Cheap fares LA to Buffalo and Buffalo to LA in Sept/Oct
Greybeard replied to Greybeard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for pointing this out. If you go to their site it looks like you have to do there and back separately but the totals are cheaper. I browse slickdeals often and thought this would be of interest to Bills fans. I see one way flights as cheap as $119 at the moment (depends on the day of the week and the month). To me the direct flight thing is a big deal. I hate connecting flights. -

I finally installed Acestreams. I never saw what device you are using but I am using a Firebox. In the end I had to download Acestreams on my computer, put it on a stick and install it to the firebox from the USB stick. It is not installed under Kodi but it is installed as an app. I have to make sure I run Acestreams before I go to Kodi. If you don't start acestreams before going into Kodi, you get the old warning and nothing. So it looks like you need Plexus and Acestreams. So I no longer get the acesteams not there warning. If a stream is out there it works pretty good. Lots on NBA games and Soccer. I tried a lot of sites which said they had NHL games but only two actually let me watch NHL games. Can't remember which two. I also have a firestick. Not sure how I get the program loaded on the firestick to install. A lot of Youtube install video's brush over getting it. Never found a decent one for direct install into the firebox. -
I'm confused. I thought he was gone. Of course I still haven't seen that he signed. http://www.armchairallamericans.com/tyler-lydon-says-farewell-syracuse-hello-nba/

Since I assume all the posters here are baseball fans, if you don't already, go to MLB and sign up for beat the streak. I haven't enjoyed baseball this much since I was a kid. The object of the game is to pick 0, 1 or 2 players a day, trying to get a streak which beats Dimaggio's. No penalty for not playing, so if you miss a night, a week or a month, you just don't get any at bats. Also I know more about other teams than I have since the 60's. They also report BA. You would think it is easy to hit .300 under those conditions. It is not. I am also a Dodger fan and don't really follow the AL, but after the series last year I think I will adopt Cleveland as an AL team. I think it works out pretty well in that Buffalo is a subset of Cleveland or maybe Cleveland is a subset of Buffalo. You get the point.

Anyone Have Cardiovascular Issues?
Greybeard replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I wear a fitbit HR and enjoy seeing what my heart rate is doing with a variety of activities. Typically when I sleep by heart rate is somewhere between 50-60. There are times it is higher but those are unusual. I recently spent two weeks at my sisters who lives in Colorado at 8000 feet. My heart rate while sleeping was typically between 70-80. A few time as low as 65 but not for long. I bring this up because you listed Denver and Vail. That thin air really makes a difference. Would be interesting to know if the CPAP helps that. It would be nice if there was a cheap home device that monitored oxygen blood level all night which allowed you to review what was going on all night on a nightly basis. -

That's a great tip and a great price. Sure beats cardiac catheterization. Was that price after insurance payed or was that the exact price to get the procedure done? -

I had a bypass 7 years ago. I think it is tough, though not impossible to beat family history. My cholesterol was very high when I was in my 40's. Was on medicine at the time. If it comes to it, do not ignore chest pains. I probably went at least 5 years clogged up but lucked out by not having a heart attack. -
In the 60's there was a story of picking up Houston TV in Western NY during the early morning hours. This was in the 3 channel days and the picture was very snowy. I bet the zebra mussels in the Great Lakes cycle the water faster than any of those numbers.

If you like Rundgren then check out the first Nazz album. It is always interesting how an artist can put out a song which doesn't go anywhere and then years later release it and it becomes popular.

I went into their music TV area after and they had some links at the very bottom with acestreams. They gave the same message. I will have to see if I can install plexus this weekend. -

Looks like Psych is an unplayable stream. If I do a search for something, I think Exodus is better but if I look through the available list I still think Bob/Blue is better. I looked at acestreams and it says at the top of the display it will require Plexus to watch those links. Did you install Plexus? I have not and am not in the mood at the moment but there are other sports options. The condensed NHL playbacks looked good. Will have to try the live NHL games at night. -
I assume he was saying it was mutton.

This may be a better story told than written but I will try anyway. In the late 70's I was working at an IBM plant in France. They had a huge cafeteria which had one or two features of the day plus some other things you could order. I typically ordered steak every day. There were some people from our French division also working with me starting up the machine I was working on and I would sit with them. One of them was a big guy who would have qualified as a biker. So one day I walk into the cafeteria and there was a really nice smell. I could see that they were serving some meat on a stick, with some vegetables. So I passed on the steak and went with whatever it was on the stick. When I got to the table the big guy was sitting across from me and as I was preparing to eat I noticed he seemed to be watching me. Now I am not a very adventurous eater, so I cut off a piece of meat about the size of a pea and stuck it in my mouth. As I looked up, with not the most pleasant facial expression, all the guy said in English was "it's not young lamb". I guess he suspected I wasn't going to like it. I have never tasted anything so overpowering. Years later I could still taste that pea sized bite whenever I got sick. It was steak ever after.

Changes coming to Bills front office?
Greybeard replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As far as I can remember the first one was Parker. But you are correct, as soon as one is gone they gravitate to the next. No dead time. -
Based on your list I watched Memento last night. Definitely a different movie. I will have to watch it again.

1} Doctor Strangelove 2) Monty Python and the Holy Grail 3) The Outlaw Josie Wales, can make my list on dialog alone 4) The Godfather 5) Dr Zhivago, best movie on cinematography I see Goodfella's on a lot of lists and it is very good. I only comment on it because it has totally stolen the long ending on Layla. Can't hear that on the radio without seeing those involved with the airport robbery meeting their demise.

There were only two games I tried to find. When Fox is covering the game instead of CBS and the Giants are on at the same time, there is no Bills coverage in Syracuse. So during both those games, I did an internet search for possible channels for NFL games and tried those, some in Sportsdevil, some not. Must have tried over 30 different channels with no luck. Glad to hear you enjoyed Connections. There is actually a Connections 2 and a Connections 3. I haven't watched the two newer ones because when I get the urge I am happy to go re-watch the original. If /dev/null means your a programmer, I assume you especially enjoyed the episode where he goes from self playing pianos, to programmed patterns on looms, to Ellis Island to IBM punch cards. -

It is a Kodi channel. So you have to install it under Kodi. I am not sure if it is better to go to youtube and watch and install or go just to a google search and follow text. I just tried to install Mobdro under Kodi using one of the links above and my version of Kodi was different enough to get me lost. Ended up installing it as APP. Sorting through what you can do with it now.
