  1. I agree I’ve been saying the same thing. They find Spreights and signed Landman this offseason to be a starter. Had Troy Reeder brought back , then had Paul and Dolac. I’m not buying Paul got cut until I actually see the transaction but if he did I’m not sure he’ll get down to the Bills waiver spot anyways
  2. If this is true, and I will say if, the Bills need to bring in Paul as LB # 5 and move Shaq Thompson to the PS
  3. My Final 53 Man Roster.....Probably going to be completely wrong haha QB: Josh Allen, Mitchell Trubisky (2) RB: James Cook, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson (3) FB: Reggie Gilliam (1) WR: Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers (6) TE: Dalton Kincaid, Dalton Knox, Jackson Hawes (3) OL: Dion Dawkins, David Edwards, Connor McGovern, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Alec Anderson, Tyler Grable, Ryan Van DeMark, Kendrick Green (9) DE: Joey Bosa, Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, Javon Solomon, Landon Jackson (5) DT: Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, T.J. Sanders, Deone Walker, Jordan Phillips (5) LB: Matt Milano, Terell Bernard, Dorian Williams, Joe Andreessen, Shaq Thompson (5) CB: Christian Benford, Tre White, Taron Johnson, Dorian Strong, Cam Lewis, Dane Jackson, Jamarcus Ingram (7) SAF: Cole Bishop, Taylor Rapp, Jordan Hancock, Damar Hamlin (4) K: Tyler Bass, P: Brad Robbins LS: Ferguson (3) Short Term IR: Maxwell Hairston PUP: Sedrick Van Pran Granger Suspended: Larry Ogunjobi, Michael Hoecht Notes & Thoughts: - I wonder if the Bills can move Mike White. Highly unlikely but he has a really reasonable backup contract, starting experience in the NFL, and apparently the Raiders are looking for an experienced guy after O'Connell broke his hand. - I think the first "controversial" positions is WR. The top 3 we knows are set. I think Samuel makes it because of his contract situation. Shavers did enough this preseason and his special teams play gets him on the roster. I'd say that Moore is the most likely to be cut but I think the fact he was out at the half of the last preseason game means he is going to make the initial roster as well. The only thing I can see here besides Moore possibly not making it is carrying 5 WR's if a Samuel Trade comes about. I think that is highly unlikely though. There is also the possibility of Gabe Davis in the mirror as a possibility. Does he replace Samuel or Moore if he is signed. - Offensive Line is an interesting for a couple of reasons. I think the first 8 are set. Beyond that SVP goes to PUP. Will it be Chase Lundt or will it be Kendrick Green or Dan Feeney. Frankly, I would keep Lundt as number 9 and then I would keep both Green and Feeney as my PS IOL and call them up until SVP is ready to return to the roster while protecting Lundt. Not sure Lundt gets through to the Practice Squad but here I try Defensive Line: Well that was an interesting signing of Jordan Phillips. I think they want a little more insurance at the DT spot than having to rely on a 2nd year guy and two rookies. This could go a lot of different ways as they could trade DeWayne Carter, which I have them doing in this model, releasing DaQuan Jones, or letting Larry Ogunjobi go. Either way, Phillips goes to the 53, they trade Carter for a late draft pick, and Ogunjobi eventually replaces Phillips and they swap when Ogunjobi comes off the Suspended list. Linebacker: I think the top 4 is pretty set. Its the # 5 spot that has me curious. Do the Bills doe what everyone expects them to do and keep Shaq Thompson as Linebacker # 5. Do they stun everyone and keep the Army kid as #5 because of his special teams abilities? Or do they go out and sign another LB that is cut from another organization. I'm actually leaning towards number 3 and feel the Bills will sign someone who will eventually be the 5th LB while Ciarlo and Thompson head to the Practice Squad. Cornerback: This position is the one from the first that has changed quite a bit from the beginning. I thought no way that the Bills would have both Ingram and Lewis on this years 53 again but add in an injury or two from Hairston and the uncertainty of Tre White status. The Bills keep a variety of guys for various reason. Ingram makes it because of Special Teams, Lewis because of his versatility, Strong because of his youth, and Jackson stays because of insurance for now. Safety: Pretty cut and dry. I don't expect the Bills to add anyone here I'd like to see these guys added to the Practice Squad for sure if they can get them through waivers. Shane Buechele QB Frank Gore Jr. RB K.J Hamler WR Khristian Wilkerson WR Keleki Latu TE Chase Lundt OT Dan Feeney OG/OC Jimmy Ciarlo LB
  4. I mean this signing is definitely either Carter getting traded or Daquan Jones retiring/getting cut
  5. If Phillips is back, I’m fully expecting the Bills to trade Dewayne Carter . Probably won’t get much but the Bills might take their 6th rounder and deal with it
  6. It is likely that Isaiah Likely is going to be out for the Ravens. That’s big for the Bills as well. Especially since the Bills will likely be down some secondary people
  7. I know it’s starting to pick up steam amongst Bills bloggers but it wouldn’t surprise me if DeWayne Carter was traded between now and Cut down day.
  8. His STs are going to be what has him on the 53 but what he showed as a WR this preseason probably solidified his spot as the # 5 WR. I think Samuel will be # 4 and if they decide to sign Davis, keep Moore etc he’ll be on the roster as WR # 6 regardless
  9. I think the Bills should keep Wilkerson on the PS. He has constantly flashed throughout the preseason
  10. Just another way this world is soft if it is true. His name is Beane. It makes sense that that would be a nickname for him. He's clearly not hispanic based on his skin tone and southern twang voice. My last name is of hispanic descent as well if its too hard to figure out and I have zero problem with it.
