  1. I don’t think Mitchell will be there at 28 in the real thing just my opinion
  2. In my first mock I was incredibly close to putting him there at 3 but chose to play it safe
  3. I can think of only two on this list I really liked that failed. Kadarius Toney and Jerry Jeudy who isn’t really a failure just never has lived up to his draft hype. There were plenty of Shenault and Juju lovers on this board for sure
  4. To me the idea isn’t awful awful but really to me the value has to exceed the importance to team. Im very high on Dorian Williams and believe he’s a future high end starter but it also means you have to spend another high midrounder on a LB for depth with two undersized LB. If you’re telling me someone is willing to part with a 2nd I probably do it for the reasons many have laid out. He has some injuries, he’s aging, and he’s not very big plus has a bigger contract but if I’m getting a mid rounder than no thanks
  5. It’s not surprising to me the skill level in this draft is way better than the trenches particularly the defensive side of things and the Bills needs are more at the skill spots
  6. Maybe I’m dumb but I didn’t read but what is the criteria for a hit vs a fail
  7. I love JT Clark out of UTSA as a late round/UDFA guy. Everything you look for but has had some big time injuries so his Medicals have kept him from testing/2023 season. Might have to go the way of Ivan Pace from last year.
  8. This is not a shot at anyone really and your best bet is the Vikings obviously but the problem with trades in a two rounder is the trading down team really won’t benefit anymore so because they will never be able to utilize the picks nor will the trading up team want to do it because they’ll make one pick and be done. That’s why I like 7 rounder mocks with trades the problem with that is most GMs check out by round 3 because the players they know in the process drops off a ton. The one I do on another site typically does it but isn’t doing it this year because no one is leading it. The guy used to run it had his own draft website but moved to Chins to teach English. My favorite one I ever did was a 5 rounds in 5 nights where it was in a chat with two podcasters where you would private message your trades and picks and they would announce them like a real draft. It was pretty cool
  9. This version is off to a great start lol
  10. The Arizona Cardinals draft is over: 1st Round (#4)- Marvin Harrison Jr WR Ohio State Others considered for the pick- None 1st Round(#27)- Terrion Arnold CB Alabama Others considered for the pick- None 2nd Round(#35)- Xavier Legette WR South Carolina Others Considered for the pick- Ladd McConkey, Chop Robinson(Gone), Zach Frazier OG 3rd Round(#66)- Bralen Trice DE Washington Others Considered for the pick- Adissa Isaac DE, Kris Jenkins(Gone), Braden Fiske (Gone) 3rd Round(#71)- Trey Benson RB Florida State Others Considered for the pick- Christian Haynes OG, Cole Bishop S, Junior Colson LB, Isaac DE 3rd Round(#90)- Cole Bishop SAF Utah Others Considered for the pick- Colson LB(Gone), Haynes(Gone), Van Pran (Gone), Trotter (Gone) Overall, I'm damn happy with the value I got in this draft. A lot of skill positions but I arguably came away with the best WR, CB, and RB in this draft in my 3 rounds. I thought about taking Zach Frazier at 35 and to be honest probably should have made that move with the remaining WR's left on the board but I wanted to pair the safe Harrison with a high upside WR in Legette instead of another floor player in McConkey. Trice is a high motor Defensive end who isn't the best athlete but never quits on plays and actually has a very advanced repertoire of pass rush moved. He'll get that opportunity in Arizona's 3-4. Benson and Bishop are players who will get PT in 2024 but will eventually take over for their incumbents in 2025 who will be Free Agents.
