  1. Yup 12 million was about right for his talent level and market. Usually Beane likes to get a bit of a discount but didn’t hear. It’s a good deal for both sides
  2. Yea I think its a possibility especially with Tabor and him having a prior relationship but I would put it at like 70/30 cut. I think it just makes sense to keep Shavers as the ST's WR on the roster especially since the Bills have invested the time in developing him over the last two years.
  3. My Post Week 1 53 Roster would be: QB: Josh Allen, Mitch Trubisky (2) RB: James Cook, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson (3) FB: Reggie Gilliam (1) WR: Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Josh Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers (6) TE: Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, Jackson Hawes (3) OL: Dion Dawkins, David Edwards, Connor McGovern, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Alec Anderson, Tylan Grable, Ryan Van DeMark, Chase Lundt (9) DE: Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, Javon Solomon, Landon Jackson (5) DT: Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, T.J. Sanders, Deone Walker, DeWayne Carter (5) LB: Matt Milano, Terrell Bernard, Dorian Williams, Joe Andreessen, Shaq Thompson (5) CB: Christian Benford, Max Hairston, Tre White, Dorian Strong, Taron Johnson, Brandon Codrington (6) S: Cole Bishop, Taylor Rapp, Damar Hamlin, Jordan Hancock, Cam Lewis (5) K: Bass (1) P: Robbins (1) LS: Ferguson (1) Season Ending IR: Sedrick Van Pran Suspension: Michael Hoecht, Larry Ogunjobi - I think it would just be easy to stash Van Pran on season ending IR and give him that extra year without having to use a roster spot on him. I think this is why they signed Dan Feeney to be the Will Clapp of this year to be the guy to go from the Practice Squad to the 53 when needed. If Van Pran is ready to go, I think that makes RVD a possibly trade candidate at cut down time. - I think when Hoecht and Ogunjobi come off of the Suspended list that there is a real possibility you see A.J Epenesa traded, and DaQuan Jones being released or coming down with an injury that essentially ends his football season. - My last guys to make the roster was Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers, and Shaq Thompson. I see Thompson as another option to be a guy who gets cut but lands on the Practice Squad as an insurance policy. I just dont know who right now would be that 5th LB. Need to see more before I move Thompson off this roster. I think as of right now both Moore and Shavers would make the team but I don't think either is a lock right now.
  4. I think things need to be looked at both ways. Cook realizes he’s a big part of the Bills offense and he is a big part of it. He also needs to realize that his role and schematic fit are also a big part of his success. I think the 11-12 million dollar AAV is fair for Cook. He’s a really good player in a really good situation for him. Is the extra 3 million over 3 years worth it to him to have less success? Only his people know that and Beane
  5. Yea, I said this about 3 times in the game thread as people were up in arms about things and I'm like the first game especially is essentially roll the ball out on the field and just play with the basic install and let players play with their instincts. Throw in the fact that most of the starters play only a handful of snaps and you get a mess of a ball game. I take nothing from the game except for how did individuals perform at the middle and bottom of the roster.
  6. If Lundt is good enough to make the team, then they are going to trade VandeMark. They had RVD at RT yesterday because that is his weak spot and I would say he held up only okay there. He is much more natural at Left Tackle but its extremely hard to make a team year after year when you can only play 1 out of 5 OL Positions. If Lundt can play both he'll make the team and RVD will be traded for another team that is desperate for O line help.
  7. Arrow Up: Chase Lundt- Thought he looked really solid in pass protection especially Jordan Hancock: Hancock looked like a guy who could contribute this year. Picked called back and was around the ball making plays in the run game Tyrell Shavers: Making a run at the 53 man roster. Caught the long bomb and got good separation on the slant. Throw in his STs play and he’s got a good shot to make it Deone Walker: Wasn't a huge fan of the pick but I’ll admit today he looked agile and made some plays Arrow Down: Tre White: Love Tre but he was rough today. No gameplan but he got toasted on the quick stuff today. Could just be a case of off coverage Mike White: I thought he was highly inaccurate today and Trubisky separated himself in the backup race. Jacob Bayer: Game in the balance, and you snap the ball 10 yards over the QBs head Eddie Ulofoshio: He’s in year 2 and he still looked completely lost out there. Might make the team but Special teams only
  8. Woof well your fired lol. I was just thinking how Caden Davis the new kicker might be crapping his pants if it came down to a GW and then the Center did that.
