  1. I think thieves count on the fact you can't do that legally.
  2. You mean you didn't sneak into the kitchen, grab a slice of bread and start dipping!?
  3. If your going to go with Gretzky, I could say Babe Ruth matches up rather well. Ruth dominated his peers like no other. I''m with Hammersticks on this one, the first two that came to mind were Thorpe and Jackson.
  4. For some subjects the reverse is true.
  5. That's because you aren't a grandma. In my family it is the meatballs. No one seems to be able to duplicate my grandmother's. Happiness was a day at school when lunch was a meatball sandwich. Until now I had forgotten the experience.
  6. I have had no luck with getting Bills games with this. Spent hours going through the channels. Once I was lucky enough to find a channel but it was terrible. Lost 5 seconds chunks of video every minute. And the video wasn't even VCR level. Are you using a VPN? I haven't tried that yet. And what is your success rate? I'm in the Syracuse TV market so I get most games anyway but a couple of games were on the wrong network at the wrong time.
  7. My error. I thought it was about Canadian TV in general from Ontario, not a specific Channel.
  8. Get a free copy of WIFI Analyser. It will show the strength of your signal and the channel. It will also show you every other channel your computer can see, which is interesting and informative. Then if you want to change the channel your on, log into your router and chose the channel you desire. I have read it is good to stay on 1, 6 or 11. There are others available but they tend to interfere with each other. If your neighbors have the 1, 6 or 11 it is not as bad as others having a number close to you but not the exact number. The router was designed to handle other router signals on the same channel. At least that is what I have read. Here is a link to where I found the above info. https://forums.att.com/t5/AT-T-Internet-Installation/Slow-Wifi-Searched-through-the-posts-here-still-looking-for-help/td-p/4062522
  9. Other than Hockey Night in Canada, I can only remember the name of one other show, "Live It Up." Although I also remember a "60 MInutes" type show. One of the reporters from that show eventually ended up on "60 Minutes" for a short time.
  10. When I saw Dvorak in your first post, I thought to myself that I really liked something that he did but I couldn't remember the name. It was the Symphony for the New World, so thanks for the reminder. On your Chopin note, I agree, also very good. I use to be able to play Fantasie Imprompto and Polonaise by memory on the families Wurlitzer organ. Unfortunately, those brain cells are long gone. Also I find it very difficult to play on a single modern keyboard when the Wurlitzer had an upper and a lower.
  11. Since Kodi users are sometimes cord cutters, I thought this might be useful. Certainly is interesting. Shows Channels and signal strength in your area. It was posted at slick deals in an antenna thread. http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29
  12. A little while before they went dark, TVAddons, which I used to install kodi on my Firebox, was running script on the Kodi main screen page which said the format which many video's were in was something different than it used to be and you had to upgrade to Kodi V17.1 to support it. I have been too busy (lazy) to upgrade my system but that may be the issue some are having. I have noticed a few of Bob's links say the video is not playable. I still recommend the Bob channel. Until recently it always had a high success rate when trying to watch something.
  13. Maybe they were from Dorne.
  14. Back in the 70's, my parents bought "120 Classical Masterpieces" which was great for finding unknown to me composers. I have always been partial to violins, so among my favorites are The Moldau and the Bartered Bride by Smetana. The entire composition of Peer Gynt by Grieg is real good. Tchaikovsky has quite a few popular works but my favorite would be "Marche Slave." I consider the William Tell Overture the best piece of music ever written. I haven't been on a Classical binge in quite a while. I think you just triggered one. Also for those who watched TV in the 70's, here is a link to the commercial for "120 Classical Masterpieces." I think on early cable it ran once every 15 minutes.
  15. Thanks. Is there something special about 68? Before this I had 10 emails in my inbox. 6 of them were Happy Birthday wishes from Mead over the years. Just Jack is also celebrating today. Of course he is just a young'n.
  16. To be fair to Cosby, he didn't have that much time to prepare his act. He was into a few time consuming things.
  17. He was the guy who proved to me that it takes more than strength to play in the NFL. I bought into the hype.
  18. I've noticed they have a tendancy to want to talk to you from about 3" away. All the years growing up in WNY I never recall anyone ever doing that.
  19. When you play a 16 game schedule the importance of every game is amplified. It is harder to float. Lots of floating in the NHL and NBA regulart season. Maybe you don't notice it but it is there. Guaranteed contract, don't feel like playing, Ask Mario how that incentive works.
  20. Remember OJ's first couple of years when it took max effort just to get back to the line. Well, Saban fixed that. Unfortunately for Berry Sander, the Lions never really did. I'd still vote Sanders as the most elusive RB ever. To all those that made comments about RB's having to catch the ball in today's NFL, that was Rauch's plan with OJ. Can't say I liked Rauch very much. Also, I am not saying it was OJ's fault that plan never worked out. The early OJ teams may have been the worse ever. Excuse me, the teams just before OJ get that honor.
  21. I wouldn't say losing your head was working out.
  22. They figured out a couple of the Bills defenders were afraid to tackle. I have never seen so many almost tackles than in those games.
  23. Well he is a lot more famous today. Or is that infamous?
  24. I bought a pair of Bose QC15's during the winter and they do a great job at noise canceling. Can't beat Bose for that. Started to use them when I used the snowblower, no music just to deaden the sound. Now I use them to cut the lawn with an MP3 player, still does a great job on killing the mower noise. The sound doesn't compare with other headphones I have but these are special purpose. I used to be a Sennheiser guy. 10-15 years ago they had a PX100 (open design) and a PX 200 (closed design) which could be had from $20 to $30. A steel at that price. I think they redesigned as a newer pair of the PX200's never sounded as good as the originals. I also have two other pairs of Sennheiser which are more expensive, slightly better sound. I have a pair of Sony MDR-7506's which have become my choice for listening for the past two years.
  25. You figured right. Great link, thank you so much. Earlier I said the original post was the greatest post ever, for me, this is the greatest thread ever. After the mid 60's, we had to live through the late 60, most of the 70's and 80;s. I always wished they would just do a game by game weekly series of replays of those mid-60 years. I still think it would draw a lot of viewers in Buffalo.
