Yea I think WR(If Samuel or Moore) OL: Van DeMark and DT: Carter are all trade possibilities down the stretch. Obviously I also didn't include Hoecht or Ogunjobi because they are suspended but I suppose its possible they cut Ogunjobi as well.
-
Yup good call i'll add him.
-
QB: Allen, Trubisky RB: Cook, Davis, Johnson, Gore FB: Gilliam WR: Coleman, Shakir, Palmer, Samuel, Moore, Shaver, Cain, Wilkerson TE: Kincaid, Knox, Hawes, Davidson OL: Dawkins, Edwards, McGovern, Torrence, Brown, Anderson, Van DeMark, Lundt, Van Pran Granger, Grable DE: Bosa, Rousseau, Epenesa, Solomon, Jackson, Shand, Hoecht(Suspension) DT: Oliver, Jones, Walker, Sanders, Carter, Logue, Phillips, Harris????, Ogunjobi(Suspended) LB: Bernard, Milano, Williams, Andreessen, Thompson, Jenkins CB: Benford, Hairston, White, Johnson, Lewis, Ingram, Strong Safety: Rapp, Bishop, Hamlin, Hancock K: Bass P: Robbins LS: Ferguson PR: Codrington I still have 64 on the roster as it sits right now. So 11 more players to cut, IR etc.
-
It sucks for the guys on the bubble for sure but I think the worst is you make the initial 53 only to be a cut a day or two later for another guy. That would be soul crushing for me.
-
Milano, Bernard, Andreessen, Dorian Williams, Shaq Thompson is your 5 for now. I expect Thompson to make it.....for now
-
So guys who haven't been cut yet that everyone expects: RB: Frank Gore WR: Deon Cain, Kristian Wilkerson TE: Zach Davidson DE: Paris Shand DT: Jordan Phillips(PS), Zion Logue LB: Keonta Jenkins

That 2024 draft is a real dumpster fire. I'm talking in general just not the Bills draft which is below par as well. There were good players found but they were few and far between so far. I'll withhold going all in on it yet since its only year 2 but man thats an ugly draft so far.
-
Yea I agree for a lot of them its slim but a lot of times its just getting yourself some quick cash with the signing bonus and get a salary in training camp. Hoping that you can stick to the Practice Squad to keep getting a paycheck for a game instead of dealing with a real life job. If no longer good enough for the NFL hopefully their NFL tape can land them in the Spring leagues to get paid or up north. Your right though that the vast majority are fighting for a small niche job on the roster or one of the practice squad spots in the NFL. I think he can play it but its obvious that the Bills aren't very comfortable doing it. I believe that he did play a snap or two out there because a couple of tackles got dinged up in a game once if I recall correctly
-
I just think it makes sense to trade him for business purposes if you think Lundt can develop. You get Lundt on 4 years of cheap contract. Acquire a draft pick for RVD and avoid giving him the RFA tag that is like 3.5 million now in addition to the extra 3 years of team control you would get vs RVD. From a business perspective it makes sense to move him

Levi Wallace is in Buffalo (for lunch)

Bills adding former system guys to their PS for break the glass situations -
That is big news for Lundt in not a good way. Either that or they are trading RVD. Can’t see them keeping 10 this year. Big news though for IOL depth since I was a bit worried about that because Grable/RVD haven’t played it in the NFL and Lundy struggled there in Preseason
-
More than 7 some of these guys were let go before hand and others signed in their place with that said:
-
yea both Green and Feeney got cut so that likely means that either SVP is being activated or Lundt has made the 53 man initially
-
So far nothing too shocking Bills cut wise. Guess Dane Jackson would be it but he was horrendous and isn’t needed if Hairston/White is available 2nd round. Actually saw Moore play in HS and he was a QB. Not a bad player obviously but didn’t like blow my socks off. Thought he was a G5/FCS kid. Wasn’t until he got to a Western Michigan that I was like alright but he did have a lot of physical limitations for the NFL level so I’m not surprised he didn’t live up to his draft status
-
I’m looking at Pooh Paul and Chad Muma at LB from the Bills. Bills did work on both guys pretty extensively and Muma is from Wyoming so connection possibility. I’m still not sold on Thompson remaining on active roster
-
He got hurt in camp his rookie year then did some Special Teams work last year but he didn’t progress at all.
-
Stonehouse was a great UDFA pickup and a guy I really liked the year we drafted Araiza but he blew out his knee and hasn’t been the same since unfortunately
-
Yea I think that’s a good compromise between the two parties. He got an extra 14 mill to play this year and still gets to be free after the year. He’s not going to get a mega deal but he’s still young enough to get himself a nice 2 or 3 year deal worth 50-70 million. He’ll be alright unless he has a serious injury and then that case he banked another 14 million
-
I agree I’ve been saying the same thing. They find Spreights and signed Landman this offseason to be a starter. Had Troy Reeder brought back , then had Paul and Dolac. I’m not buying Paul got cut until I actually see the transaction but if he did I’m not sure he’ll get down to the Bills waiver spot anyways
-
If this is true, and I will say if, the Bills need to bring in Paul as LB # 5 and move Shaq Thompson to the PS