  9. Well Trubisky granted playing with the starters, has looked in a different league than Mike White today.
  10. Glab's voice is just grating on me. No injuries just because I don't want to hear her voice
  11. Dart has been pretty good early on. Yes he made a great throw there but I'm more impressed by the Bills getting pressure on him and him hanging in there and going through his progressions instead of panicking and taking off running.
  12. There is nothing to worry about. There is literally zero game planning for this game. Its just basically go out and play the game. I just like to see how the bottom of the roster guys go out and perform.
  13. I always said Caleb Williams was Kyler Murray when everyone was comparing him to Mahomes. Still early yet for him and he has the right coach now so we shall see
  14. Watched last night. Obviously enjoyed the watch because it’s the Bills and seeing how they interact but it wasn’t anything out of the box that provided unexpected insight. Usually the training camp Hard Knocks is the weakest. Love me some offseason Hard Knockd though. I think Beane would be awesome in that setting but the Bills like to keep things in house and close to the vest
  15. I think there is a good chance he gets picked up on waivers if he’s not seriously injured. Still young , on a cheap contract and has played meaningful snaps on Defense and especially STs. A bad football team would likely take a shot
  16. The season is over a month away. They are just being cautious with everyone for every nick they get. If this were week 2 of the preseason, and they is still two weeks out from the season opener, I might have a different take but we’re not there yet
  17. The Bills are in a prime position as it pertains to Cook. First Running backs have a short shelf life as we all know. Cook still on his rookie deal can’t afford to take fine at all whether that’s not reporting for camp or missing games etc. Sure he could fake an injury to protect himself but that won’t help him get top end RB money from the Bills or anyone else with a guy with one really good season. He needs to play and ball out to get the money he desires which will help the Bills make hopefully another deep run. The Bills also have the luxury after this year of franchising him and keeping Cook(very unhappily im sure) and making him play again on a 1 year deal, trading him , or buying time to get a long term deal done. Running back is also one of the cheapest tags amongst position groups. Cook is going to play this year and he’ll play his hardest to get what he desires. He’s sitting out practices , while reported , to avoid being fined and to show his unhappiness with the little leverage he has this year. Beane, McDermott, and Cook deep down knows
  18. My top 2 was LB and RB. Not saying that’s the direction I’d go in but they need to move on from Milano and if they’re not sold on Williams being the long term replacement that’s a very strong possibility. In addition if Cook is gone, Davis is capable imo but Beane loves drafting RBs and usually the best ones slip to end of round 1
  19. I don’t get worried about injuries this early. Teams are super cautious with guys and any little nick pretty much ends their day. It’s a long list for sure but wake me up in week 3 of preseason if a guy is still on the shelf
  20. Yup they have had a lot of talent and they have absolutely done squat with all of it. Maybe that will change this year for them.
  21. While I think your overreacting, I put him on the list because of his solid longevity. He’s been a Bill for 8 years. He most likely at minimum will be here for 10 years and has been a pro bowler 4 of those years(not that it means much nowadays) He’s probably honestly last on that list and will he probably seem like Kent Hull was when his career is over. I actually like McGee being mentioned again due to his longevity in the uniform. He’d probably be in the same tier as Dawkins in my opinion but I wouldn’t crush you or anyone else for mentioning him
  22. 1. Bruce Smith 2. Jim Kelly 3. Josh Allen 4. O.J Simpson 5. Andre Reed 6. Jack Kemp 7. Thurman Thomas I think these 7 have to be in everyone’s top 15 After that Joe D, Tasker, Kyle Williams, Eric Moulds, Cornelius Bennett, Fred Jackson, Daryl Talley, Billy Shaw, Reuben Brown, Cookie Gilchrist, Elbert Dubenion, Dion Dawkins, Kent Hull all have to be in consideration.
  23. I’d take the SB for that amount. Raise the stakes and I might change my mind
  24. Dude gets injured every year. Guy was a good LB back in the day and every time he gets hurt I’m like why is this guy still playing just retire. Maybe as a backup , you’ll get him through the season and he’d be a good spot starter. If he’s LB # 4 then cool it gets one of of the bottom 3 off the roster