  11. I wouldn’t do it either since Thielen is a safety valve safe option for Young but Minnesota probably sees a team that has a young WR corps that the Panthers want to develop and would open up another spot for a youngster while adding another draft pick
  12. I really don’t care. Man made the money and can spend it in whatever way he desires. If it’s a yacht so be it . As for the taxpayers footing some of the Bills, he took on cost overruns of the new stadium on top of his portion he agreed to pay. NYS wastes a lot of money on a lot worse things than keeping the Bills in NY.
  13. Well not good for the depth of the secondary that’s for sure. I’ll wait and see before jumping to conclusions but even if it’s a 4 week thing I’d almost have to expect a veteran to be brought in whether CB currently on the market or one that will be cut
  14. Yes I agree it’s not real pretty so far but let’s give these guys some time. 2nd and 3rd years are a great indicator of future success, especially a team like the Bills where they make sure young players are prepared before throwing them to the wolves. Hopefully these guys continue to to ascend as players . Yes there are some stinkers. Obviously Clayton was a whatever pick, Hardy has already been cut once and will likely be again. I expect Ulofoshio to be cut. I still think Grable and Solomon were solid selections late. Van Pran is hurt but was and is good value still. I get it this draft comes down to Coleman, Bishop, and Carter. Two will be starters and Carter will be on the roster in my opinion or traded . I still think there is something there
  15. Mack was on the last year of his rookie deal when he was traded to the Bears and the Bears gave him the new 6 year 140 ish million dollar contract
  16. It’s funny because this past off season I brought up the idea of bringing Phillips back as we needed a 1tech. The Vikings added a lot of DTs and it looked like Phillips was the odd man out but the Vikings had also just signed him to an extension. I think it’s a good move for both teams
  17. Have the Bills placed a call I would say it’s likely. Has it gone beyond that I doubt it. This just reeks of Myles Garrett who wanted to be traded so badly until he got the money he felt he deserved. I assume Dallas and Parsons will figure something out. Jones has done this with all his top players. If, for whatever reason he does get moved at least the Bills are A. In the AFC and B. Have a good trading relationship with the Cowboys based on history. The Bills would probably have to give up the Khalil Mack deal plus inflation. The Mack deal was: Bears received: Mack 2nd Rounder Conditional 5th Raiders received: 1st round pick 1st round pick 3rd round pick 6th round pick I’m thinking 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 4th for Parsons, a 3rd, and a 5th makes sense based on the similarities of the Mack deal plus inflation
  18. Alexander is a very good fit for a zone defense especially. He was projected to be drafted and some people had him as a late 2nd/3rd round guy but then he got to the combine and he put up dreadful athletic numbers which probably had to do with his steep drop to the undrafted . Throw in the fact he blew out his knee(could have gotten flagged) and the fact he’s really only a zone CB and that’s the reason he’s available. Honestly I think I’d try him at safety with his length and athletic profile but CB e could play CB in a pinch in a zone heavy scheme
  19. If Davis is being brought in for a visit it’s one of two things. They are doing a med check on his shoulder for the future or they are dissatisfied with their # 4 WR spot . Probably a bit of both. Now this doesn’t mean to me that Samuel is going to be cut as I think his contract dictates him being kept for another year but even McDermott said they’re worried about the drop off. Davis would be the # 4 guy, Samuel would be # 5 and they would then keep a 6th WR for STs whether that would be Shavers or Shenault. Maybe they bite the bullet though as they said enough is enough with Spector already and maybe they’re close to that with Samuel and they sign Davis then keep both Shenault/Shavers for STs
  20. As long as he’s WR # 4 then fine. He’s a very good blocker which the Bills appreciate from their Wide Receivers. He’d be a good injury fill in for a game or two from injury. Anything beyond that I’ll pass
  21. You remember the guy last year who Tua hit slightly behind him in Miami and it bounced in the air for us to intercept. It’s that guy
  22. They’ll run it back with Mitch he looked solid either way the first team last week
  23. I usually wouldn’t start a new thread about something like this but with the board on Code Red about our safety depth and the fact that they could use an upgrade over their backups at minimum (Hamlin, Lewis, Forrest etc) I think the possibility of Dugger actually would be something that makes sense. Now I don’t think that the Patriots would trade him to Buffalo unless they were the clear best offer but if the Patriots were to release him I think the Bills would strongly consider him. Word in his draft year was the Bills and McDermott especially loved him as a prospect and was ready to take him before the Patriots surprisingly took him early. Just something to keep an eye on because it could turn out to be a nothing burger
  24. Oh I knew it was Rogers and Logue haha I’m just highlighting how bad both were despite a good play by Hancock
  25. I get what you’re saying. Outside of the Bengals divisional game and the first AFC title game every game the Bills have lost they could have easily won. They just don’t make plays when it matters. I’ve said it about 100 times, people always want to blame something. The Bengals lost we need offense, the 13 second game our coaching cost us, two years ago it was injuries and kicking, last year it was Benford/Elam, when the truth is despite all of that the Bills had the game in their grasp and squandered the opportunity to take it
