  1. Remember OJ's first couple of years when it took max effort just to get back to the line. Well, Saban fixed that. Unfortunately for Berry Sander, the Lions never really did. I'd still vote Sanders as the most elusive RB ever. To all those that made comments about RB's having to catch the ball in today's NFL, that was Rauch's plan with OJ. Can't say I liked Rauch very much. Also, I am not saying it was OJ's fault that plan never worked out. The early OJ teams may have been the worse ever. Excuse me, the teams just before OJ get that honor.
  2. I wouldn't say losing your head was working out.
  3. They figured out a couple of the Bills defenders were afraid to tackle. I have never seen so many almost tackles than in those games.
  4. Well he is a lot more famous today. Or is that infamous?
  5. I bought a pair of Bose QC15's during the winter and they do a great job at noise canceling. Can't beat Bose for that. Started to use them when I used the snowblower, no music just to deaden the sound. Now I use them to cut the lawn with an MP3 player, still does a great job on killing the mower noise. The sound doesn't compare with other headphones I have but these are special purpose. I used to be a Sennheiser guy. 10-15 years ago they had a PX100 (open design) and a PX 200 (closed design) which could be had from $20 to $30. A steel at that price. I think they redesigned as a newer pair of the PX200's never sounded as good as the originals. I also have two other pairs of Sennheiser which are more expensive, slightly better sound. I have a pair of Sony MDR-7506's which have become my choice for listening for the past two years.
  6. You figured right. Great link, thank you so much. Earlier I said the original post was the greatest post ever, for me, this is the greatest thread ever. After the mid 60's, we had to live through the late 60, most of the 70's and 80;s. I always wished they would just do a game by game weekly series of replays of those mid-60 years. I still think it would draw a lot of viewers in Buffalo.
  7. They should have listed were each of them were. Have to wonder what someone was thinking when they came up with a couple of those and usually there is more than one person involved in agreeing what to put there.
  8. Not to go into a different direction but it is unusual that someone mentions two things that are within my life's experience. My grandfather had a barber shop on Highland Ave. I am guessing from the 1930's until the 1960's. That was a nice Italian part of town back then. Don't know how well you know the old area but it was a block before the Italian grocery store that eventually turned into Tops. Same family anyway. So a couple of years back I was driving down 104 with my wife going to the one of the hotels that overlook the falls on the Canadian side and I am following the GPS. I look up at it and it says somewhere ahead is Highland Ave. So I thought it would be nice to see what it looked like. Holy Crap. Two in the afternoon and I didn't feel safe. Most of the buildings gone and those that were still there were in terrible shape. Couldn't recognize anything that looked like it was my Grandfather's place. So where did you sail? I used to sail on the upper Niagara in the 60's.
  9. The difference between Roethlisberger and Fitz is in their arm. Fitz doesn't have the arm to get the ball where he has to as quick as he has to. For that matter Kelly used to take risks all the time. But he had the arm to pull it off most of the time. Interesting. I had to come back an edit this because a few posts after the post I responded to, you were saying the same thing I said here.
  10. Greatest post ever. A bunch of average looking guys playing. Check out 10:15 McDole gets clipped on a high/low hit, immediately gets up and chases the QB. He was all over the field that day.
  11. "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink." Very applicable to professional athletes. Also works for the educational system. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
  12. NCAA = Olympic Committee = FIFA The common thread in these three is the issue.
  13. We had an antenna like the one pictured on a rotor. The main purpose of our rotor was Hockey Night in Canada. Glued to the TV every Wed and Sat night, could even make a quick bathroom run during the game because if you missed something, you missed it. No replay put a lot of strain on the bladder. I just now remembered when if first started to be implemented, you could only get a replay during the period breaks or after the game. So I am thinking the first delayed replays came somewhere around 65-67.
  14. I liked the smell they gave off after you ran them for a while.
  15. Back then, McDole's success in Wash showed just how good the Bills defense was in the mid-60's. I still wish the Bills would have managed one trip to the early Super Bowls.
  16. I bet that duck was made from plastic because paperboard is just too expensive!
  17. I have never watched "Breaking Bad." But if it is anything like this I will have to check it out.
  18. So many here were watching this show, I thought I would give it a try today. Not many shows can hook you on Season 1 Episode 1.

  20. Back a few years ago my son convinced me we should try mining. He put together a rig with 3 GPU's. He also joined a mining group figuring it would increase the odds of success. As it turns out he actually "struck gold" as our rig solved a chain. I can't remember what our net take was but he still has the Litecoin. I can understand how you heated your house with it. Our rig heated at least two rooms. If I remember correctly, the electric bill went up about $80-$100 a month. So I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind. Did you join a group or do you do it as an individual? If as an individual, how often do you solve for coins? If you heat the house in the winter, what do you do in the summer? I may have missed it but are you mining for Litecoin or for Bitcoin? If you are mining Litecoin, do you cash it in immediately or hold for speculation? Thanks for the info. I may be willing to take another shot at it.
  21. Can I step back in time and say "Freddies." They were a rare treat when I was a kid. Just too far away. Anyone know what has happened to that location?
  22. I am not sure I follow the logic in this. The only thing I can figure is it has Fruits and Nuts in it. I know if I get suet with Fruit and Nuts the birds love it, and since in the UK women are called birds, which are basically chicks this is basically meant for chicks.
  23. Wow, how did you get those choices from my post?
  24. Your children are only young once. And from experience, when you go from a 19 minute drive to a 45+ minute drive, it is going to seem a lot more than that.