My Final 53 Man Roster.....Probably going to be completely wrong haha QB: Josh Allen, Mitchell Trubisky (2) RB: James Cook, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson (3) FB: Reggie Gilliam (1) WR: Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers (6) TE: Dalton Kincaid, Dalton Knox, Jackson Hawes (3) OL: Dion Dawkins, David Edwards, Connor McGovern, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Alec Anderson, Tyler Grable, Ryan Van DeMark, Kendrick Green (9) DE: Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, Javon Solomon, Landon Jackson (5) DT: Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, T.J. Sanders, Deone Walker, Jordan Phillips (5) LB: Matt Milano, Terell Bernard, Dorian Williams, Joe Andreessen, Shaq Thompson (5) CB: Christian Benford, Tre White, Taron Johnson, Dorian Strong, Cam Lewis, Dane Jackson, Jamarcus Ingram (7) SAF: Cole Bishop, Taylor Rapp, Jordan Hancock, Damar Hamlin (4) K: Tyler Bass, P: Brad Robbins LS: Ferguson (3) Short Term IR: Maxwell Hairston PUP: Sedrick Van Pran Granger Suspended: Larry Ogunjobi, Michael Hoecht Notes & Thoughts: - I wonder if the Bills can move Mike White. Highly unlikely but he has a really reasonable backup contract, starting experience in the NFL, and apparently the Raiders are looking for an experienced guy after O'Connell broke his hand. - I think the first "controversial" positions is WR. The top 3 we knows are set. I think Samuel makes it because of his contract situation. Shavers did enough this preseason and his special teams play gets him on the roster. I'd say that Moore is the most likely to be cut but I think the fact he was out at the half of the last preseason game means he is going to make the initial roster as well. The only thing I can see here besides Moore possibly not making it is carrying 5 WR's if a Samuel Trade comes about. I think that is highly unlikely though. There is also the possibility of Gabe Davis in the mirror as a possibility. Does he replace Samuel or Moore if he is signed. - Offensive Line is an interesting for a couple of reasons. I think the first 8 are set. Beyond that SVP goes to PUP. Will it be Chase Lundt or will it be Kendrick Green or Dan Feeney. Frankly, I would keep Lundt as number 9 and then I would keep both Green and Feeney as my PS IOL and call them up until SVP is ready to return to the roster while protecting Lundt. Not sure Lundt gets through to the Practice Squad but here I try Defensive Line: Well that was an interesting signing of Jordan Phillips. I think they want a little more insurance at the DT spot than having to rely on a 2nd year guy and two rookies. This could go a lot of different ways as they could trade DeWayne Carter, which I have them doing in this model, releasing DaQuan Jones, or letting Larry Ogunjobi go. Either way, Phillips goes to the 53, they trade Carter for a late draft pick, and Ogunjobi eventually replaces Phillips and they swap when Ogunjobi comes off the Suspended list. Linebacker: I think the top 4 is pretty set. Its the # 5 spot that has me curious. Do the Bills doe what everyone expects them to do and keep Shaq Thompson as Linebacker # 5. Do they stun everyone and keep the Army kid as #5 because of his special teams abilities? Or do they go out and sign another LB that is cut from another organization. I'm actually leaning towards number 3 and feel the Bills will sign someone who will eventually be the 5th LB while Ciarlo and Thompson head to the Practice Squad. Cornerback: This position is the one from the first that has changed quite a bit from the beginning. I thought no way that the Bills would have both Ingram and Lewis on this years 53 again but add in an injury or two from Hairston and the uncertainty of Tre White status. The Bills keep a variety of guys for various reason. Ingram makes it because of Special Teams, Lewis because of his versatility, Strong because of his youth, and Jackson stays because of insurance for now. Safety: Pretty cut and dry. I don't expect the Bills to add anyone here I'd like to see these guys added to the Practice Squad for sure if they can get them through waivers. Shane Buechele QB Frank Gore Jr. RB K.J Hamler WR Khristian Wilkerson WR Keleki Latu TE Chase Lundt OT Dan Feeney OG/OC Jimmy Ciarlo LB

I mean this signing is definitely either Carter getting traded or Daquan Jones retiring/getting cut
-
If Phillips is back, I’m fully expecting the Bills to trade Dewayne Carter . Probably won’t get much but the Bills might take their 6th rounder and deal with it
-
It is likely that Isaiah Likely is going to be out for the Ravens. That’s big for the Bills as well. Especially since the Bills will likely be down some secondary people
