  1. While I think your overreacting, I put him on the list because of his solid longevity. He’s been a Bill for 8 years. He most likely at minimum will be here for 10 years and has been a pro bowler 4 of those years(not that it means much nowadays) He’s probably honestly last on that list and will he probably seem like Kent Hull was when his career is over. I actually like McGee being mentioned again due to his longevity in the uniform. He’d probably be in the same tier as Dawkins in my opinion but I wouldn’t crush you or anyone else for mentioning him
  2. 1. Bruce Smith 2. Jim Kelly 3. Josh Allen 4. O.J Simpson 5. Andre Reed 6. Jack Kemp 7. Thurman Thomas I think these 7 have to be in everyone’s top 15 After that Joe D, Tasker, Kyle Williams, Eric Moulds, Cornelius Bennett, Fred Jackson, Daryl Talley, Billy Shaw, Reuben Brown, Cookie Gilchrist, Elbert Dubenion, Dion Dawkins, Kent Hull all have to be in consideration.
  3. I’d take the SB for that amount. Raise the stakes and I might change my mind
  4. Dude gets injured every year. Guy was a good LB back in the day and every time he gets hurt I’m like why is this guy still playing just retire. Maybe as a backup , you’ll get him through the season and he’d be a good spot starter. If he’s LB # 4 then cool it gets one of of the bottom 3 off the roster
  5. The answer is No. Dudes name crops up every single year or two and the Bills always pass . Disappointment on another team and rinse and repeat
  6. Yea I thought he was solid too but then they also benched him pretty much when the weather got messy
  7. I think this room is more straightforward than people think. You don’t invest the kind of capital the Bills put into DB just to keep the same guys. CBs: Benford, Hairston, Johnson, White, Strong S: Rapp, Bishop, Hancock These guys to me are locks pending injury. I think with the adds Dane Jackson is toast because he doesn’t provide STs. I think Ingram or Lewis is out depending on who is better at teams. The questions I have is who gets the last spot at Safety with Forrest /Hamlin. Will they keep Codrington or keep Shenault. Is either Lewis or Ingram valuable enough to keep on the 53 for Special teams only
  8. Good call just passed my brain, added him in and took Shavers out
  9. QB- Allen, Trubisky RB: Cook, Davis, Johnson FB: Gilliam WR: Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, Samuel, Moore TE: Kincaid, Knox, Hawes OL: Dawkins, Edwards, McGovern, Torrence, Brown, Anderson, Grable, SVP, Lundt Defense DE: Rousseau, Bosa, Solomon, Epenesa, Jackson DT: Jones,Walker, Oliver, Sanders, Carter LB: Milano, Bernard, Williams, Ulofoshio, Andreessen, Spector CB: Benford, Hairston, White, Strong, Ingram , Johnson S: Rapp, Bishop, Hancock, Forrest K: Bass P: Camarda LS: Ferguson PR: Shenault Suspended: Ogunjobi, Hoecht Trade Candidates: RVD, Epenesa, Jackson/Lewis, Codrington This is how I see it early on. Biggest battles are Lundt vs RVD, Shenault vs Codrington, Hamlin vs Forrest vs Ingram. I think this one really comes down to where they see Hancock initially. If they list him as a Nickle then Ingram is probably gone and they keep both Forrest and Hamlin. If Hancock is a safety, Ingram stays and Forrest / Hamlin are battling . I have both Shavers and Shenault making it but both would be at risk when Ogunjobi/Hoecht returns
  10. Visits don’t just get set up last second. Flights have to be booked unless the Pegula jet got him. I’m sure after the draft, Beane called to set up the visit on Saturday but he’s not going to let the cat out of the bag in a 8:30 radio segment on who’s visiting especially to two guys who took him to task
  11. Well it’s more than just that I get your what you’re saying though. They’re not going to not play Coleman as he’s a high draft pick and Samuel is going to be on the roster because his contract will dictate that. They paid Palmer solid # 3 money so Shavers opportunity is Moore and maybeeee Samuel
  12. The Bills play positionless at WR. When are people going to realize this. Guys aren’t Xs and Zs and Fs. They move guys around based on the packages they want to play.
