done wrong. Wrong location, didn't execute spin, wrong pitch to the wrong guy. How did anyone ever know Fergy wasn't doing the same thing. So I never did understand why this was taken against him. Probably all started with a sports writer. -

Unfortunately you saw him when he was already well downhill. Your father and Uncle were correct. Watching him was so very painful when you familiar with the earlier teams. Even Kelly had trouble with the sideline passes at the end. -

Totally agree with this. The guy was underrated because he happen to look down while walking off the field. -

The Kemp of the championship teams was the team leader and game manager. He was a decent passer. He was good enough to direct those teams to conference championships. The Kemp of the late 60's lost his arm strength and could not throw a sideline pass. Unfortunately, he kept trying. I used to say he was excellent at isolating the linebacker, for the interception. As bad as he was at that point and as much as I hated him then, you still have to give him credit for those previous years. -
St Doug officially head coach in Jax.

Can you really use Doug and plan in the same sentence? -

Nice of you to mention the two misses by Kraft. Can you imagine if those two were hired and let go here, for a guy that failed in Clevelend, hpw ,much bitchen there would be. I disagree on the last line though. If the next coach only goes one or two years, the Bills will look even more like a place not to coach. That sort of puts a bit more pressure on this decision. -
Coach search has come (again) who is the best fit?

I remember when Greg Williams was "impressive." -
Make that 40 years and name one!

You're Pegula, how much do you offer Belichick.
Greybeard replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would put money on having Belichick here would be the equivalent of having Scotty Bowman in Buffalo. How did that work out? -
Maybe not but at least it is a start. How often do you actually get this much?