  11. WITH THE 90TH PICK IN THE 2024 NFL DRAFT, THE ARIZONA CARDINALS SELECT: COLE BISHOP SAFETY UNIVERSITY OF UTAH I fully went in with the idea of taking a LB, IOL, or Isaac here but Haynes, Van Pran, Colson and Trotter all go off the board right before our pick. Bishop is a hell of a consolation prize for the Cardinals as he is my personal favorite safety in this draft. He is not the best one right now but I think 3 years down the line there is a strong possibility he is the best one. Bishop possesses fantastic athletic ability and size and is a hell of a player in the run game both from inside of the box and running the alley from the deep safety spot. He has shown the ability to play one high safety, man to man on slot WR's and covering Tight Ends. This part of his game will have to be refined into the NFL game but with his smarts and athletic traits he should improve this part of his game exponentially. In the real draft, I think Bishop has the possibility of going in round 2. As for the fit with the Cardinals, he will come in at safety number 3 so he much like Benson can acclimate to the pro game before taking over at the Safety spot. Budda Baker is in the last year of his contract, doesn't want to play for a rebuild (which the Cardinals are doing) and will want to be paid one of the highest safeties in the league which doesn't seem frugal for a rebuilding NFL team to pay a Safety premium money hence the add of Bishop here.
  12. Great pick think he’s a slot in the NFL but no way he should make it to 89. Early 3rd rounder at worst
  13. Not a ton had come out about the Bills and their 30 visits to be honest. I don’t know why that is but there have been less names surfacing for sure
  14. In a traditional play structure the “Z” receiver will line up to the offenses strength whether right or left. The “X” receiver in a traditional sense is on the weak side and usually is more isolated away from coverage. In a traditional sense this WR is more likely to see 1 on 1 opportunities because of this hence the bigger wide body taller person who is more likely to win contested receptions. I think this is outdated but that’s traditionally how it works
  15. These last 10 picks have not been kind to my board
  16. He's 6'3 215 of course he's not going to out run guys who are 2-3 inches shorter and 20-30 pounds lighter than him. He's not a small guy and if he was outrunning DB's he wouldn't be considered in round 2 he'd be a top 10 pick.
  17. The two LB's going off the board didn't feel good for me coming up at 90 but def surprised Colson was on the board this late moreso than Trotter. Def would have taken Isaac and double dipped there as well at 90.
  18. He was a 2nd/3rd rounder to begin with even before this
  19. Never wanted him anyways. Large as can be and has limited pass rush outside of a bull rush. Strikes me as out of league in 4 years or 2 down run stuffer. I don’t see Vita Vea at all
  20. Spencer Rattler has been linked to them quite a bit and since they passed on QB that makes a bit of sense to me
  21. It’s like playing a game of who do you think is going to continue dropping. I keep going well I need this position but then I keep seeing a need that is maybe less but the player is far superior
  22. WITH THE 71ST PICK IN THE 2024 NFL DRAFT, THE ARIZONA CARDINALS SELECT: TREY BENSON RB FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY On the outside this is a head scratching selection but James Connor will be 29 this year and is on the last year of his contract when he’ll be 30 years old. The cardinals current backups are Deejay Dallas, Emari Demercado, and Michael Carter. Benson provides a strong downhill runner who can pass catch out of the backfield and is a solid pass blocker for someone coming out of college. He is a home run threat if he gets into the 2nd level. He will need to work on his vision and lowering his pads in the NFL but I compare him to a poor man’s Dalvin Cook. He will split with Conner and take 3rd down duties before Connor becomes a FA and becomes a workhorse for them in year 2 @Pasta Joe is on the clock
  23. WITH THE 66TH PICK IN THE 2024 NFL DRAFT, THE ARIZONA CARDINALS SELECT: BRALEN TRICE DE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON The Cardinals leading sack guy last year had 6 and Trice possesses good qualities for a pass rusher in the 3rd round. He has a well developed repertoire of pass rush moves and hustles on every play to make up for his average athleticism. Trice could compete for a starting role right away on the Edge or at the very least be a rotational piece for the first year. @Alphadawg7 is on the clock
  24. I am ready to go after Mat. Wanted one of the DTs but knew it was a long shot to make it to 66. If this were a trade mock I probably would have tried jumping Buffalos pick for Fiske
  25. Seattle is also one of those teams who tends to do things that are not chalk in the first round.