  13. Well the guy this hurts the most is Shavers. Guy went from # 5 WR and STs ace to hoping that the Bills decide to keep 6 WRs for his ST ability
  14. He’s a lock because of his contract.
  15. Nope, anyone signed after the draft, no longer counts towards the formula unless apparently you use this seldom used tag The Bills will not get a comp pick unless Palmer and Hoecht do nothing for the Bills next year which we all hope doesn’t happen
  16. I think the general idea is he can save the Bills roster spots down the road. He can be TE3, FB(Gilliam), Andersons jumbo package role, and Special teams. If he can do all that and be cheap, that’s good cost effectiveness down the line
  17. I think the Falcons organization should be docked a pick as well next year. Maybe a 6th rounder
  18. The one thing I have noticed from Beane over the years is he is very determined to have a pick in every round. I knew somehow we’d end up with one. That trade clearly indicates how badly the Bills wanted TJ Sanders but they didn’t want him badly enough at the expense of both 2nd rounders without getting back that 3rd and 7th. I do believe that Beane was telling the truth about Jackson being the 62nd pick if they still had it but I am curious who they would have taken at 72 if he was off the board
  19. Im not at my computer but for the Bills specifically I would have had Hawes, Fidone, and Bartholemew at TE, Hancock and Longerbeam were there at NB, CB I would have to look , and I didn’t expect them to take a tackle so I was surprised when they went there. I will say though by the time Lundt went I was vouching for Tommy Mellott at WR so most of the play now WRs were already gone. To me they would have had to of taken one with the Hancock/Hawes pick and it wouldn’t have happened with Hancock because the Bills scouts , according to Beane, were pretty unanimous when it came to the Hancock selection. Really you have look at which WRs were left at the Hawes pick to determine was he more valuable than taking a developmental #5 WR who may play or be inactive
  20. I don’t think you can look at it in that isolation solely how much better is Hancock over Lewis. I think we need to look at the secondary in general with Hairston over Douglas, White over Elam, Hancock over Lewis, and Strong over Ingram/Jackson. I think you could argue there is a significance in all of that I think with the last 5 guys on that list you could argue there isn’t a difference at all. I think there is a gap between the top 2 and Prather but not as big as people perceived before the process
  21. It’s pretty straightforward, he has to beat out RVD. If it’s close I think they will keep Lundt over RVD for a couple reasons. Lundt will be on his rookie deal for 4 years while RVD is under control for two but year 2 is as a RFA which is starting to get pricey for a # 4 tackle. I think if Lundt beats him out they’ll try to move RVD for a late pick as he might have cheap value as a swing tackle for a more OL needy football team. If he doesn’t Lundt goes PS year 1 and takes over for RVD year two. The only downside is if Lundt gets claimed at some point by another team
  22. I’m a former player, HS Coach, and College recruiter and I am more than okay with my son not playing football. It does teach a lot of good qualities that I take with me to this day but a young kid especially playing tackle football to me is dumb and unnecessary which is why there is more flag football now but not all. The brain is still developing at a rapid rate at these ages and proper tackling, helmets hitting the ground hard is just an unnecessary risk. We all know of long term CTE but I wonder if there are milder effects for certain players on head injuries such as Anxiety and Depression. All things considered I’d rather my kid play sports that are less violent and be like his mom who is very book smart and introverted than me living vicariously through him
  23. Carter is moving to the 1T. Beane has pretty much already said so. I think your going to see them keep 10 DL at the beginning of the season as Ogunjobi and Hoecht don’t count against the 53 while suspended. Then after the 6 games are up don’t be surprised if Epenesa is traded for whatever they can get and Jones will come down with an ailment that puts him on IR before they cut him if they need his money
  24. The answer is safety until proven otherwise
  25. Similar bodies and speed profile but Moore had better production throughout his career which isn’t saying much
