Anyone Have Cardiovascular Issues?
Greybeard replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That's a great tip and a great price. Sure beats cardiac catheterization. Was that price after insurance payed or was that the exact price to get the procedure done? -
Anyone Have Cardiovascular Issues?
Greybeard replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I had a bypass 7 years ago. I think it is tough, though not impossible to beat family history. My cholesterol was very high when I was in my 40's. Was on medicine at the time. If it comes to it, do not ignore chest pains. I probably went at least 5 years clogged up but lucked out by not having a heart attack. -
In the 60's there was a story of picking up Houston TV in Western NY during the early morning hours. This was in the 3 channel days and the picture was very snowy. I bet the zebra mussels in the Great Lakes cycle the water faster than any of those numbers.

If you like Rundgren then check out the first Nazz album. It is always interesting how an artist can put out a song which doesn't go anywhere and then years later release it and it becomes popular.

Looks like Psych is an unplayable stream. If I do a search for something, I think Exodus is better but if I look through the available list I still think Bob/Blue is better. I looked at acestreams and it says at the top of the display it will require Plexus to watch those links. Did you install Plexus? I have not and am not in the mood at the moment but there are other sports options. The condensed NHL playbacks looked good. Will have to try the live NHL games at night. -
I assume he was saying it was mutton.

This may be a better story told than written but I will try anyway. In the late 70's I was working at an IBM plant in France. They had a huge cafeteria which had one or two features of the day plus some other things you could order. I typically ordered steak every day. There were some people from our French division also working with me starting up the machine I was working on and I would sit with them. One of them was a big guy who would have qualified as a biker. So one day I walk into the cafeteria and there was a really nice smell. I could see that they were serving some meat on a stick, with some vegetables. So I passed on the steak and went with whatever it was on the stick. When I got to the table the big guy was sitting across from me and as I was preparing to eat I noticed he seemed to be watching me. Now I am not a very adventurous eater, so I cut off a piece of meat about the size of a pea and stuck it in my mouth. As I looked up, with not the most pleasant facial expression, all the guy said in English was "it's not young lamb". I guess he suspected I wasn't going to like it. I have never tasted anything so overpowering. Years later I could still taste that pea sized bite whenever I got sick. It was steak ever after.

Changes coming to Bills front office?
Greybeard replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As far as I can remember the first one was Parker. But you are correct, as soon as one is gone they gravitate to the next. No dead time. -
Based on your list I watched Memento last night. Definitely a different movie. I will have to watch it again.

1} Doctor Strangelove 2) Monty Python and the Holy Grail 3) The Outlaw Josie Wales, can make my list on dialog alone 4) The Godfather 5) Dr Zhivago, best movie on cinematography I see Goodfella's on a lot of lists and it is very good. I only comment on it because it has totally stolen the long ending on Layla. Can't hear that on the radio without seeing those involved with the airport robbery meeting their demise.

There were only two games I tried to find. When Fox is covering the game instead of CBS and the Giants are on at the same time, there is no Bills coverage in Syracuse. So during both those games, I did an internet search for possible channels for NFL games and tried those, some in Sportsdevil, some not. Must have tried over 30 different channels with no luck. Glad to hear you enjoyed Connections. There is actually a Connections 2 and a Connections 3. I haven't watched the two newer ones because when I get the urge I am happy to go re-watch the original. If /dev/null means your a programmer, I assume you especially enjoyed the episode where he goes from self playing pianos, to programmed patterns on looms, to Ellis Island to IBM punch cards. -

It is a Kodi channel. So you have to install it under Kodi. I am not sure if it is better to go to youtube and watch and install or go just to a google search and follow text. I just tried to install Mobdro under Kodi using one of the links above and my version of Kodi was different enough to get me lost. Ended up installing it as APP. Sorting through what you can do with it now. -

Thanks to all for this info. I have used Kodi for 3 years but I have not heard of Mobdro, so I will have to try that. If you haven't loaded it you should try "Bob." Some folks left Phoenix and started Bob. Between Bob and Exodus I don't use much else. If it is listed as a program, the odds are high it is actually there. Check out Blues Place. Also, when the Bills are not on locally, Syracuse, I have not had any luck finding the games on any Kodi channel. Once I managed to get the game in Spanish but the video was terrible. Anyone have any luck with this and if so, what channel. -

Late to the discussion but.. Seinfeld Larry Sanders show, have to say HBO really knows how to cast, which is true for most of their shows. Game of Thrones Law and Order, do all female lawyers look like this? Connections In the late 70's I used to say this was the best show I have ever seen on Television. It aired on PBS. It was what Discovery type channels were meant to be. If you are a technical person, you should definitiey watch this. -
Calling Ernie Davis a bad pick is beyond my comprehension. That was also during the AFL-NFL draft wars, so you can't put anyone on the list who happened to go to the NFL. I am not sure it was mentioned but there was a running back from Penn State that could never play due to health reasons. I still wouldn't call him a bust.

I think this is a good move for Hopkins. Gives him time to establish himself out of JB's shadow. The pressure to win is going to be great after Boeheim. Never follow a legend. It won't be easy for anyone who comes next.

If the Bills had picked Marino, the team would have been entirely different in the 90's. One of the best things Kelly did for the Bills was not play for them right from the start. This allowed the Bills to suck really bad and collect some really high draft picks, which really helped all through those super bowl years. They didn't have to try to tank, they were naturally bad. If Kelly would have come to Buffalo when first drafted, they would have been mediocre those first few years and IMO would have never made it to a super bowl.

Patulski was a beast in college. I would bet half the teams in the league, if they had the first pick in the draft would have picked him. It wasn't the most productive draft overall. Look at the list of Heisman candidate and how many had good careers. We should have picked one of these guys for QB at the time. 1st—Pat Sullivan, Auburn, Sr., QB, 1,597 Points 2nd—Ed Marinaro, Cornell, Sr., RB, 1,445 Points 3rd—Greg Pruitt, Oklahoma, Jr., RB, 586 Points 4th—Johnny Musso, Alabama, Sr., RB, 365 Points 5th—Lydell Mitchell, Penn State, Sr., RB, 251 Points 6th—Jack Mildren, Oklahoma, Sr., QB, 208 Points 7th—Jerry Tagge, Nebraska, Sr., QB, 168 Points 8th—Chuck Ealey, Toledo, Sr., QB, 137 Points 9th—Walt Patulski, Notre Dame, Sr., DE, 121 Points 10th—Eric Allen, Michigan State, Sr., RB, 109 Points
